use; reduce the backlight time, etc.

1.2.2 Power on your phone
Hold down the Power key until the phone powers on, unlock your phone (Slide, PIN, password, pattern)
if necessary, once unlocked, Home screen is displayed.
If you don't know your PIN code or if you have forgotten it, contact your service provider. Do not store
PIN code within your phone, instead store PIN in a location that is accessible without using phone.
Set up your phone for the first time
The first time you power on the phone, you should set the following options:
rSelect the phone's language, then touch .
• Select an enabled Wi-Fi, then touch NEXT, otherwise touch SKIP.
• Set up Google Email and Services by following prompts, view Terms and touch AGREE. Next you will
be prompted to download backed up apps & date from your Google account, touch NEXT.
• Set the Protect your phone feature, this feature prevents others from using your phone without
your permission. To activate SET SCREEN LOCK, if you prefer select SKIP to move to next screen.
• Next the Setup complete screen will be displayed, touch FINISH.
Even if no SIM card is installed, your phone will still power on and you will be able to connect to a Wi-Fi
network and use some of the phone's features.
1.2.3 Power off your phone
With phone ON, hold down the Power key until the pop-up menu appears, select Power off to
confirm.
1.3 Home screen
You can move all of the items (applications, shortcuts, folders and widgets) you use most frequently to
your Home screen for quick access. Touch the Home key to switch to the Home screen.

sideways to have a better view. To activate rotate mode, touch Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen > Rotate screen contents. This feature is available when viewing a picture, a video, or a
webpage, etc.

1.3.5 Customize quick launch icons on lock screen
The phone has quick accesses to five apps from lock screen by default: New message, Email, Selfie,
Calculator, Keep. You can customize your lock screen by creating quick launch icons, which can
directly bring you into a specific function or app.
To enable quick launch function on lock screen:
1. Touch Settings > Lock screen.
2. Make sure the Screen Lock is not set to None.
3. Touch Func shortcuts to access menu, toggle the switch to turn on Func
function.

3. A list of 14 shortcuts allows you to choose from. Five of them are preset in phone, you can
manually select the shortcuts you want to show on lock screen.

Reposition
Touch and hold the item to be repositioned to activate the Move mode, drag the item to the desired
position and then release. You can move items both on the Home screen and the Favorite tray. Hold
the icon on the left or right edge of the screen to drag the item to another Home screen.
To use quick launch icons on lock screen:
1. Press the Powe r key to light the screen.
2. Double tap the desired quick launch icon to explore the function or app.

Create folders
To improve the organization of items (shortcuts or applications) on the Home screen, you can
add them to a folder by stacking one item on top of another. To rename a folder, open it and
touch the folder’s title bar to input the new name.

1.5 Phone Protection
Device protection is automatically activated when you add a Google Account and set a screen lock.

ogether with Android Device Manager, you can locate and erase your phone and protect it from
reuse if it’s lost or stolen. Even if your phone gets wiped, your Google Account password will be
required before anyone can use your phone.

1. Select Protect your phone when prompted during phone set up.
