# 300-568 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

01-09 PT Cruiser 2.0, 2.4L Non-Turbo

Thank you for purchasing the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer. Please read the
instruction manual carefully bef ore proceeding with the installation. Cont ac t AIRAID @

inspected and packaged. Check that no parts are missing, or were damaged during

Included with your Poweraid Spacer is a sticker with a California Air Resources Board
(C.A.R.B.) Executive Order (EO) number. This sticker must be placed in plain view inside of
the engine compartment. Failure to do so may prevent you from passing a smog inspection.

Installation Instructions. Read Me!

1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY CABLE.

2. Remove throttle body intake cover and save bolts.

3. Remove air intake assembly.

4. Remove throttle cables & throttle linkage bracket from throttle body.

5. Remove 8mm bolt and washer from throttle body support bracket. (Ref. “B”)

6. Remove (3) 6mm bolts from throttle body.

7. Remount throttle body temporarily to outboard side of bracket using original 8mm bolt and washer. Install 8mm

bolt and washer from opposite side of support bracket to be tightened after thro ttle body and power plate have been
installed.

8. Locate and install power plate and throttle body using (3) 6mm x 55mm bolts and washers. (Ref. “A”)

9. Tighten 8mm support bracket bolt by using a 1/4” x 12” extension and 13mm socket.
* Note

10. Connect throttle bracket cables and reinstall throttle bracket. (Ref. to Step 4)

11. Inspect & Test throttle linkage for full Open & Closed travel before driv ing. Some cruise or kickdown cab les may

13. Reconnect negative battery cable. Enjoy!

– The 8mm support bracket bolt can accessed under the intake manifold to be tightened. (Ref. “B”)

require adjustment. Please refer to your vehicles service manual for proper adju stment.

*Note -Due to wide manufacturing tolerances, the computer may need to be shifted away from the
throttle body, toward the driver’s side of the vehicle. Loosening the three computer mounting
screws and biasing away from the throttle body may be enough. (Ref. “C”)
