Specifications
The annunciator/cont rol panel(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® / Cornell A-4000 series
or approved equal, with c ontrols for tone hi-low
lamp test , power On LED, plus indicator LEDs
for EMERGENCY and ROUTINE calls. LEDs shall
be provided for room annunciation,
with designation st rips. An audible signal shall
be provided. The A-4000 series master
annunciator shall be finished in natural anodized
aluminum finish and shall be flush, surface or
desk mounted, depending on the housing being
provided.
The A-4000 control panels shall be UL® 1069
Listed.
Contract or shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

A-4000 Series Audible-Visual LED Nurse-Call Master
The Alpha Communicat ions® / Cornell A- 4000 Audible Visual Nurse Call
Annunciator/Control Panel provides for audible and visual c all indication without the
use of voice intercom communications. A basic nurse-call system may consist of an
A-4000 series annunciator/c ontrol panel, room call stations, emergency c all stat ions,
dome lights, zone lights, control unit and power supply equipment. EMERGENCY c alls
take precedence over ROUTINE calls. Call signals can be c anceled at point of origin
only. Indicat or LEDs signal the presence of EMERGENCY and/ or ROUTINE calls. The
A-4000 series is available in a number of configurations and sizes based on
system requirements.
All A- 4000 series annunciator units shall be made of anodized aluminum and shall
provide designation strips. The faceplate shall feat ure hi-low tone switc h, LED
power ON indicator and lamp test switch. Depending on the housing provided, t he
unit shall be flush, surface or desk mounted.
