PREPERATION

AGED EXISTING COATINGS:
Clean the existing water based acrylic coating with a mild soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Lightly abrade the surface if necessary to remove any particles or dust in the existing coating, which can cause difficulty in the removal of the whiteboard marker. Any aged coatings that are loose or have kalsomine should be completely removed and repainted. Apply WriteWall Paint.
NEW SURFACES:
Prime the surface using a suitable water based acrylic primer and acrylic topcoat in the colour of your choice. It is recommended that acrylic undercoats and topcoats are applied with a 4-6mm nap roller cover to minimise roller stipple. The WriteWall coating will only be as smooth as the coating it is going over. Once the acrylic topcoat has been applied inspect the surface for any particles or inclusions that could affect the performance of the WriteWall coating. Any particles or inclusions should be lightly sanded out. Apply WriteWall Paint.
APPLICATION METHOD:
Pour the contents of Part B into the part A container and thoroughly mix the contents together using a stirring stick for a minimum of 3 minutes. Apply the coating using a 6 – 12mm microfibre roller or a white foam roller. Ensure the roller is free of fibres by taping the roller with masking tape and then removing the tape. Apply the coating evenly onto the surface taking care to maintain a wet edge. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes to 1 hour before applying the second coat. Allow good cross flow ventilation, this will aid the drying process. During this period wrap the roller and tray in a plastic or cling wrap to prevent the coating from drying on the roller or in the tray.
