1. Disconnect negative battery
cable. Disconnect intake tube from air filter housing by unsnapping the tube assembly from the housing.
2. Grasp large oval section of
intake tube and pull up and away from inner fender well, and remove entire intake tube.
(Note: Intake tube is held in with rubber grommets, no bolts.)
3. Remove 13mm nut on power
steering reservoir bracket. Install Airaid Modular Intake Tube support bracket, replace nut, and leave slightly loose.
(Nut will be tightened after final adjustments.)
4. Airaid Jr. Kit PN#400-741
If you purchased the Airaid Jr. Kit PN#400-766, replace the factory air filter with the Airaid Premium filter PN#850-349 included with the kit.
5. Install the top of the Airaid MIT into the stock airbox pushing down and in. (It will snap into
place.)
6. When installing the Airaid MIT, use caution that the wiring harness on the left side of the radiator does not interfere with the MIT. (Some slight adjustment
might be necessary on some vehicles.)
7. Install the 1/4”x 20 Allen bolt and washer thru the bracket and into the MIT . Make your final adjustments and tighten the Allen bolt, and the nut on the power steering bracket. The MIT should not make contact with the radiator support or inner fender.
8. Spread the supplied hose mount over the radiator overflow hose and push into the hole in the MIT.
9. Double check your work to be certain that all nuts, bolts, and clamps are securely fastened. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
