# 400-588 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

98-00 Ford Ranger 2.5L

Thank you for purchasing the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer. Please read the
instruction manual carefully before proceeding with the installation. Contact AIRAID @
[phone] 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST Weekdays for questions regarding fit or in­structions that are not clear to you. Your PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer was carefully
inspected and packaged. Check that no parts are missing, or were damaged during
shipping. If any parts are missing, please contact AIRAID.

(1) Power Plate

(2) Gaskets
(4) 8mm x 50mm Bolts
(4) 8mm Lock Washers

(2) Linkage Plates

(2) 8mm x 16mm Flat Head Screws

(2) Spacers 5/16” thick with 5/16” hole

(2) 5/16-18” x 3/4” Bolts

(1) Rubber Hose 3/8” ID x 2 3/4” Long

Installation Instructions. Read Me!

1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY CABLE.

2. Remove air cleaner assembly.

3. Remove (2) 8mm bolts from the throttle linkage bracket. (Ref. D)

4. Remove (4) bolts from the throttle body. (Ref. C)

5. Install the power plate using both gaskets. (Ref. A)
A. Place one gasket between the throttle body and power plate.
B. Place second gasket between the power plate and intake manifold.

6. Install (4) 8mm x 50mm bolts and (4) 8mm lock washers. Refer to Step 4

7. Replace vent tube rubber hose using furnished 2 3/4” long rubber hose.

8. Install (2) linkage plates using (2) 8mm flat head screws. (Ref. D)

9. Install linkage bracket using (2) spacers and (2) 5/16-18” x 3/4” bolts. (Ref. D)

10. Inspect & Test throttle linkage for full Open & Closed travel before driving. Some cruise or kickdown cables
may require adjustment. Please refer to your vehicles service manual for proper adjustment.

11. Reinstall air cleaner assembly using Step 2 as an example.

12. Reconnect battery cable. Enjoy!
