Specifications

The 'NoCoax' power supply/amplifier shall be
Alpha Communications® / Elvox model 6568/117,
or approved equal. Amplifier shall operate from a
standard 117VAC power source. All other wiring
to power supply/amplifier shall be low-voltage
Class II wiring, installed as per all federal, state,
and local elec trical codes. Power
supply/amplifier shall surfac e mount right to t he
finished wall and shall be installed in a suitable
environment that is free from excessive dirt,
dust, temperature, humidity, grease and
water. Power supply/amplifier shall provide the
intercom amplification and signaling power for
proper system operation. For most sec ure
installation, power supply should be installed into
a lockable equipment c abinet/housing.
The 6568/117 is designed to be used with the

6306 'NoCoax' series apartment video-intercom

monitor units (or equivalent).

Power supply/amplifier shall be installed a safe
distance from any source of elect rical
interference.

Contract or shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

6568/117 Amplifier/Power Supply

The Alpha Communicat ions® / Elvox 6568/117 amplifier/power supplies are used with
the 6306 'NoCoax' series video-intercom systems (or equivalent), to provide intercom
amplification, power to operate the elect ric door opener(s) et c., and power to
operate t he video monitor units, for a single building entrance.

The 6568/117 units each require a standard 117VAC power source.

These 6568/117 amplifier/power supplies are designed to easily surface mount right
onto t he finished wall by means of customer supplied screws. Connections are
positive sc rew terminal type.

Only one (1) 6568/117 is required for each system, regardless of the number of
monitors (1 per apt.).

Wiring Requirements

Basic 'NoCoax' video-intercom riser wiring shall be 4-c ommon #22AWG, and 1
selective wire #22AWG, for each video monitor stat ion connec ted to t he riser cable.
Add one (or more) additional common wires if other monitor func tions will be used.
