1. Many of the panels needing to be removed for this
installation are held in place with the use of nylon rivets. Nylon rivets are reusable if care is taken during
their removal and installation. Using a small standard
blade screwdriver, gently pry up on the center post until
the entire rivet can be pulled freely from the panel. Rivet installation is the opposite.

Air Box and onto the Filter Adapter.
22. Install the 1/8” NPT Drain Plug (#25) into the
Airaid Air Box.
Note: This Plug is designed to be used as a water drain
from the lowest point of the intake in the event of water
ingestion. If at any point you suspect you may have
ingested water, or are uncertain, remove plug for inspection.
20. Rotate the filter inside the box until the clamp adjuster lines up in the center of the access port. Tighten
the clamp.

Radius edge begins here
30. Cut out the Air Scoop Template and carefully position it so that the top and right edges align with the
panels radius. Use tape to hold in position while marking holes with a punch.
Note:
This step is necessary for both install options using
the Air Scoop or Snorkel.
31. Drill four 1/8” pilot holes in the panel.
32. Cut the large hole in the panel using a drill with a
3” hole saw.
33. Drill 5/16” bolt holes in the panel. 34. Reinstall the factory panels and the bed in the re-
verse order in which they were removed.
35. Slide the Hump Hose (#8) and clamps onto the

36. Position the Riser tube in the inner fender , behind
the panel. Slide the Hump Hose and Clamps onto the
Air Box inlet . Tighten both Hose Clamps.
39. Determine the optimal position of the Snorkel Tube
(#30) for your particular cage configuration. Hold the
tube in place and fold the two 8” strips of tape over
onto the Snorkel flange.
37. Prepare the Snorkel Tube Gasket (#23) to be used
as a template.
A.) Lay two 8” str ips of tape, adhesive side u p, in a
“X” pattern on a bench.
B.) Place the Gasket in the center of the X t aking
care not to block any bolt holes.
C.) Atta ch two 1” str ips of tape, a dhesive side down,
on the Gasket in the 12 and 3 O'clock position.
40. Carefully remove the Snorkel Tube with Gasket
held in position by the tape.
38. Carefully align the Gasket holes with the drilled
holes in the panel and attach it using the two small
strips of tape.
41. Mark the hole to be drilled with a center punch.
42. Remove the Gasket and drill the bolt holes in the
Snorkel Flange. Start with 1/8” pilot holes and finish
with 5/16” holes.
45. Slide the second Snorkel Tube Gasket on to the
Threaded Studs.
43. Place the Gasket between the Riser Tube and the
Panel. Align the bolt holes.
Note: Tension between the Tube and panel should be
enough to hold Gasket in place. If not, reposition the
Riser Tube in Hump Hose.
46. Mount the Snorkel tube on to the Threaded Studs
and secure using one 1/4-20 x 1” Button Head Bolt
(#31), 1/4” Lock Washer (#15), and 1/4” Flat Washer
(#14). Do not fully tighten at this time.
44 Temporarily install two Threaded Studs (#11), finger tight, into the Riser Tube as shown.
47. Replace the Threaded Studs, one at a time, with the
remaining 1/4-20 x 1” Button Head Bolts and 1/4”
Washers from the previous step. Make all three Bolts
final tight.

48. The Snorkel Tube has a large mounting tab to ac-
commodate many cage options. Determine the best
location for attachment and drill a 5/16” hole. Use the
supplied Loop Clamp and the remaining 1/4-20 hardware (#31,14 & #17) to secure the Snorkel Tube.
DO NOT OPERATE VEHICLE WITHOUT SOME
FORM OF CAGE MOUNTING!
49. Double check your work!
Make sure there is no foreign material in the
intake path. Make sure all clamps, hoses,
bolts, and screws are tight. Reconnect the negative battery cable and reinstall the seats.
Air Inlet Scoop Option
1. Install the Threaded Studs into the Riser
tube.
C
Gasket
2. Mount the Air Inlet Scoop.
A.) Slide the Riser Tube with St uds and Gasket
through the panel.
B.) Slide the Air I nlet Scoop(#6) and Air Scoop Gasket (#24) onto Panel and Studs.
C.) Fast en the Scoop to the Riser Tube Studs using
the three 1/4-20 Flange Nuts (#18) and 1/4” Flat Washers.
3. Insert the Foam Pre Filter (#6) into the Air Scoop as
shown.
The Air Scoop can not be used in conjunction with the Snorkel.
Filter Service
Airaid recommends following the manufacturers maintenance schedule for filter cleanings.
“Air filters should be inspected before each ride. Filter and
pre-filter need to be replaced at least annually and more often
if subjected to severe use.”
The Airaid Filter is reusable and
should be cleaned using the Airaid Filter Tune
-Up Kit .
1. Loosen the Clamps on the Hump Hose and slide it
back. Remove the 1/4” bolts and washers from the Airbox Top and slide out the Top.
Pre Filter Option
For maximum protection in the harshest of environments Airaid offers a slip on Pre Filter.
- Prolongs Cleaning Intervals
- Water Repellant
- Free Flowing Protection
Part Number 799-456
2. Remove the Plug Grommet in the access port and
loosen the filter Clamp. A 1/4” drive ratchet with a 3”
extension and a 5/16” socket works best.
