T o place
Place the TV set on a horizontal, stable surface, do not block the ventilation
holes, avoid placing the TV in direct sunshine or near heating source, otherwise
the internal components will be damaged.
Power cord protection
Connect the AC power correctly, and ensure to ground perfectly, be careful not
to damage the power cord. Do not place it under a heavy object. Do not let it be
spliced, worn out or knotted. Do not pull or bend the power cord.
! Precaution
If and when anything abnormal, turn off the power immediately, unplug the
power plug from the outlet and call the shop for repair. Do not remove the
back cover by yourselves in order to avoid electrical shock. Laypeople are not
allowed to repair the TV set by himself.
Do not use the power adaptor that n o t matches the TV set.
When away for a long time, unplug the power plug.
Do not plug or pull the power plug using wet hand.
When you plug or pull the power plug, hold the isolation part of the plug, do
not pull the power cord.
Do not drip or splash water on the TV set. Do not put the container that
contains liquid on the TV set, in order to avoid electrical shock or damage.
Do not put any objects or container that contains liquid on the TV set. The
liquid may leak into the TV set through the ventilation hole and cause
electrical leakage.
Do not cover the TV set in order to avoid the temperature rising too high and
cause damage.
Do not press or touch the panel.
Do not touch the antenna cable in lightening weather.
Do not touch the terminal on the back cover when the TV set is at work.
Do not connect any insecurity accessories to the TV set.
Set up the antenna away from highways, power lines and neon signs.

Maintenance
In case of maintenance, please confirm that the power is turned off and the plug is
pulled out.
Do not use benzene, petrol or oil thinner to clean the TV.
Clean the cabinet with a soft and dry cloth. If the cabinet is very dirty, use a soft and
wet cloth, then dry it.
Clean the LCD panel with soft, dry paper or cloth, do not press the panel.
To avoid scratches please wipe the panel & TV box gently.
Other items
Please confirm that the power is turned off when the TV set is loaded and transported;
do not touch, especially do not press the panel during loading and transportation.
Do not turn on and off the TV set continuously, stop at least 2 seconds, otherwise it
will decrease the TV set’s life cycle.
Be careful with condensation at sudden temperature change. Condensation makes
damage to panel, wait for sometime (still be electrified), until it dissolves.
Avoid to display the still picture for a long time, it will damage the panel. We will not
repair the TV set free from charge caused by this reason.
Check the antenna periodically and change it in time when it is damaged.
Installation
Turn the TV set off when it is connecting the signal or power cord.
T o connect the antenna
Connect the antenna or the CATV signal cable directly to the
antenna input terminal located at the back cover, otherwise it will cause
poor image.
Notes: 1. Please use 75Ω coaxial cable, in order to eliminate the
interference caused by the radio wave.
2. Do not band the antenna cable and the power cord
together.
T o connect the power
Insert one end of the power cable of the adapter to the power input
terminal located at the back cover and other end of the power cable o f
the adapter to the power outlet (AC 100V~240V 50/60Hz), which is
grounding perfectly.
The power adopted by this TV set: DC 12V 5A
When away for a long time, unplug the power adaptor’s plug from
AC power outlet.

Remote control’s battery inst allation
Remove the battery cover; insert two size AAA batteries matching the +/- polarities of
the battery to the +/-marks inside the battery compartment.
The battery life should be about one year under normal use.
When the remote control will not be used for a long perio d of time,
remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Do not use rechargeable Ni-Cd battery.
If it is out of battery, change the two batteries at same time.
Do not use different model (different material) battery.
Do not recharge the battery.

Basic operation
The key mentioned in this chapter refers to the key on the remote control, for some
functions you can also press the button on control panel, for details, please see “Brief
introduction of operation system—Brief introduction of control panel”.
T o turn on/off the TV
1. Press the button o n control panel (confir m the power cord is connect ed correctly),
turn on the TV.
2. If the TV is at standby status, press<POWER> on the remote control, the TV is turned on.
3. Press <POWER> on the remote control again, the TV will enter into standby status.
4. If you want to turn off the power completely, unplug the power adaptor’s plug from AC
power outlet.
T o receive TV program
1. At TV mode, Press <LCD-MENU> three times, “TV MENU” will display on the screen.
2. Press <>/<> to select “AUTO SEARCH” item.
3. Press <>, The TV will auto search.
4. If you want to stop auto search, press <> to ex i t . Please
note that this operation will eliminate all the channels you
search originally, only store the channel you searched just
before you stop the auto search.
After auto search finishes, you can change the channel by
pressing <CH+>/<CH->, or press the number key to enter into your desired channel
directly.
T o adjust volume
Press <VOL+>/<VOL->, you can increase or decrease the volume directly.
Mute
Press <MUTE>, the mute mark will display on the screen, it indicates the mute
function is turned on, the sound disappears, press <MUTE> again, the mute mark will
disappear on the screen, it indicates the mute function is turned off, the sound recovers.
Receiving channel by pressing number key
When you select the channel number 0~9, press the relevant number key;
When you select the channel numbers 10~99, press the “-/--” until the screen displays
“ --” then press the channel numbers.
When you select the channel numbers 100~199, press the “-/--” until the screen
displays “ ---” then press the channel numbers.

The usage of menu on TV mode
On TV mode, press <LCD-MENU> continually， the screen displays “VIDEO
MENU”， ”AUDIO MENU”, “TV MENU” and “GENERAL MENU” respectively.
To use VIDEO MENU
Press <LCD-MENU>, the screen displays “VIDEO
MENU”. There are BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR,
and SHARPNESS in “VIDEO MENU”, for example
“BRIGHTNESS”, the adjusting procedure is as follows:
1. Press <>/<> to select “BRIGHTNESS” item.
2. Press <>/<> to adjust “BRIGHTNESS” to the best.
To adjust other items, you can refer to above operation.
To use AUDIO MENU
Press <LCD-MENU> twice, the screen displays “AUDIO
MENU”. There are VOLUME, BALANCE, AUDIO PRESET,
TREBLE and BASS in “AUDIO MENU”, for example
“VOLUME”, the adjusting procedure is as follows:
1. Press <>/<> to select “VOLUME” item.
2. Press
<>/<> to adjust “VOLUME” to the best.
To adjust other items, you can refer to above operation.
AUDIO PRESET: PERSONAL, VOICE, MUSIC and
THEATRE.
To adjust TREBLE and BASS items, you must set the AUDIO PRESET item at
PERSONAL mode.
To use TV MENU
Press <LCD-MENU> three times, the screen displays “TV MENU”. There are
CHANNEL, SYSTEM, SKIP, AFC, FINE TUNE, SWAP， MANUAL SEARCH and AUTO
SEARCH in “TV MENU”, the adjusting procedure is as follows:

If you unsatisfied with some channels or if some
channels are repeated, you can skip the channel by turn the
SKIP on.

You can adjust LANGUAGE, BLUE SCREEN, NOISE
REDUCE, INPUT SOURCE and RESET in this menu. You
can conduct the following adjustment when the “GENERAL
MENU” is open.
Press <LCD-MENU> four times, the screen displays
“GENERAL MENU”. “INPUT SOURCE” displays the current
mode。
LANGUAGE
1. Open “GENERAL MENU”, press <>/<> to select
“LANGUAGE” item.
2. Press <>/<> to select the menu language.
BLUE SCREEN
1. Open “GENERAL MENU”, press <>/<> to select
“BLUE SCREEN” item.
2. Press <>/<> to select “ON” or “OFF”.
ON—Display the blue screen when there is no signal.
NOISE REDUCE
1. Open “GENERAL MENU”, press <>/<> to select
“NOISE REDUCE” item.
2. Press <>/<> to select “ON” or “OFF”.
Reduce the noise of the picture, provide clearer

The usage of menu on PC mode
On PC mode, press <LCD-MENU> continually， the screen displays “PC MENU”，
“AUDIO MENU” and “GENERAL MENU” respectively. “AUDIO MENU” and “GENERAL
MENU” ’s operation methods are the same as that of the TV mode.
To use PC MENU
There are BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR SETTING, AUTO CONFIG,
H-POSITION V-POSITION, PHASE and CLOCK in PC MENU.
For example: the “BRIGHTNESS”, the adjusting procedure is as follows:
1. Press <LCD-MENU> to enter into “PC MENU”.
2. Press <>/<> to enter into “BRIGHTNESS” item.
3. Press <>/<> to adjust the “BRIGHTNESS” to the best.
Except “COLOR SETTING” and “AUTO CONFIG”, other
items’ adjustment can refer to the above operation.
COLOR SETTING: select among 9300K, 6500K and
user define.
When you select “user” mode in “COLOR SETTING” item,
the screen displays “USER COLOR SETTING” sub-menu, the
adjusting procedure is as “BRIGHTNESS” item.
After you select “AUTO CONFIG” item, press <>, the
system will adjust PHASE, CLOCK and POSITION automatically. You can press <AUTO>
key on the remote control directly to conduct AUTO function.

DVD mode
Press <INPUT> to select AV, SCART, S-VIDEO or DVD.
On AV, SCART, S-VIDEO or DVD mode, press <LCD-MENU> continually， the screen
displays “VIDEO MENU”(“DVD MENU”)， “AUDIO MENU” and “GENERAL MENU”
respectively.
Operation method is the same as that of the TV mode.

Basic Operations and Functions(DVD)
Press <POWER> on the TV or the remote control, then press
<TV/AV> to select DVD mode.
Place a disc
Insert a disc with the date side facing towards you.
Do not touch the playing surface.
Hold the disc around the outside with your fingers and place the disc into the slot.
The player will automatically draw the disc into the player.
To eject the disc, press <EJECT> on the remote control
Select Playing
Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD, WMA, Digital Audio disc/JPEG discs.
You can also select your desired track by using the numeric key (but only under PB C
off mode). Press numeric key (0-9, -/--) for selecting.
e.g. : Track No.22 press numeric key -/-- for two times, and then press numeric key 2.
You can also press <TITLE> on the remote control for this function.
MENU
Compatible with DVD, SVCD or VCD2.0.
When playing DVD, SVCD, VCD2.0 discs, press this key to the root menu, you can
choose menu item again.
TITLE
Compatible with DVD discs only.
When playing a disc, press this key to return to the main title and you can choose title again.

Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD, WMA, Digital Audio discs.

Note: To cancel the AB repeat function, press AB

LANGUAGE selection

TIME selection
Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD discs
1. While playing DVD disc, press TIME, the screen will show the titles and chapters
of the disc.
2. Use the cursor key to select the position, then input position num ber and press
ENTER to confirm. The disc will play from your selection.
3. While playing VCD disc, press TIME, the screen will show the track, PBC and time
of disc. Follow steps from No.2.
Eg: Enter 01:23:56 will start playback one hour, twenty-three minutes and fifty-six
seconds into the title.

SUBTITLE LANGUAGES
Compatible with DVD, SVCD discs.
This function enables you to select up to 32 subtitle languages to be displayed o n TV
screen (only applicable to DVD discs with this function). Repeatedly press the SUBT ITLE
key to select your desired language.
ZOOM
Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, JPEG discs.
This function enables you to enlarge the video image.
The maximum zoom is X4.Press the ZOOM key to select X2, X3, X4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4. In
zoom mode; you can press cursor keys to move the picture.
ANGLE
While watching a game, a concert or opera program, you can:
1.Press the ANGLE key on the remote control to select angle one, the dia gram angle
one and the logo will appear in the upper right corner of the TV screen.

2.Press the ANGLE key again to select a different angle, or you can choose
to watch the same action taken from different viewing angles.
Note: Subject to movies shot with this function.
REPEA T playing
Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD, WMA, Digital Audio disc /JPEG discs.
When playing SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD, WMA an d Digit al Audio / JEPG discs,
you can repeat three repeat options: Off, Track Repeat and Disc Repeat by
pressing the REPEAT key repeatedly.
When playing DVD, you can also repeat three repeat options: Off, Chapter
Repeat and Title Repeat by pressing the REPEAT key repeatedly.
PROGRAM playing
Compatible with DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, HDCD, WMA, Digital Audio disc /JPEG discs.
This function enables you to enter the order in which you want chapters or tracks to
play, maximum to 16.
1.According to the highlight, use the numeric keys to enter the chapters/tracks in the
order you want them to play. Then press PLAY or use cursor keys to highlight the "PLAY"
item and press ENTER. The chapters / tracks will play in the programmed order. You can
program maximum 16 titles / chapters / tracks.
2.According to the Direction Indicator on the menu, you can press cursor keys to
highlight where you want to enter.
3.Duning program playback, if PROGRAM key is repressed, the program order and
the contents will be displayed on the screen, and the program playback will be stopped;
also you can press stop and play to resume normal playback.
4.The program indicator in the screen, and the playing chapter / track illuminate.
Note: To clear the program order, use cursor keys to highlight the "CLEAR" item,
then press ENTER.
To modify the program order, use cursor keys to highlight the item you are
changing and enter the new chap ter / track you want to program directly.
To Use DVD Function Setup Menu
There are 4 function setup menus in DVD, they are SYSTEM SETUP, LANGUAGE
SETUP, AUDIO SETUP and DIGITAL SETUP.
Basic Operation Procedure
For example: Set English OSD
language in LANGUAGE SETUP menu.
1． Press <DVD-SETUP>, the screen
displays main setup menu, the picture
turns to PAUSE status automatically.
2． Press <>/<> stop the cursor on
LANGUAGE SETUP menu (the menu
will change with the moving of the cursor).
3． Press <>/<> move the cursor to OSD LANGUAGE item, press <ENTER> to
confirm or press <> to enter this item’s sub-menu.
4． Press <>/<> to move the cursor to ENGLISH item, press < ENTER > to confirm
and return to last menu.
5． Press <>/<>, move the cursor to EXIT SETUP item and press < ENTER >, or
press < DVD-SETUP > to exit the setup menu.
If you want to setup other menu, press <>/<> until the cursor disappears, then
press <>/<> to select other menu.
T o Use SYSTEM SETUP Menu
There are 6 menu items in SYSTEM
SETUP menu.

a) 4:3PS: When DVD broadcasts wide
screen picture, cut the right and left
edge of the picture, let the picture
occupy the whole screen.
b) 4:3LB:When DVD broadcasts wide screen picture, black frame appears on the top
and bottom of the screen.
c) 16:9:Select this item when the DVD is connected to wide screen TV.
PASSWORD
This item’s original setup is
“PASSWORD”, at this time you can’t select
“RATING” item, and you can’t modify the
password either. If you want to setup the
“RATING” item, you have to input the
original password by press the numeric key
on the remote control, the original password is :0000, then press <ENTER> to confirm.
If you want to modify the password, input the old password, then input the new
password (the effective password is a four-digit number).
RATING
When you play the disc that has locking
function, according to the rating of the disc
and your practical requirement, select proper
rating. The operation refers to the “Basic
Operation Procedure” of the setup menu.
The rating is divided into KID SAFE, G,
PG, PG13, PG-R, R, NC-17 and ADULT.
Note: Only when the password lock is open, you can select the rating, and only
when the password lock is locked, the rating limit is effective.
DEFAULT
The operation refers to the “Basic
Operation Procedure” of the setup menu.
This item is used to restore the factory
settings.

OSD LANGUAGE

Note: If you want to set AUDIO LA NG,
SUBTITLE LANG or MENU LANG in
the menu, you must be sure the
setted language in the menu will display only when you insert the disc again.
Generally the disc will remind you whether to set the above language at the
beginning of the broadcasting.
If the language you select is not recorded in DVD disc, the DVD w ill sel ect d efault
language the disc has recorded.
T o Use AUDIO SETUP Menu
There are 2 items in AUDIO SETUP
menu.
AUDIO OUT
Here, the AUDIO OUT is defined as

When the screen displays “AUDIO
SETUP” menu, press <>/<> to select
“TONE” item, press <ENTER> to confirm.

T o Use DIGITAL SETUP Menu
There are 2 items in DIGITAL SETUP
menu.
DYNAMIC RANGE
When the screen displays DIGITAL
SETUP menu, press <>/<> to select
DYNAMIC RANGE item, press <ENTER> to
confirm, press <>/<> to adjust, press
<ENTER> to confirm.
In this item, when you select “FULL”,
the PP value of audio signal is minimum, when you select OFF, the PP value is maximum.
DUAL MONO
The operation refers to the “Basic
Operation Procedure” of the setup menu.
This item can set the output method of
audio out (L, R) signal, it includes 4 modes:
STEREO, MONO L, MONO R and MIX
MONO,
Connection of external equipment
You should turn off the power when you connect all the connecting line (turn off the
power and pull out the adaptor).
This TV set can connect the AV equipment that has video, SCART or S-video, audio
output terminal. It can also connect the computer. Please refer to the user’s manual of the
external equipment when you connect. The user should buy the connecting cord by
yourself except the power cord.
AV equipment connecting procedure:
1. Ensure this TV ’s power and external equipment’s power are all turned off.
2. Con nect external equipment’s Video out, SCART out or S-Video out to this TV set’s
Video in, SCART in or S-Video in on the back cover by using signal line.
3. Connect external equipment’s Audio out to this TV set’s Audio in on the back cover by
using audio connecting line.
4. After the connection finish es, turn on this TV’s power, and then turn on the external
equipment’s power.
5. Press <INPUT> to select “AV”, “SCAR T” or “S-VIDEO”, set the TV on A V , SCART or S-VIDEO mode.
PC connecting procedure:
1. Ensure this TV’s power and the PC’s power are all turned off.
2. Connect PC’s VGA interface to this TV’ s VGA input terminal on the back cover by using
D15 VGA line, and then drive the screw.
3. Connect PC’s sound card to this TV’s VGA Audio input terminal on the back cover by
using audio connecting line.
4. After the connection finishes, turn on this TV’s power, and then turn on PC’s power.
5. Press < I NPUT> to select “PC”, set the TV on PC mode

Trouble-shooting
Check the following table before contact repairing place, many troubles are caused by
simple reason or by mis-adjustment, check it by yourself and the TV set will recover
normal.

SOLUTION

20. Disc is loaded incorrectly. / Disc is dirty. / Disc is bent or warped.
The following conditions are not failures:
1. While using, the TV set may has sound but no picture, it may be the memory circuit is
interfered by some external element, please turn off the main power, after one minute,
turn it on again and it may be recovery. If it is still abnormal, contact the local service
center.
2. The clicking is a creaking sound produced when the cabinet expands or contracts due
to changes of temperature. This will not affect the picture or sound.
3. If the remote control is slow witted, it may be caused by the interference of the
electronic energy-saving light and so on, please turn off the relative equipment.
4. Because there are great number of data need to be read into CPU buffer, so operate
the TV set after the picture has been normal for 3 seconds.
