1.3 PAPER SIZES BY FEED STATION
The tables on the next three pages describe how paper size detection operates,
depending on the geographical area, namely, North American, Europe/Asia, and
China.
Here are important notes and the key for reading these tables.
Trays ➀, ", ➅ are fixed trays and do not support automatic paper size detection.

paper length sensor.
Paper size can be detected after the operator selects the bypass tray as the
feed source, pushes ! on the operation panel, then select the paper size with
the Tray Paper Settings button.
NOTE: The side fences and end fence can be adjusted freely to accept any paper
size. However, only a limited number of standard paper sizes can be
detected automatically. For details, refer to Column 8 (➆) and the Bypass
Tray B512 manual (“Paper Size Detection”).
