Widio Wireless Audio System
Installation and Operating Instructions
Introduction
Congratulations on choosing the Widio Wireless Audio System. This device was
designed for wireless headphones usage completely detached from audio equipment
(e.g. stereos, TVs, personal computers, DVD players etc.).
With the Widio system you can:
Enjoy your stereo, TV, DVD, PC audio anywhere in your house.
Turn your favorite headphones set into a wireless headphones set
Use multiple transceivers to broadcast audio from different audio equipment at
the same time using different channels.

interruption
The Widio wireless system uses a special RF (Radio Frequency) technology (DSSS,
Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) operating at 2.4 GHz and transmitting digital
audio signals at 2 Mbps. The transceiver can transmit signals up to 50 meters in an
open area. There is no data compression insuring fluid, uninterrupted audio data
transmission. Widio is also independent of audio format (MP3, WMA, Audio CD, DVD

The Big Picture
The Widio system contains two basic components, the transceiver and receiver. The
transceiver is connected by cable to your audio system (e.g. stereo system, mp3
player etc.) where it receives audio signals (A). It then retransmits those audio signals
into digital data using RF technology (B). The receiver, a portable pocket device that
you carry with you, picks up these digital signals and forwards them to your
headphones (C).
Note
Do not short the leads on the receiver. Shorting the leads can
damage them and cause problems when recharging the receiver.
Do not touch the area within the receiver charger slot. Do not
place anything but the receiver into the slot. This will prevent
charging problems in the future
Installation
The following steps are a guide to show you how to quickly set up your Widio Audio
system.
3
(Transceiver Setup)
Step 1
a) Audio systems with left and right speaker connectors
Standard stereo systems usually have left and right audio-out connectors. To
connect to these types of output connectors, locate the audio cable with dual
connectors on each end (cable included in packaging). Attach the connectors on
one end to your audio system’s left/right output connectors (A). Take the other end
and plug those connectors into the transceiver audio input connectors (B). Make
sure that the colored connectors (red/white) on the cable match up between the
“Left” and “Right” connectors on the transceiver and the audio system. For
example, if the red connector on one end of the cable is attached to the “right
audio-in” connector on the transceiver, make sure that the red connector on the
other end is attached to the “right audio-out” connector on the stereo system.
Other systems such as TVs and Game Boxes typically have similar left/right
audio-out connectors and can be installed in the same way.
Note: Some Game Boxes have a special audio connector requiring a special cable
(e.g. XBOX etc.). Refer to the picture below.
