The AlphaEntry™ Door Station(s) speaker phone
shall be Alpha Communications® AlphaEntry™

AEDSMP (or AEDSMP-EWP with Enhanced

Weather Protection) or equivalent. T he AEDSMP
(or AEDSMP-EWP) shall be used in conjunction
with the AlphaEntry™ touchsc reen lobby (entry)
master station(s), when c onnection to a
telephone line is required for speakerphone
capabilities, or by itself as a stand-alone
communicat ion station.

The AEDSMP (or AEDSMP-EWP) shall be
mounted horizontally (or vertically) and shall
feature a Light Grey colored impact resistant UV
stable plastic exterior with enamel coat ed PCB.
Unit shall be telephone line powered and shall
have positive screw terminal connec tors on
the rear. Unit shall have individual speaker and
microphone volume cont rols and programmable
VOX switc hing speed, as required.

Contractor shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

The Alpha Communications® AEDSMP and AEDSMPEWP) AlphaEntry™ AlphaEntry™
Door Stations are designed to be used with the AlphaEntry™ touchsc reen master
stat ions (such as model# KPVM-I-17 and KPVM-O- 17) or others, to enable open
voice speakerphone capabilities at that station. T ypically this is used when
the AlphaEntry™ system is being used as a telephone-entry type system (or similar).

The AEDSMP (or AEDSMP-EWP) mounts behind the faceplate of the AlphaEntry™
touc hscreen master station, and connect s t o the telephone line, by means of
some additional AlphaEntry™ hardware components.

The AEDSMP / AEDSMP-EWP is a line-powered speaker phone designed to provide
two- way voice c ommunications. It can be mounted horizontally (as shown herein)
or vertically, depending upon space restrictions and availability. The AEDSMP-EWP
version offers Enhanced Weather Protec tion for special environments.
