IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. is appliance complies with applicable technical rules and standards at time of manufacture.
3. is appliance is designed to run only on alternating current. To avoid injury, damage to the appliance, and voiding of the warranty, always check before rst use that the power supply corresponds to that indicated on the appliance’s rating plate.
CAUTION: BLADES ARE EXTREMELY SHARP. Avoid contact with moving parts during use. Neverhandle the blender shaft blades when the appliance is plugged in, even if the power is not on.
4. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the blender body or charger base into water or any other liquid.
5. Always unplug the charger base:
- if it is not working correctly,
- before assembly, disassembly, cleaning or maintenance,
- after each use.
6. Do not place or use this appliance on a hot plate or close to a ame (gas cooktop).
7. Never use the appliance if:
- it has been dropped,
- it shows signs of damage or is missing parts,
- the power cord shows signs of damage.
8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
9. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
10. Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter.

3
11. Do not let the power cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
12. is appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
13. Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning.
14. Do not disassemble the appliance except for cleaning and ordinary maintenance.
15. For all other repairs, contact an authorized service center.
16. e use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or injury.
17. is appliance has been designed for household use only. In case of any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
18. is appliance should not be used by children and care should be taken when used near children.
19. Be sure to watch over children to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
20. Do not use outdoors.
21. When mixing liquids, use a tall container or blend smaller quantities to avoid splashing.
22. Use care when blending hot liquids.
23. Keep hands and utensils out of containers while blending to avoid severe injury or damage to the appliance. A spatula may be used to scrape down the sides, but only after the blender is removed from the container.
24. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
25. Do not use an extension cord. Plug charger directly into an electrical outlet.
26. Do not charge batteries with charger plugged into an outdoor outlet.
27. Unplug the charger from the outlet before attempting any routine cleaning of the charger.
28. Do not operate a damaged charger. Have damaged charger replaced immediately.
29. Do not incinerate the hand blender, even if it is severely damaged. e batteries can explode in a re.
30. is appliance contains lithium-ion batteries which must be recycled at the end of the life of the hand blender and disposed of properly. (See Disposal/Recycling of Batteries, page 6.) Do not incinerate or compost batteries, as they will explode at high temperature.
4
31. Prevent unintentional starting. Never Unlock the safety switch on the blender body unless you are ready to use your blender.
32. Recharge only with the charger specied by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with another battery pack.
33. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery. Avoid contact with such liquid. If contact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
34. Do not replace a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modied. Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury.
35. Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to re or excessive heat. Exposure to re or temperatures above 265°F/130°C may cause an explosion.
36. Have service performed by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement parts. is will ensure that the safety of the appliance is maintained.
37. Recommended ambient charging temperature 50°F−104°F (10°C− 40°C).
38. Recommended storage temperature 50°F− 104°F (10°C− 40°C).
39. Use only the power adapter supplied with this appliance.

DISPOSING OF YOUR APPLIANCE
Your appliance contains many materials which can be recycled.
Consult your local waste collection agency for information on how to properly dispose of your appliance.
Always dispose of your battery pack according to federal, state, and local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your area for recycling locations.
Even discharged battery packs contain some energy. Before disposing, use electrical tape to cover the terminals to prevent the battery pack from shorting, which could cause a re or explosion.
