Component Identification

5. 1/4x20x7/8” Bolts 4

6. 1/4x20x5/8” Bolts 2

I DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY CABLE.

II Remove air cleaner lid.

a) Loosen the intake tube clamp at the Mass Airflow Meter.
b) Disconnect wire harness at M.A.F.
b) Unclip air box lid and remove. Leave the base in place.

III Install Airaid
a) Unbolt the M.A.F. from the factory air box lid.
b) Bolt the M.A.F. to the Airaid filter adapter using the hardware and gasket supplied.
c) Locate Airaid in place of the original air box lid.
d) Insert M.A.F. into factory intake tube and tighten clamp.
e) Clamp or bolt Airaid to air box base. Either is utilized. See Fig. B
f) Clamp air filter on to adapter. Fig. A
g) Press weather strip on to Airaid. Fig. A

IV Finishing up.
a) Check over your work.
b) Check hood clearance before closing.

c) Make sure no foreign objects are in the intake path!

d) Enjoy!

filter element is protected from direct exposure to water and debris; care should be taken not to drive through deep water. WA­TER INGESTION IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY! The air filter is reusable and should be cleaned periodically.

suggest using the AIRAID Filter

Tune-Up Kit!

Synthamax Air Filters do not require oil.
Service air filter as needed by cleaning with
common non-petroleum all-purpose house­hold cleaner and water. Simple Green®,
Formula 409® or equivalent works great.
Apply cleaner to outside of air filter and al­low to soak. Then flush filter clean from the
inside out with a garden hose and repeat
steps if necessary. Do not apply high pres­sure water or air to clean filter. Allow filter
to air dry and reinstall.
