#400-966 Modular Intake Tube (MIT)

Thank you for purchasing the Airaid Intake System. Please read the instruction manual carefully before
proceeding with the installation. Contact Airaid @ (800) 498-6951 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST weekdays for
questions regarding fit or instructions. Your Airaid Intake System was carefully inspected and packaged.
Check that no parts are missing, or were damaged during shipping. If any parts are missing, contact Airaid.
The air filter element is protected from direct exposure to water and debris; care should be taken not to drive
through deep water. WATER INGESTION IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILTY! The air filter is reusable
and should be cleaned using the Airaid Filter Tune-Up Kit periodically.

Tools Required for this Installation:
8mm Wrench
13mm Wrench
5/32” Allen Wrench

Installation Instructions. Read Me!
1. Disconnect negative battery
cable. Disconnect intake tube
from air filter housing by
unsnapping the tube assembly
from the housing.
2. Grasp large oval section of
intake tube and pull up and
away from inner fender well,
and remove entire intake tube.
(Note: Intake tube is held in
with rubber grommets, no
bolts.)
3. Remove 13mm nut on power
steering reservoir bracket.
Install Airaid Modular Intake
Tube support bracket, replace
nut, and leave slightly loose.
(Nut will be tightened after
final adjustments.)
4. Airaid Jr. Kit PN#400-741
If you purchased the Airaid Jr.
Kit PN#400-766, replace the
factory air filter with the
Airaid Premium filter
PN#850-349 included with the
kit.
5. Install the top of the Airaid
MIT into the stock airbox pushing
down and in. (It will snap into
place.)
6. When installing the Airaid
MIT, use caution that the wiring
harness on the left side of the
radiator does not interfere with the
MIT. (Some slight adjustment
might be necessary on some
vehicles.)
7. Install the 1/4”x 20 Allen bolt
and washer thru the bracket and
into the MIT . Make your final
adjustments and tighten the Allen
bolt, and the nut on the power
steering bracket. The MIT should
not make contact with the radiator
support or inner fender.
8. Spread the supplied hose
mount over the radiator overflow
hose and push into the hole in the
MIT.
9. Double check your work to be
certain that all nuts, bolts, and
clamps are securely fastened.
Reconnect the negative
battery cable.
