Vandal Proof Sub With Standard and Emergency Call Button

DESCRIPTION:

The NE-NVP-2DC/B is a vandal proof sub station
designed for use with the NEM or NDR system.
It features a stainless steel mechanical call button
and a latching red emergency call button. The
speaker is protected from vandalism, and provides
communication with the master station. Each unit
can be flush mounted into a 3-gang metal or
masonry-type box, or surface mounted with the
SBX-NVP. Tamper proof screws and a tool for
installation are included.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Power Source: Supplied by master station
Speaker: 20 ohms, 3" diameter, water proof and puncture resistant, 2.5 oz. ceramic magnet
Call Button: Stainless steel mechanical call button: SPST, normally open.

Red button: Alternate action activates DPDT relay contacts.
Relay Contacts: 6A @ 125V AC or 6A @ 30V DC. Min. 25,000 operations
Faceplate: 11 gauge carbon steel with powder-coated white baked epoxy finish
Calling:

Communication: Hands free at sub. Master is push-to-talk or VOX with handset.
Wiring: Communication and standard call: 3 conductors homerun; or 2 common plus 1

Wiring Distance: 420' with 22AWG; 1000' with 18AWG (standard call and communication).
Mounting: Flush mount into a 3-gang box mounted vertically or surface mount with SBX-NVP
Dimensions: NE-NVP-2DC/B alone: 7-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 2". With SBX-NVP: 8-5/8" x 6-5/8" x 2-1/4"

Standard call button at sub latches call at NEM master until answered.

Red emergency button is "push-on, push-off", which activates or deactivates DPDT

contacts and red LED. "Push-on" activates relay and LED, "push-off" deactivates them.

Use Aiphone #822203 or #821803 for homerun wiring, #822206 for up to 6 stations.

DPDT contacts require a separate 4 conductor from each sub station.

NOTE:
DPDT contacts on red call button can be wired to any
device needing to be activated when the button is
pressed. The contacts are not wired to the NDR system,
and are alternate action. The standard call button on the
NE-NVP-2DC/B places a call to the NDR system.
