# 400-587 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

99-01 Ranger XLT 3.0L V6

Thank you for purchasing the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer. Please read the
instruction manual carefully before proceeding with the installation. Contact AIRAID @
[phone] 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST Weekdays for questions regarding fit or in­structions that are not clear to you. Your PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer was carefully
inspected and packaged. Check that no parts are missing, or were damaged during
shipping. If any parts are missing, please contact AIRAID.

Installation Instructions. Read Me!

1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY CABLE.

2. Remove throttle linkage cover and save bolts.

3. Remove air intake assembly at throttle body.

4. Remove (4) bolts from the throttle body.

5. Remove the bolts from the throttle linkage bracket.

6. Install the power plate using (4) 8mm x 50mm bolts and (4) 8mm flat washers. (Ref. “A”)

A. Install one gasket between the power plate and manifold.
B. Install the second gasket between power plate and throttle body.
* Please Note: The engraved throttle body side faces the throttle body.

7. Locate and install throttle extension plate with (2) one inch long spacers and (2) 8mm x 50mm flat head screws. (Ref. “C” &
Illustration)

8. Install throttle linkage bracket using (2) 8mm x 10mm bolts and (2) 8mm lock washers. (Ref. “C” & Illustration)

9. Inspect & Test throttle linkage for full Open & Closed travel before driving. Some cruise or kick down cables may require
adjustment. Please refer to vehicles service manual for proper adjustment.

10. Reinstall throttle body air intake assembly using Step 3. Also, reinstall throttle linkage cover using saved bolts. (Step 2)

11. Reconnect battery cable. Enjoy!

The sound of power...The “whistle” means its working!
