Required Tools for Installation
The following tools are needed for either bracket installation.
•#2 Phillips screwdriver
•Safety glasses
•A drill and 4 mm drill bit (needed only for wall mount installations)
•Four M4x20 stainless steel screws (customer supplied; needed only for wall mount installations)
Remove the Factory-installed Book Mount Bracket
To remove the factory-installed book mount bracket, perform the following steps.
1.Disconnect power to the book mount box PC or book mount box thin client.
2.Disconnect any peripheral cables that are connected to the PC or thin
client.
3.Disconnect the ground wire from the ground screw on the PC or thin client.
4.With the #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the
book mount bracket.

Mounting Requirements
Follow these guidelines to make sure that your monitor provides service with excellent reliability.When choosing the installa tion site, consider the following:
Follow these requirements to mount either bracket.
•Choose a suitable mounting height
•Only mount the box PC or box thin client in a horizontal
orientation and vertical (upright) position for the following:
- For wall mounts: the I/O ports face upward and the
ground screw is on a lower mounting bracket, as
shown in the figure at right
- For DIN rail mounts: the I/O ports face forward and the
ground screw is at the bottom, as shown in the figure
at right
•Mount the box PC or box thin client so there is at least 20 mm
(0.8 in.) of clearance on each side for the circulation that is
necessary for cooling.
Install the Wall Mount Bracket
To install a wall mount bracket, perform the following steps.
1.Verify that you have first performed all steps in Remove the Factory-installed Book Mount Bracket on page 1.
2.With the #2 Phillips screwdriver and the four supplied screws, install the wall mount bracket on the box PC or
box thin client as shown in the following illustration and as detailed in Mounting Requirements
3.Use the dimensions in the following figure to locate and then drill four holes to accommodate four M4x20
stainless steel screws.

4.Install the wall mount computer with the four screws as shown in the figure
at right, with the I/O ports facing upward.
5.Tighten the four screws.
6.Reconnect peripheral cables to the box PC or box thin client.
7.Reinstall the ground wire to the ground screw.
8.Reconnect power to the box PC or box thin client.
Install the DIN Rail Mount Bracket
To install a DIN rail mount bracket, perform the following steps.
1.Verify that you have first performed all steps in Remove the Factory-installed Book Mount Bracket
2.With the #2 Phillips screwdriver and the four supplied screws, install the DIN rail mount bracket on the box PC
or box thin client as shown in the following illustration and as detailed in Mounting Requirements
3.Use the following dimensions as reference.

A DIN rail is not supplied with the bracket. An installed DIN rail is the
responsibility of the customer.
IMPORTANT
4.Install the computer on a DIN rail as shown in the figure at right.
5.Reconnect peripheral cables to the box PC or box thin client.
6.Reinstall the ground wire to the ground screw.
7.Reconnect power to the box PC or box thin client.
