6201 Rem ote Handse t

Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The apartment handset(s) shall be Alpha Communicat ions® / Elvox

6201 Petrarca style, or approved equal. At eac h remote apartment

locat ion, cont ractor shall furnish and install one (1) model 6201
handset. Each handset shall provide a private duplex conversation
with the Entry Panel. Handset shall utilize an electret microphone.
Signal shall be a pleasant tone from a dedicated speaker inside the
handset. Handset s utilizing the earpiece for tone will not be
accept able. The Residenc e Station shall have a pushbutt on for
concierge call/remote activation of the door release. Optional
restricted lock feature shall allow only the st ation in conversation
with door to release lock. Up t o 8 additional pushbuttons or other
accessories shall be available. The residence station shall be wall
mounted, desk mounted with a special desk kit or c ombined with a

6000 Galileo Video Monitor on a 6145 wall plate or 6142 Video Desk

Kit.

Contract or shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.

6201 2-Wire Petrarca Tone Ring Handsets

The Alpha Communicat ions® / Elvox™ 6201 (Pet rarca Style)
apartment handsets are for use with the 2- Wire (1+1) Tone Ring
Audio entry syst ems. The 6201 can be use st andalone as an audio
only stat ion or combined with a 6000 video monitor using a 6145
wall pate or 6142 desk kit for a complete audio-video st ation. The

6201 provides full duplex c onversation with the c alling ent ry

panel(s), concierge call/door release c ontrol and signal to activate
the 6000 monitor when bot h are mounted together for audio-video
operation. Optional restrict ed lock feature allows only the stat ion
in conversat ion with door to release lock.

The 6201 handset can also be used as a Master Stat ion handset,
in conjunction with the PC type Concierge Mast er Stat ion, on the
DigiBus™ type systems.
