POSITIONING

The Product 8 Pre Amplifier does not need to dissipate any heat and therefore can be placed anywhere within the
system. When using with the Product 8 Power Amplifier(s), do not stack.

MAINS POWER CONNECTION

The Product 8 Pre Amplifier comes with an IEC mains lead fitted with the relevant plug type for the country of use.
If there is any need to change this then follows the relevant instructions for the plug type used.

There is an external replaceable fuse on the rear of the unit: refer to specifications for fuse value.

Never replace with a different value.

Be sure that your system is switched off whilst connecting / disconnecting any leads.

The controls on the fascia of the Product 8 Pre
Amplifier are: V

UTE and 6 INPUTS SELECTORS with a power

OLUME CONTROL, POWER,

indicator above the volume control.
All functions are duplicated on the Product 8

Pre Amplifier remote handset (except Power).

OLUME: Use this control to adjust to your

required listening level. You will probably find
that the maximum usable volume will be
attained at approximately two o'clock position
on the volume control (See Loudspeaker
Matching)

OWER: This will allow the Product 8 Pre

Amplifier to be either fully powered up or
completely switched off. When the unit is
first powered up it will revert to the volume
to zero and select input 1. The mute
function will also be set.

UTE: Once the Product 8 Pre Amplifier has

been initially switched and powered up, this
function will allow you to toggle between;
normal listening and mute.

NPUTS SELECTORS: These determine the

source component to be listened to. These
selections are also controlled by the Product 8
Pre Amplifier remote handset. The selected
input will also be routed to the tape output
sockets.

The Product 8 Pre Amplifier comes supplied with a full function handset. It
requires one CR2032 3V battery (supplied) to operate and the functions are
as follows:
