The Annunciator Control Unit(s) shall be shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model AC152, or
approved equal. The AC152 shall provide power and control
circuits to operate the audible and visual signals for emergency
and routine calls of a c omplete nurse-call system. Routine calls
shall be indicat ed by a steady light and slowly repeat ing tone
signal. The c ontrol unit shall automatically cancel the normal
audible signal during intercom use. The unit shall contain all of the
elect ronic c ircuitry needed for the features mentioned above. The

AC152 shall support up to 1 amp of current load from field devices.

It shall also support interconnect ion of a secondary power supply
to increase t he output c urrent to 3 amps (using an auxiliary Power
Supply). Routine and emergency c ommon lines shall be protected
against shorted connections.

The AC152 shall also feat ure a built-in battery charging circuitry,
and a Form 'C' dry contac t relay which will activate when system
calls are plac ed.

The AC152 shall be mountable right to the surface of the wall or in
the optional model CEC152 U.L.® Listed junct ion
box cabinet. The AC152 shall be UL® 1069 Listed to the latest
standards.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

CEC152 U.L.® Listed steel junction box cabinet, in a

painted Beige finish. Used t o house and protect t he AC152
and its wiring connec tions.

The Alpha Communicat ions® AC152 annunciator control unit is
used to provide power and control circuits to operate
the AlphaLinq™ 100 series visual nurse-c all syst em, but can be
used and is bac kwards compatible with some older syst ems as
well. The AC152 contains the elec tronic circuitry necessary to
detec t the presence of routine and emergency c alls, and t o
generate audible and visual control signals. It provides steady or
intermittent voltages to operate visual signaling devices. T he

AC152 supports up to 1 amp of c urrent load from the field devices,

and supports interconnect ion of a sec ondary power supply to
increase t he output c urrent load to 3 amps. Protect ive c ircuitry
has been incorporated to protect routine and emergency call
commons from shorts.

The AC152 shall also feat ure a built-in battery charging circuitry,
and a Form 'C' dry contac t relay which will activate when system
calls are plac ed.

Each master st ation requires it's own AC152 for power and c ontrol.

The AC152 is U.L. 1069 listed, to the latest st andards.
