Dear customer,

Before placing your new refrigerator/freezer into operation please read these operating instructions carefully. They contain important information for safe use, for installation and for care of the appliance.

Please keep these operating instructions for future reference. Pass them on to possible new owners of the appliance.

These operating instructions are for use with several technically comparable models with varying accessories. Please observe the notes which apply to your model.

Notes which are important for your safety or for the proper functioning of the appliance are stressed with a warning triangle and/or with signal words (Warning!, Caution!, Attention!). Please observe the following carefully.

Supplementary information regarding operation and practical applications of the appliance appear after this symbol.

Tips and notes concerning economical and environmentally sound use of the appliance are marked with the flower.

The operating instructions contain instructions for the correction of possible malfunctions by the user in the section "What to do if ...". If these instructions should not be sufficient, our customer service department is always available to you.

Safety

The safety aspects of our refrigerators/freezers comply with accepted technical standards and the German Appliance Safety Law. Nevertheless, we consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety information:

Intended use

• The refrigerator is intended for use in the home. It is suitable for the cooling, freezing and storing of frozen food, as well as for making ice. If the appliance is used for purposes other than those intended or used incorrectly, no liability can be accepted by the manufacturer for any damage that may be caused.

• Alterations or changes to the freezer are not permitted for reasons of safety.

• If you use the refrigerator in a commercial application or forpurposes other than the cooling, freezing or frozen storage of foods,please observe all valid legal regulations for your application.

Prior to initial start–up

• Check the refrigerator for transport damage. Under no circumstance

should a damaged appliance be plugged in! In the event of damage, please contact the vendor.

Refrigerant

The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.

• During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

• If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of ignition; – thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated.

Safety of children

• Packaging (e.g. wraps, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. There is a risk of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children!

• Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcatches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot lock themselves in the

Disposizioni, Norme, Direttive.

L’apparecchiatura é stato concepito per l’impiego domestico ed é stato prodotto sotto l’osservanza delle norme vigenti per questi tipi di apparecchiature. Nella produzione sono stati inoltre presi i particolari provvedimenti necessari in conformità alla legge sulla sicurezza degli apparecchi (GSG), le prescrizione sulla prevenzione degli infortuni per impiianti refrigeranti (VBG

20) e le disposizioni della cooperativa tedesca elettricisti (VDE).Il circuito refrigerante é stata verificata sull’ermeticità.

• Often children cannot recognise the hazards present in household appliances. It is therefore important that you ensure adequate supervision and never let children play with the appliance!

Daily Operation

• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures. There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flammable materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer compartment. They can burst when the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer compartment. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be stored in the freezer compartment.

• Do not put ice creams or ice cubes in the mouth immediately after removal from the freezer compartment. Very cold ice can freeze to the lips or tongue and cause injury.

• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could freeze to the food.

• Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.).

• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and unplug it, or pull the house fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.

• When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull on the cable.

In case of malfunction

• If the a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the "What to do if ..." section of these instructions. If the information given there does not help, please do not perform any further repairs yourself.

• Refrigerators/freezers may only be repaired by qualified service engineers. Improper repairs can give rise to significant hazards. If your appliance needs repairing, please contact your specialist dealer or our Customer Service.

Sostituzione della lampadina

Avvertimento! Pericolo di scosse elettriche! Prima di effettuare la sostituzione della lampadina, é necessario disinserire l’apparecchio ed estrarre la spina oppure disinserire rispett. svitare il fusibile..

Dati della lampadina: 220-240 V, max. 15 W, presa: E 14

1. Spegnere l’apparecchio mettendo la manopola sul ”0”.

2. Estrarre la spina dalla presa.

3. Svitare la vite di fissaggio della plafoniera.

4. sfilare la parte mobile come indicato in figura.

5. Sostituire la lampadina difettosa.

6. Inserire la plafoniera e fissarla con la vite.

7. Accendere l’apparecchio.

Disposal

Appliance Packaging Information

All materials are environmentally sound! They can be dumped or burned at an incinerating plant without danger!

About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and are identified as follows:

>PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and the bags in the interior. >PS< for polystyrene foam, e.g. the pads, which are all free of chlorofluo-

rocarbon. The carton parts are made from recycled paper and should be disposed of

at a waste-paper recycling collection location.

Disposal of old Appliances

For environmental reasons, refrigeration appliances must be disposed of properly. This applies to your old appliance, and - at the end of its service life - for your new appliance as well.

Warning! Before disposing of old appliances make them inoperable. Remove plug from mains, sever the power cable, remove or destroy any snap or latch closures. This eliminates the danger that playing children lock themselves into the appliance (danger of suffocation!) or place themselves into other life-endangering situations.

Disposal:

• The appliance may not be disposed of with domestic waste or bulky refuse.

• The refrigerant circuit, especially the heat exchanger at the back of the appliance, may not be damaged.

• Information concerning collection schedules or locations can be obtained from the local disposal authorities or town hall.

Remove transport safeguard

The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport.

• Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance.

Installation

Installation Location

The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use is affected by the ambient temperature. The appliance should

therefore – not be exposed to direct sunlight; – not be installed next to radiators, cookers or other sources of heat; – only be installed at a location whose ambient temperature corresponds

to the climate classification, for which the appliance is designed.

The climate classification can be found on the serial plate, which is located at the left on the inside of the appliance.

The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each climate classification: each climate classification:

If installation next to a source of heat is unavoidable, the following minimum clearances must be maintained at the sides of the appliance:

– for electric cookers 3 cm; – for oil and coal fired ranges 30 cm. If these clearances cannot be maintained a heat insulating pad is required

between the cooker and the refrigeration appliance. If the refrigeration appliance is installed next to another refrigerator or free-

zer a clearance of 5 cm at the sides is required, in order to prevent the formation of condensation on the outside of the appliance.

6. Controllare il foro di scarico dell’acqua di sbrinamento, posto nella parte posteriore della cella refrigerante. Il foro intasato può essere liberato utilizzando il pulitore verde.

7. Una volta che il tutto si é asciugato bene si può rimettere in servizio l’apparecchio.

Consigli per il risparmio energetico

• Non installare l’apparecchio vicino a forni, elementi riscaldanti o altre fon-

ti di calor. Con temperature ambientali elevate il compressore entra in funzione più spesso e più a lungo.

• Garantire una sufficiente aereazione in entrata e uscita. Non coprire mai

le aperture d’aereazione.

• Non collocare dei cibi caldi nell’apparecchio, lasciarli prima raffreddare.

• Aprire la prota solamente per quanto sia necessario.

• Non regolare una temperatura più fredda di quanto sia necessario..

• Mettere i cibi da scongelare nel comparto refrigerante. Il freddo derivan-

te dal scongelamento aiuta il raffreddamento del comparto refrigerante.

• Mantenere costantemente pulito il condensatore posto sul lato posterio-

re dell’apparecchio.

Che cosa fare, se ...

Rimedio in caso di disturbi

Probabilmente si tratta di un guasto di lieve entità che potrete eliminare da soli seguendo le seguenti istruzioni. Non effettuare nessun’altra operazione qualore le informazioni qui riportate non fossero di alcun aiuto per il caso concreto.

Avvertenza! Le riparazioni del frigorifero devono essere eseguite unicamente da personale specializzato. Riparazioni improprie possono essere fonte di gravi pericoli per l’utente. Rehingeing the door

The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (factory adjustment) to the left side, if the installation site requires.

Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, the appliance may not be connected to the mains. Remove plug from the mains beforehand.

Procced as follow:

1. Remove the clip-in ventilation grille (D).

2. Remove the bottom hinge (E) by unscrewing the two fixing screws.

3. Slide the bottom door off the centre hinge (B).

4. Remove the centre hinge and slide the top door off pin (5); unscrew pin (5) and refit it on the opposite side.

Rear spacers

In the bag with the documentation, there are two spacers which must be fitted.

slacken the screws and insert the spacer under the screw head, then re-tighten the screws.

Pulizia e cura

Per motivi d’igiene si dovrebbe.sempre pulire accuratamente e regolarmente l’interno dell’apparecchio, compresi gli accessori.

Avvertimento!

• Durante la pulizia, l’apparecchio non deve essere collegato alla rete elettrica. Pericolo di scosse di corrente! Prima di eseguire i lavori di pulizia, é necessario disinserire l’apparecchio, estrarre la spina oppure disinserire rispett. svitare il fusibile.

• Non pulire mai l’apparecchio con delle idropulitrici a vapore. L’umidità potrebbe penetrare negli elementi di costruzione elettrici, pericolo di scosse di corrente! Il vapore bollente può causare dei dannii ai pezzi in materiale sintetico.

• L’apparecchio deve essere asciutto, ancor prima della nuova messa in servizio.

Attenzione!

• Oli essenziali e sostanze solventi organiche possono intaccare gli elementi in materiale sintetico, p.es.

– succhi di limone oppure bucce di arancia;; – burro acido; – sostanze detergenti contenenti acido di aceto. Evitare il contatto degli elementi dell’apparecchio con simili sostanze.

• Non impiegare mai sostanze detergenti graffianti.

1. Togliere i cibi. Avvolgere con più fogli di giornali i surgelati. Riporre il tutto in un luogo fresco.

2. Prima della pulizia sbrinare la cella congelante (vedi paragrafo “Sbrinamento”).

3. Spegnere l’apparecchio ed estrarre la spina oppure disinsrire rispett. svitare il fusibile.

4. Pulire l’apparecchio e gli accessori interni con un panno morbido imbevuto di acqua calda. Aggiungere eventualmente del comune detergente per il lavaggio dei piatti.

5. Risciaquare e asciugare strofinando. I depositi di polvere sul condensatore situato sul lato posteriore dell’appa-

recchio, riducono notevolmente la potenza di raffreddamento ed aumentano quindi il consumo energetico. Pertanto é necessario pulirlo accuratamente una volta l’anno con una spazzola oppure un aspirapolvere.

5. Remove the two plugs, to reveal the holes for the hinge pivots, and remount them on the other side.

6. Refit the top door and the centre hinge (H) on the opposite side.

7. Refit the bottom door.

8. Refit bottom hinge (E) on the opposite side, using the two screws previously removed.

9. Remove blanking cover (F) from ventilation grille (D) by pushing it in the direction of the arrow and refit it on the opposite side.

10. Refit ventilation grille (D), clipping it into place.

11. Unscrew the handle. Refit it on opposite side after having pierced the plugs with a punch. Cover the holes left open with the plugs contained in the documentation pack.

Attention: After having reversed the opening

direction of the doors check that all the screws are properly tightened and that the magnetic seal adheres to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i.e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. in that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by heating up the part involved with a normal hairdrier.

2. Spegnere l’apparecchiatura e staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente oppure disinserire o svitare le valvole di sicurezza.

3. Lasciare aperta la porta dello scomparto congelatore.

4. Inserire nell’apposita sede sotto il convogliatore dell’acqua di sbrinamento la paletta raschiabrina e porre al disotto una bacinella di raccolta.

5. Riportare la manopola del termostato nella posizione desiderata e reinserire la spina nella presa.

Avvertenza:

Non impiegare mai utensili metallici per asportare la brina. Si raccomanda di non utilizzare riscaldatori elettrici o altri mezzi meccanici

o artificiali per accelerare il processo di sbrinamento, tranne quelli raccomndati in questo libretto.

Un innalzamento della temperatura dei surgelati durante lo sbrinamento potrebbe ridurne il tempo di conservazione.

Spegnimento dell’apparecchio

Dovesse l’apparecchio essere spento per un lungo periodo:

1. Svuotare lo scomparto refrigerante e congelante cosi come le bacinelle ghiaccio.

2. Spegnere l’apparecchio mettendo la manopola termostato sul ”0”.

3. Togliere la spina dalla presa di corrente oppure disinserire la valvola di sicurezza.

4. Sbrinare lo scomparto congelantee pulire (vedi paragrafo “Pulizia e cura”).

5. Lasciare aperte le porte per evitare la formazione di odori sgradevoli.

Electrical connection

Before initial start-up, refer to the appliance rating plate to ascertain if supply voltage and current values correspond with those of the mains at the installation location.

e.g.: AC 220 ... 240 V 50 Hz or

220 ... 240 V~ 50 Hz (i.e. 220 to 240 volts alternating current, 50 Hertz) The rating plate is inside the appliance on the left. A correctly installed, earthed socket is required for the electrical supply. The

supply must have a fuse rating of at least 10 Amps. If the socket is not accessible once the appliance is built in, the electrical

installation must include suitable means of isolating the appliance from the mains (e.g. fuse, cut-out, current trip or similar with a minimum contact separation of 3 mm).

Attention: The mains connection cable may only be replaced by a skilled electrician. Please contact your dealer or our customer service department for repairs.

Prior to Initial Start–Up

• Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial start-

up (see section: “Cleaning and Care”).

Starting up and temperature regulation

• Insert the plug of the connection lead into the plug socket with protecti-

ve earth contact. When the refrigerator compartment door is opened, the internal lighting is switched on. The temperature selector knob is located on the RH side of the refrigerator compartment.

Setting „0“ means: Off. Setting „1“ means: Hightest temperature, (warmest setting). Setting „6“ (end-stop) means: Lowest temperature, (coldest setting).

However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in the mind that the temperature inside the refrigerator depends on:

-the quantity of food stored

-how often the door is opened

Sbrinamento

Frigorifero

Sulla parete posteriore dello scomparto refrigerante, si forma uno strato di brina durante il funzionamento del compressore, che viene eliminato automaticamente durante le pause di funzionamento dello stesso.

L’acqua derivante dallo sbrinamento, tramite un apposito convogliatore posto nella parte posteriore dello scomparto refrigerante, attraverso un foro di scarico, viene raccolta in una bacinella posta sopra il compressore, da dove evapora.

Congelatore

Nello scomparto congelatore si forma uno strato di brina, a causa dell’umidità che si sviluppa durante il funzionamento e all’apertura della porta.

Questo deve essere eliminato periodicamente, utilizzando una paletta raschiabrina.

Uno strato molto spesso di brina nello scomparto congelatore comporta un consumo maggiore di energia. Perciò é necessario eseguire lo sbrinamento completo ogniqualvolta si é formato uno strato di 4 mm circa o almeno una volta l’anno. Inoltre é sempre consigliabile effettuare lo sbrinamento quando l’apparecchio é vuoto o quando il carico é minimo.

Per effettuare un sbrinamento completo procedere come segue:

1. Togliere i cibi congelati, avvolgerli in parecchi fogli di giornali e riporli in un luogo fresco.

Cubetti di ghiaccio

1. Riempire a 3/4 la bacinella ghiaccio con acqua fredda e riporla sul ripiano.

2. Per togliere i cubetti pronti é sufficiente torcere la bacinella o metterla brevemente sooto l’acqua corrente.

Attenzione! Si raccomanda di non usare utensili appuntiti o a spigoli per staccare la bacinella eventualmente rimasta attaccata.

The temperatures in the refrigerator compartment and freezer co partment cannot be independently regulated.

If you want the freeze fresh food rapidly, select setting „6“, ensuring that the temperature in the refrigerator compartment does not drop blow 0°C. You should also promptly reset the temperature regulator to setting „3“ or „4“.

Important!

High ambient temperatures (e.g. on hot summer days) and a cold setting on the temperature regulator (position"5" to "6") can cause the compressor to run continuously.

If this happens, turn the temperature regulator back to a warmer setting (position "3" to "4"). At this setting the compressor will be switched on and off as usual and automatic defrosting recommenced.

Storage Shelves

The glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable compartment should always remain in position, to ensure fruit and vegetables stay fresh longer.

The remaining storage shelves can be adjusted to various heights:

Pull the storage shelf forward until it can be tipped up or down and removed.

To insert at a different height use the same procedure in reverse. Adjustment for tall goods: Remove the front half of the two-part vario glass storage shelf and insert it

at a different level. Space is thus gained for storage of tall goods on the underlying storage shelf.

Variable Inner Door

The door compartments can be pulled up and removed, and inserted at other positions as needed.

Calendario di congelamento

• I simboli indicano diversi tipi di prodotti da congelare.

• Le cifre indicano il periodo di immagazzinaggio in mesi per ciascun tipo di prodotto da congelare. Se é valido il valore superiore oppure quello inferiore del periodo di immagazzinaggio indicato, dipende dalla qualità dei prodotti alimentari e dal pretrattamento prima del congelamento.

• I cibi una volta scongelati non possono venir ricongelati previa cottura.

• I contentitori di gas infiammabili oppure liquidi mediante l’effetto del freddo possono perdere la propria ermeticità. Pericolo di espolsione! Non immagazzinare mai dei contenitori con sostanze infiammabili, come p.es. bombole spray, accendini e cartucce di rifornimento, ecc. nell’apparecchio refrigerante.

• Le bottiglie e le lattine non devono essere collocatenella cella di congelamento. Queste possono scoppiare non appena si congela il contenuto, mentre i liquidi contenenti anidride carbonica possono addirittura esplodere! Non collocare mai della limonata, succhi, birra,vino, spumante, ecc. Ad eccezione: I superalcoolici possono essere immagazzinati nella cella di congelamento.

• Avvolgere ermeticamente gli alimenti prima della congelazione in modo da evitare che si asciughino, perdano gli aromi o che i sapori si trasmettano agli altri cibi congelati.

Attenzione! Mai toccare i cibi congelati con le mani bagnate. La pelle potrebbe rimanere attaccata.

1. Se si vuole una congelazione rapida dei cibi posizionare la manopola termostato sulla posizione più fredda.

2. Porre i cibi avvolti da congelare sul ripiano.

3. Non aprire troppo frequentemente la porta dello scomparto e non lasciarla aperta più del necessario.

Freezing and storing frozen food

You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself.

Important!

• The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before freezing food.

• Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The freezing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food several days in a row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on the rating plate. The quality of the food is best preserved when it is frozen right through to the core as quickly as possible.

Fresh food refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

• do not store warm food or evaporating liquide in the refrigeator

• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour.

• Position food so that air can circuiate freely round it.

Useful hints: Meat (all types): wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above

the vegetable drawer(s)For safety, store in this way only one or two days

at the most. Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc: these should be covered and may be placed

on any shelf. Fruit and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in

the special drawer(s) provided. Butter and cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or

wapped in aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as possible.

Milk bootles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle rack on the door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator.

Refrigerazione dei cibi e delle bevande

Per utilizzare nel modo migliore lo scomparto refrigerante è necessario:

• non introdurre nella cella vivande calde o liquidi in evaporazione;

• coprire o avvolgere gli alimenti, specie se contengono aromi;

• disporre gli alimenti in modo che l’aria possa circolare liberamente attorno ad essi.

Alcuni consigli pratici: Carne (di tutti i tipi): va avvolta in sacchetti di plastica e posta sul vetro

sopra il cassetto verdura.

In questa posizione si potrà conservare per uno o due giorni al massimo. Cibi cotti piatti freddi, ecc. devono essere ben coperti e possono essere

disposti su qualsiasi griglia. Frutta e verdura: saranno messe, previa pulitura, nel/ nei cassetto/i previ-

sto/i a tale scopo. Burro e formaggio devono essere conservati negli appositi contenitori o

avvolti in fogli di plastica o alluminio per evitare il contatto con l’aria.

Latte in bottiglia: ben chiuse poste nel portabottiglie. Banane, patate, cipolla ed aglio, se non sono confezionati, non vanno

messi in frigorifero.

Congelazione e surgelazione

Il vostro congelatore é adatto sia per la conservazione i surgelati che per la congelazione di cibi freschi.

Attenzione

• La temperatura nello scomparto congelatore dev’essere di -18°C o infriore prima di introdurre i cibi per la congelazione.

• Attenersi per la congelazione ai quantitativi indicati sulla targa matricola.Il quantitativo per la congelazione é la quantità massima di cibi freschi che possono essere congelati in 24 ore. Volendo effettuare la congelazione di cibi freschi per più giorni consecutivi, ridurre il quantitativo riportato sulla targa a 2/3 o 3/4.

• Lasciare raffreddare eventuali cibi caldi prima di congelarli. Il calore porta a una forte formazione di brina ed un elevato consumo energetico.

• Rispettare le date di scadenza indicato sulle confezioni dal produttore dei surgelati.

• Allow warm food to cool down before freezing. The warmth will cause increased ice formation and increase the power consumption.

• Please note the maximum storage times specified by the manufacturer.

• Thawed foods which have not been processed further (cooked into meals) may not under any circumstances be frozen a second time.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer. They can burst when the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be stored in the freezer.

• All foods must be packed air tight prior to freezing, so that they do not dry out or lose their flavour, and so that no flavour contamination of other frozen goods occurs.

Caution! Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could freeze to the food.

1. Place the packed food in the freezer compartment. Unfrozen food must not touch items already frozen, otherwise the frozen food could begin to defrost.

2. Not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

Preparation of Ice Cubes

1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water, place it in the freezer compartment and leave to freeze.

2. To loosen the frozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under running water for a few seconds.

Important! Never try to free an ice tray that is frozen to the freezer compartment using pointed or sharp edged objects.

Accessori interni

Posizionamento dei ripiani

• In ripiano intero sopra i cassetti verdura/frutta deve rimanere sempre in questa posizione per mantenere più fresco nel tempo la verdura e frutta.

I rimanenti ripiani sono regolabili in altezza:

• Per far ciò tirare il ripiano in avanti finchè questo non si lascia tirare verso il basso o l’alto.

• L’inserimento in un’altra altezza avviene in senso contrario.

• Estrarre il semi-ripiano e spingerlo in un altro livello . In tal modo si guadagna dello spazio per poter collocare sulla superficie sottostante del prodotto da refrigerare piuttosto alto

Posizionamento delle mensole

• A secondo delle esigenze, gli scompartimenti di ripiano sulla porta possono essere estratti verso l’alto ed essere quindi inseriti in altri sostegni.

Le temperature del frigorifero e del congelatore non vengono regolati separatamente.

Se si vuole congelare velocemente gli alimenti si può selezionare la posizion “6”. Attenzione: la temperatura nel compartimento refrigerante può scendere a 0°C in questo caso. Rimettere la manopola sulla posizione intermedia se ciò si verificasse.

Importante!

Con temperatura ambiente elevata (ad es. calde giornate estive) o con manopola posizionata sulle posizioni di massimo freddo , il compressore può funzionare in continuo.

In tal caso é necessario ruotare la manopola su una posizione di minor freddo (posizione”3” o”4”). In questo modo si regooa il funzionamento del compressore e lo sbrinamento nello scompartimento refrigerante avviene di nuovo automaticamente.

Freezing Calendar

• The symbols show different types of frozen goods.

• The numbers indicate storage times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods. Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated storage time is valid depends on the quality of the foods and pre-treating before freezing. The lower value applies to foods with high fat content.

Defrosting

Refrigerator

Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor compressor, where it evaporates.

We particulary recommend that you peridically clean the defrost-water drainage outlet, located in the center of the drainage groove in the refrigerator compartment, to prevent the defrost water form overflowing on to foods stored in the compartment. Use a special cleaner provided, which you will find already inserted into the discharge hole.

Freezer

The freezer compartment, however, will become progrssively covered with frost. This should be removed with al plastic scraper, whenever the tickness of the frost exceeds 4 mm. During this operation it is not necessary to switch off the power supply or to remove the foodstuffs.

However when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out as follows:

1. pull out the plug from the wall socket or turn the thermostat knob to th “0” setting.

2. remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers newspaper and put it in a coll place.

Messa in servizio e regolazione della temperatura

• Inserire la spina nella presa di corrente. Con porta aperta si accende la lampada interna. La manopola per la regolazione della temperatura si trova a destra bnel compartimento refrigerante.

Posizione „0“ significa: stop. Posizione „1“ significa: Massima temperatura interna (minor freddo). Posizione „6“ significa: Minima temperatura interna (massimo freddo).

La temperatura interna dipende dai seguenti fattori: – Temperatura d’ambiente; – Quantità e temperatura dei alimenti conservati; – frequenza e durata di apertura delle porte.

Collegamento elettrico

Per effettuare il collegamento eletrrico é necessario impiegare la spina con contatto di protezionz installata conformemente alle prescrizioni vigenti. Il fusibile elettrico deve corrispondere ad almeno 10 Ampère. Nel caso non sia possibile accedere alla presa dopo l’installazione, é necessario prender un idoneo provvedimento per garantire nell’installazione elettrica la separazione dalla rete dell’apparecchio (p.es. fusibile, interruttore LS, interruttore di protezione contro correnti errate oppure simili con una ampiezza di apertura del contatto di almeno 3mm.

• Prima della messa in servizio, verificare se la tensione di collegamento ed il tipo di corrente riportati sulla targa matricola corrispondono ai valori della rete elettrica del luogo di installazione..

p.es..: AC 220 ... 240 V 50 Hz oppure

220 ... 240 V~ 50 Hz (pertanto 220 fino240 Volt corrente alternata, 50 Hertz) La targa matricola si trova a sinistra nell’interno della cella refrigerante.

Prima della messa in servizio

• Pulire l’interno dell’apparecchio e tutti gli accessori prima di effettuare la

messa in servizio (vedi capitolo “Pulizia e cura”).

4. when defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly

5. turn the thermostat knob to the required setting or raplace the plug in the power socket.

Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the evaporator as you could damage it.

Do not use a maechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting , may shorten their safe storage life.

Switching off the appliance

To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature regulator to position "0".

If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period:

1. Remove all refrigerated and deep-frozen packages as well as ice trays.

2. Switch off the appliance by turning the temperature regulator to position "0".

3. Remove the mains plug or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.

4. Defrost freezer compartment and clean thoroughly (see section: “Cleaning and Care”).

5. Leave the door open to avoid the build up of odours.

Cleaning and Care

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly.

• The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Dan-

• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours can lead to the damage of plastic parts.

• The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service.

Attention!

• Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g.

– lemon juice or the juice from orange peals; – butyric acid; – cleansers which contain acetic acid. Do not allow such substances to come into contact with appliance parts.

• Do not use any abrasive cleansers.

1. Remove frozen food and the food from the refrigerator. Wrap frozen food in several layers of newspaper. Store it in a cool place, well covered.

2. Defrost the freezer compartment prior to cleaning (see "Defrosting" section).

3. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.

4. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water. Commercially available dish washing detergents may also be used.

5. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry. Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases energy consumption. For

this reason carefully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.

6. Check the water drain hole on the rear wall of the fridge. Clear a blocked drain hole with the aid of the green peg included with the appliance.

7. After everything is dry place appliance back into service.

Energy Saving Tips

• Do not install the appliance near cookers, radiators or other sources of

warmth. High ambient temperatures cause longer, more frequent operation of the compressor.

• Ensure sufficient air circulation and exhaust at the appliance base and at

the back wall of the appliance. Never cover air vent openings.

• Do not place warm foods into the appliance. Allow warm foods to cool

first.

• Only leave door open as long as necessary.

Reversibilità della porta

La reversibilità della porta può essere cambiato da destra (condizioni di consegna) verso sinistra, nel caso il luogo di installazione ne richiedesse la necessità.

Avvertimento! Durante la reversibilità, l’aparecchio non deve essere collegato alla rete elettrica. Estrarre innanzitutto la spina dalla rete

Procedere come segue

1. Estrarre la griglia di areazione (D) inserita a scatto.

2. Sfilare il copriforo (F) e rimontarlo sulla parte opposta.

3. Svitare la cerniera inferiore.

4. Togliere la porta inferiore.

Areazione dell’apparecchio

Per motivi di sicurezza la ventilazione deve essere come indicato in figura.

Attenzione! mantenere le aperture per la ventilazione libere da ogni ostruzione.

Distanziali posteriori

Montare i due distanziali posteriori contenuti nel sacchetto della documentazione per garantire la regolare dispersione del calore che si forma durante il funzionamento. Procedere come da figura.

What to do if ...

Correcting Malfunctions

A malfunction may be caused by only a minor fault that you can rectify yourself using the following instructions. Do not perform any other work on the appliance if the following information does not provide assistance in your specific case.

Warning! Repairs to refrigerators/freezers may only be performed by qualified service engineers. Improper repairs can give rise to significant hazards for the user. If your appliance needs repairing, please contact your specialist dealer or our Customer Service.

Installazione

Luogo d’installazione

L’apparecchio deve essere collocato in un luogo ben aerato ed asciutto. La temperatura ambientale ha un notevole effetto sul consumo di corrente.

Pertano l’apparecchio dovrebbe – non essere esposto direttamente ai raggi solari; – non essere messo accanto ad elementi di calore oppure ad un forno o altre

simili fonti di calore;

– essere messo in un luogo la cui temperatura ambientale corrisponda alla

classe climatica per la quale é stato concepito.

La classe climatica é riportata sulla targhetta matricola situata a sinistra nell’interno della cella refrigerante..

La seguente tabella mostra quali temperature ambiente sono state assegnate alle classi climatiche:

Nel caso sia inevitabile effettuare l’installazione accanto ad un fonte di calore, é necessario mantenere le seguenti distanze minime:

– dai forni elettrici 3 cm; – dai forni a nafta e carbone 30 cm. Nel caso non possano essere mantenute queste distanze, é necessario inse-

rire una piastra di protezione contro il calore tra il forno e l’apparecchio refrigerante.

Se l’apparecchio refrigerante è posto accanto ad un altro apparecchio refrigerante oppure congelante é necessario mantenere una distanza laterale di 5 cm, allo scopo di evitare che si possa formare della condensa sui lati esterni degli apparecchi.

Changing the light bulb

Warning! There is a risk of electric shocks! Before changing the light bulb, switch off the appliance and unplug it, or pull the fuse or the circuit breaker. Light bulb data: 220-240 V, max. 15 W

1. To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature regulator to position "0".

2. Unplug the mains plug.

3. To change the light bulb, undo the screw.

4. Press the light bulb cover as shown and slide it backwards.

5. Change the defective light bulb.

6. Refit the light bulb cover and the screw.

7. Put the refrigerator back into operation.

Light bulb is defective. Please look in the "Changing

Door seal is not air tight (possibly after changing over the hinges).

Tutti i materiali di produzione impiegati sono tollerabili perl’ambiente! Questi possono essere depositati senza pericoli oppure smaltiti nell’impianto bruciatore di rifiuti urbani!

Riguardo i materiali di produzione: I materiali sintetici possono essere anche riciclati e sono contrassegnati nella seguente maniera:

>PE< per politilene, p. es. nell’involucro esterno e nei sacchetti all’interno. >PS< per polistirolo schiumoso, p.es. nei pezzi di imbottitura, in linea di

massima privi di propellenti. I pezzi di cartone vengono realizzati con carta riciclata e devono essere

rimessi nella raccolta della carta vecchia.

Smaltimento di apparecchi vecchi

Per motivi di protezione dell’ambiente é necessario smaltire conformemente gli apparecchi vecchi.Ciò vale per il Vostro apparecchio finora usato e dopo che ha terminato di svolgere il suo servizio ed anche per il Vostro apparecchio nuovo.

Attenzione! Gli apparecchi vecchi che non servono più, devono essere resi inutilizzabili prima dello smaltimento. Estrarre la spina di rete, spezzare il cavo di rete, rimuovere oppure distruggere le eventuali chiusure lampo di bloccaggio. Mediante ciò si evita che si possano chiudere dentro dei bambini che giocano (pericolo di soffocamento!) oppure che possano trovarsi in altre situazioni pericolose per la vita.

Avvertenze sullo smaltimento :

• L’apparecchio non deve essere smaltito insieme ai rifiuti urbani o ingombranti.

• Il circuito refrigerante, in particolare lo scambiatore di calore situato nella parte inferiore dell’apparecchio, non deve essere danneggiato.

• Le informazioni concernenti i termini del ritiro oppure dei luoghi di raccolta sono accessibili presso l’amministrazione comunale locale.

• Molto spesso i bambini non possono rendersi conto dei pericoli a cui sono esposti durante il maneggio con gli apparecchi domestici. Pertanto è necessario prendere degli idonei provvedimenti di salvaguardia eviatando inoltre di lasciar giocare i bambini con tali apparecchi!!

Nel servizio quotidiano

• Non ingoiare i gelati oppure i cubetti di ghiaccio appena estratti dalla cella di congelamento. Il gelato oppure ghiaccio molto freddo si può congelare alla lingua o alle labbra e causare quindi delle ferite.

• Non toccare i prodotti congelati con le mani bagnate. Le mani si potrebbero congelare sul prodotto.

• Non impiegare mai dei piccoli elettrodomestici (p.es. macchine elettriche da gelato, mescolatori, ecc.) nell’apparecchio refrigerante.

• Prima di eseguire i lavori di pulizia, é necessario disinserire l’apparecchio, estrarre la spina oppure disinserire rispett. svitare il fusibile dell’abitazione.

• Estrarre la spina di rete dalla presa tirando sempre dalla parte della spina, mai dal cavo.

Nel caso di un disturbo

• Se nell’apparecchio dovesse verificarsi per qualche volta un disturbo, si prega di leggere in queste istruzioni per l’uso sotto “ Che cosa fare, se...”. Nel caso non siano sufficienti le avvertenze riportate, si prega di non eseguire ulteriori lavori atunomi di riparazione

Lees eerst aandachtig de gebruiksaanwijzing door voordat u uw nieuwe koelapparaat in gebruik neemt. Hierin staat belangrijke informatie over een veilig gebruik, over het opstellen en over het onderhoud van het apparaat.

De gebruiksaanwijzing s.v.p. bewaren voor latere naslag. Aan eventuele volgende bezitters van het apparaat doorgeven.

Deze gebruiksaanwijzing is voor meerdere, technisch vergelijkbare modellen in diverse uitvoeringen bestemd. S.v.p. alleen op de aanwijzingen letten die op Uw apparaat betrekking hebben.

Met de waarschuwingsdriehoek en/of door signaalwoorden (Waar- schuwing!, Voorzichtig!, Let op!) wordt de aandacht gevestigd op aanwijzingen die belangrijk zijn voor uw veiligheid of voor het juist functioneren van het apparaat. Hier absoluut op letten.

Na dit symbool wordt uitleg gegeven over de bediening en het prak-tisch gebruik van het apparaat.

Met het klaverblad worden tips en aanwijzingen voor een econo-mischen milieuvriendelijk gebruik van het apparaat aangegeven.

Voor eventueel optredende storingen staan in de handleiding aanwijzingen om deze zelf op te lossen, zie Hoofdstuk "Wat te doen als...". Als deze aanwijzingen niet voldoende informatie bieden staat onze klantendienst u te allen tijde ter beschikking.

La sicurezza dei nostri apparecchi é conforme ai regolamenti approvati della tecnica ed alla legge di sicurezza degli apparecchi. Nonostante ciò, riteniamo di doverVi facilitare la presa di confidenza con le seguenti avvertenze:

Impiego conforme alla scopo previsto

• L’apparecchio refrigerante é stato stabilito per l’uso domestico. È adatto per raffreddare, congelare ed la surgelazione di prodotti alimentari nonché per la preparazione di gelati.

• Per motivi si sicureza non é consentito in nessun caso apportare delle modifiche o trasformazioni.

• Nel caso si voglia impiegare l’apparecchio refrigerante nell’ambito imprenditoriale oppure per scopi differenti dal raffreddamento, congelamento di prodotti alimentari, si prega di osservare le disposizioni de legge vigenti per il Vostro settore.

Prima della prima messa in servizio

• Verificare l’apparecchio su eventuali danni causati dal trasporto. Non collegare in nessun caso un apparecchio danneggiato! In caso di danni rivolgersi al fornitore.

Sostanza refrigerante

L’apparecchio contiene nel circuito refrigerante un gas naturale denominato Isobutano (R600a), avente una elevata tolleranza per l’ambiente, il quale é tuttavia infiammabile.

• Osservare durante il trasporto e l’installazione dell’apparecchio che non venga danneggiato alcun elemento delcircuito refrigerante.

• In caso di danneggiamenti al circuito refrigerante:

– evitare assolutamente fiamme libere e fonti incendianti; – provvedere ad una buona aerazione del locale in cui si trova l’apparecchio.

Sicurezza dei bambini

• I pezzi di imballaggio (p.es. foglie, polistirolo) possono essere pericolosi per i bambini. Pericolo di soffocamento! Mantenere il metriale di imballaggio al di fuori della portata dei bambini!

• Gli apparecchi che non vengono più utilizzati devono essere resi inutilizzabili prima dello smaltimento. Estrarre la spina di rete, spezzare il cavo di rete, rimuovere oppure distruggere le eventuali chiusure lampo di bloccaggio. Mediante ciò si evita che si possano chiudere dentro dei bambini

Veiligheid

De veiligheid van onze koelapparaten voldoet aan de Europese en Nederlandse normen. Desondanks zien wij ons genoodzaakt u met de volgende veiligheidsaanwijzingen vertrouwd te maken:

Reglementaire toepassing

• Het koelapparaat is voor huishoudelijk gebruik bestemd. Het is geschikt voor het koelen, invriezen en diepgevroren bewaren van levensmiddelen en voor het maken van ijs. Als het apparaat voor andere doeleinden gebruikt wordt kan de fabrikant geen verantwoording nemen voor eventuele schaden.

• Het ombouwen van of veranderingen aan het koelapparaat aanbrengen is uit veiligheidsoverwegingen niet toegestaan.

• Als het koelapparaat commercieel of voor andere doeleinden dan voor het koelen, diepgevroren bewaren en invriezen van levens-middelen gebruikt wordt, s.v.p. letten op de hiervoor van kracht zijnde wettelijke bepalingen.

Voordat het apparaat voor de eerste keer in gebruik genomen wordt

• Controleer het koelapparaat op transportschaden. Een beschadigd apparaat in geen geval aansluiten! Wend u in geval van schade tot de leverancier.

Koelmiddelen

Het apparaat bevat in het koelvloeistofcircuit de koelvloeistof Isobutan (R600a), een natuurlijk, zeer milieuvriendelijk gas, dat echter wel brandbaar is.

• Bij het transport en het opstellen van het apparaat erop letten dat geen onderdelen van het koelvloeistofcircuit beschadigd worden.

• Bij beschadiging van het koelvloeistofcircuit:

– open vuur en brandhaarden absoluut vermijden; – het vertrek waar het apparaat staat goed ventileren.

Veiligheid van kinderen

• Verpakkingsdelen (bijv. foliën, piepschuim) kunnen voor kinderen gevaarlijk zijn. Stikgevaar! Verpakkingsmateriaal van kinderen weghouden!

• Oude apparaten voor het weggooien onbruikbaar maken. Stekker uit het stopcontact trekken, stroomkabel doorknippen, eventueel aanwe-zige

Prima di mettere in servizio il Vostro nuovo apparecchio refrigerante, Vi preghiamo di leggere attentamente queste istruzioni perl’uso. Queste contengono informazioni importanti per un impiego sicuro, per l’installazione e per la cura dell’apparecchio.

Conservare sempre le istruzioni per l’uso per sfogliarle eventualmente in futuro. Trasmettetele all’eventuale futuro proprietario dell’apparecchio.

Avvertenza: Questo libretto é valido per modelli tecnici simili differenziati solo negli accessori. Ponga attenzione ai riferimenti che riguardano la sua apparecchiatura.

Tramite il triangolo di avvertimento e/ oppure mediante segnali a parole (Avvertenza!, Precauzione!, Attenzione!), vengono messe in evidenza delle avvertenze molto importanti per la Vostra sicurezza oppure per la funzionalità del Vostro apparecchio. Pregasi osservare assolutamente..

Dopo questo segno si ottengono delle informazioni molto importanti concernenti il comando e gli impieghi pratici dell’apparecchio..

Mediante il fiore vengono contrassegnati dei consigli e delle avvertenze importanti concernenti un impiego economico e tollerabile per l’ambiente.

Per la comparsa di eventuali disturbi, nelle istruzioni per l’uso sono riportate delle avvertenze concernenti le riparazioni autonome, vedi capoverso “Che cosa fare, se...”. Nel caso queste avvertenze non siano sufficienti, il nostro servizio di assistenza Vi é sempre a completa disposizione.

Stampato su carta tollerabile per l’ambiente

snap– of grendelsloten verwijderen of kapotmaken. Daardoor wordt voorkomen dat spelende kinderen in het apparaat opgesloten raken (stikgevaar!) of in andere levensgevaarlijke situaties terecht komen.

• Kinderen kunnen gevaren die in het omgaan met huishoudelijke apparaten schuilen vaak niet herkennen. Zorg daarom voor de nodige toezicht en laat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.

Bij dagelijks gebruik

• Containers met brandbare gassen of vloeistoffen kunnen lek raken door de inwerking van koude. Explosiegevaar! Leg geen containers met brandbare stoffen zoals bijv. spraybussen, aanstekers, navullin-gen van aanstekers etc. in het koelapparaat.

• Flessen en blikken mogen niet in het vriesvak. Ze kunnen springen als de inhoud bevriest – bij koolzuurhoudende inhoud zelfs exploderen! Leg noit limonades, sappen, bier, wijn, champagne etc. in het vriesvak. Uitzondering: sterke drank met een zeer hoog alcohol percentage kan in het vriesvak gelegd worden.

• Consumptie-ijs en ijsblokjes niet direct vanuit de vriesruimte in de mond steken. Zeer koud ijs kan aan de lippen of de tong vastvriezen en verwondingen veroorzaken.

• Niet met natte handen aan diepvriesartikelen komen. De handen kunnen daaraan vastvriezen.

• Geen elektrische apparaten (bijv. elektrische ijsmachines, mixers etc.) in het koelapparaat gebruiken.

• Voor het schoonmaken het apparaat altijd uitzetten en de stekker uit het stopcontact trekken of de zekering in de woning uitschakelen c.q. er uit draaien.

• De stekker altijd aan de stekker zelf uit het stopcontact trekken, nooit aan het snoer.

Bij storing

• Als er een storing aan het apparaat optreedt eerst in de gebruiks-aanwijzing kijken onder “Wat te doen als ...”. Als de daar gegeven aanwijzingen niet verder helpen zelf niet verder aan het apparaat werken.

• Koelapparaten mogen alleen dooor geschoold personeel gerepareerd worden. Door ondeskundige reparaties kunnen grote gevaren ont-staan. Wend u zich bij reparaties tot uw vakhandel of tot onze klantendienst.

Aan de hand van deze nummers kan onze service-afdeling de juiste voorbereidingen treffen, zodat de machine bij het eerste bezoek van de servicetechnicus weer hersteld kan worden. Op deze manier hoeft u slechts één maal thuis te blijven.

Als u toch voor één van de in deze gebruiksaanwijzing vermelde storingen of vanwege foutieve bediening de AEG-service afdeling inschakelt, wordt dit bezoek ook tijdens de garantietermijn niet door onze garantiebepalingen gedekt.

Elektrische toestellen van AEG voldoen aan de betreffende veiligheidsbepalingen.

Reparaties aan elektische toestellen mogen alleen door vakmensen worden uitgevoerd. Onvakkundige reparaties kunnen tot aanzienlijke risico’s voor de gebruiker leiden. Wend u daarom altijd tot de AEG serviceafdeling. Voor reparaties uitgevoerd door anderen kan AEG geen aansprakelijkheid aanvaarden. Alleen originele AEG-onderdelen voldoen aan alle eisen!

Onze service-afdeling voert reparaties uit overeenkomstig de voorwaarden die tussen de Consumentenbond en de VLEHAN (Vereniging Leveranciers Elektrotechnische Huishoudelijke Apparaten Nederland) zijn overeengekomen.

Doel, normen, richtlijnen

Het koelapparaat is voor huishoudelijk gebruik bestemd en is met in-achtneming van de voor deze apparaten geldende normen gemaakt. Bij de fabricage zijn speciaal die maatregelen genomen die vereist zijn volgens de Duitse wet op de veiligheid van toestellen (GSG), volgens de Duitse voorschriften ter voorkoming van ongevallen bij koude-installaties (VBG 20) en volgens de bepalingen van de vereniging van Duitse elektotechnici (VDE). De koudecirculatie is op dichtheid getest.

Dit apparaat voldoet aan de volgende EG-richtlijnen: – 73/23/EWG van 19.2.1973 - Laagspanningsrichtlijn0 – 89/336/EWG van 3.5.1989 (met inbegrip van Wijzigingsrichtlijn 92/31/EWG) - EMC-richtlijn

Weggooien

Informatie over de verpakking van het apparaat

Alle gebruikte grondstoffen zijn milieuvriendelijk! Ze kunnen zonder gevaar weggegooid of in de vuilverbrandingsoven verbrand worden!

De grondstoffen: de kunststoffen kunnen ook opnieuw gebruikt worden en worden als volgt gekarakteriseerd:

>PE< voor polyethyleen, bijv. bij de buitenste verpakking en de zakken binnen in.

>PS< voor schuimpolystyrol, bijv. bij de bekledingsdelen, in principe FCKWvrij.

De kartonnen delen zijn van oud papier gemaakt en kunnen ook weer bij het oud-papier gedaan worden.

Weggooien van oude apparaten

Wegens milieuredenen dienen koelapparaten vakkundig ontmanteld te worden. Dit geldt voor Uw huidige apparaat en - als het ook aan vervanging toe is - ook voor Uw nieuwe apparaat.

Waarschuwing! Apparaten die hun tijd gehad hebben onbruikbaar maken voordat ze weggegooid worden. Stekker er afhalen, netsnoer doorknippen, eventuele snap- of grendelsloten verwijderen of kapot-maken. Hierdoor wordt voorkomen dat spelende kinderen in het apparaat opgesloten worden (verstikkingsgevaar!) of in andere levensgevaarlijke situaties terechtkomen.

Aanwijzingen voor het weggooien:

• Het apparaat mag niet bij het huis- of grofvuil gezet worden.

• Het koelvloeistofcircuit, in het bijzonder de warmtewisselaar aan de achterkant, mag niet beschadigd worden.

• Informatie over afhaaltijden of inzamelplaatsen zijn te verkrijgen bij de plaatselijke reinigingsdienst of op het gemeentehuis.

Transportbescherming verwijderen

Het apparaat alsmede de onderdelen van het interieur zijn voor het transport beschermd.

• Alle plakband alsmede bekledingsdelen uit het interieur verwijderen.

Houd bij het opgeven van een storing altijd de gegevens van uw toestel bij de hand. Deze nummers vindt u op het typeplaatje aan de binnenkant van het apparaat en kunt u het beste hieronder en voorop deze gebruiksaanwijzing noteren.

Lamp verwisselen

Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor elektrische schok! Voor het verwisselen van de lamp het apparaat uitzetten en de stekker uit het stopcontact trekken of de zekering uitschakelen c.q. eruit draaien.

Lampgegevens: 220-240 V, max. 15 W

1. Om het apparaat uit te zetten de temperatuurregelaar op stand „0" draaien.

2. Stekker uit het stopcontact trekken.

3. Voor het verwisselen van de lamp de schroef die de afdekking van het lampje bevestigt, eruit draaien.

4. Op de afdekking van het lampje drukken en deze achteruit laten glijden.

5. Defecte lamp verwisselen.

6. De afdekking weer monteren en de bevestigingsschroef aandraaien.

7. De koelkast aanzetten.

Opstellen

Opstelplaats

Het apparaat in een goed geventileerde en droge ruimte neerzetten. De omgevingstemperatuur heeft invloed op het stroomverbruik. Het apparaat daarom – niet aan directe straling van de zon blootstellen; – niet bij radiatoren, naast een kachel of andere warmtebronnen plaatsen; – alleen op een plaats neerzetten waarvan de omgevingstemperatuur ove-

reenkomt met de klimaatcategorie waarvoor het apparaat is ont-worpen.

De klimaatcategorieën staan op het merk- en type-aanduidingsplaatje dat zich links aan de binnenkant van het apparaat bevindt.

De volgende tabel geeft aan welke omgevingstemperatuur bij welke klimaatcategorie behoort:

Als het onvermijdelijk is het apparaat naast een warmtebron te plaat-sen, aan weerszijden minimaal de volgende afstanden aanhouden:

– tot elektrische kachels 3 cm; – tot olie- en kolenkachels 30 cm. Als men zich niet aan deze afstanden kan houden, is een warmte-isolatie-

plaat tussen kachel en koelapparaat aan te bevelen. Als het koelapparaat naast een ander koel- of diepvriesapparaat staat, is een

afstand van 5 cm aan weerszijden aan te bevelen, zodat zich geen condens vormt aan de buitenkant van de apparaten.

Sterke rijpvorming in het apparaat, eventueel ook aan de deurafdichting.

Deurafdichting is lek (eventueel na het verwisselen van de deuraanslag).

Op de ondichte plaatsen de deurafdichting voorzichtig met een föhn® verwarmen (niet heter dan ca. 50 °C). Tegelijkertijd de verwarmde deurafdichting met de hand zo in vorm trekken dat hij weer helemaal sluit.

Ongewone geluiden.

Apparaat komt tegen de muur of tegen andere voorwerpen aan.

Apparaat staat niet recht.

Een onderdeel, bijv. een leiding, aan de achterkant van het apparaat komt tegen een ander onderdeel van het apparaat aan of tegen de muur.

De compressor start na enige tijd automatisch.

Zie hoofdstuk “Reiniging en onderhoud”.

Dit is normaal, het betreft geen storing.

Na het wijzigen van de temperatuurinstelling start de compressor niet direct.

Water op de bodem van de koelruimte of op de legvlakken.

Ontdooiwaterafvoer is verstopt.

Dit onderdeel voorzichtig wegbuigen.

Apparaat iets wegtrekken.

Stelvoetjes bijstellen.

De levensmiddelen zijn te warm.

Binnenverlichting werkt niet.

Het apparaat staat naast een warmtebron.

Temperatuur is niet juist ingesteld.

Zie hoofdstuk “Ingebruikname”.

Lamp is kapot.

Zie hoofdstuk “Lamp verwisselen”.

Temperatuurregelaar op een koudere stand zetten.

Deur heeft te lang opengestaan.

Zie hoofdstuk “Opstelplaats”.

In de laatste 24 uur zijn grotere hoeveelheden warme levensmiddelen opgeslagen.

Deur slechts zo lang open laten als nodig is.

Deurdraairichting

Het deurscharnier kan van rechts (stand waarin hij wordt afgeleverd) naar links gewisseld worden als dat voor de opstelplaats nodig is.

Waarschuwing! Bij het wisselen van de deurscharnieren mag het apparaat niet op het lichtnet aangesloten zijn. Van te voren de stekker uit het stopcontact halen.

Ga nu verder als volgt te werk:

1. Trek het ventilatierooster (D), dat door palwerk vastgezet is, uit.

2. Verwijder het onderscharnier (E) door de twee schroeven, die het bevestigen, los te draaien.

3. Neem de onderdeur uit het tussenscharnier (B).

4. Verwijder het tussenscharnier, trek de bovendeur van stift (D) schroef hem

Muur-afstandshouders

In het documentenzakje bevinden zich twee afstandshouders die in de bovenste hoeken aan de achterzijde geplaatst dienen te worden. Draai de schroeven los, steek de afstandshouders onder de schroefkop en draai de schroeven weer vast.

Tips om energie te besparen

• Het apparaat niet in de buurt van kachels, verwarmingselementen of andere warmtebronnen plaatsen. Bij een hoge omgevingstemperatuur werkt de compressor vaker en langer.

• Zorgen voor voldoende be- en ontluchting aan de onderkant van het apparaat. Ventilatieopeningen nooit afdekken.

• Geen warme spijzen in het apparaat zetten. Warme spijzen eerst laten afkoelen.

• Deur slechts zo lang open laten als nodig is.

• De temperatuur niet lager dan nodig instellen.

• Diepvriesartikelen voor het ontdooien in de koelruimte leggen. De koude in de diepvriesartikelen wordt zo voor koeling van de koelruimte gebruikt.

• Houd de warmte afgevende verdamper, het metalen rooster aan de achterzijde van het toestel, schoon.

Wat te doen als ...

Hulp bij storingen

Het kan bij een storing om kleine defecten gaan die zelf u aan de hand van de volgende aanwijzingen kunt oplossen. Voer zelf geen verdere werkzaamheden uit als de volgende informatie in concrete gevallen niet verder helpt.

Waarschuwing! Reparaties aan het koelapparaat mogen alleen door geschoold personeel uitgevoerd worden. Door ondeskundige reparaties kunnen grote gevaren ontstaan voor de gebruiker. Wend u bij reparatie tot onze klantendienst.

5. Verwijder de twee beschermdopjes van de gaatjes voor de scharnierpinnen en monteer ze aan de andere kant.

6. Plaats de bovendeur en het tussenscharnier (H) aan de andere kant.

7. Hermonteer de onderdeur.

8. Hermonteer het onderscharnier (E) aan de andere kant door middel van de twee schroeven die u eerder verwijderd hebt.

9. Verwijder het stopstuk (F) uit het ventilatierooster (D) door het naar de pijlrichting te duwen en breng het aan de andere kant weer aan.

10. Hermonteer het ventilatieroos-ter (D), voer het door palwerk in.

11. De handgreep losschroeven. Aan de andere kant van de deur bevestigen nadat u de dopjes met een priem doorgeprikt heeft. De vrijgekomen gaatjes afsluiten met de bijgeleverde dopjes; deze vindt u in het zakje van de documentatie.

Belangrijk

Na het omkeren van de deurdraairichting moet u controleren of het deurrubber rondom goed op de sponning sluit. In een koud vertrek (in de winter) kan het gebeuren dat dat niet het geval is. Na enkele dagen zal het rubber zich echter aangepast hebben. Wilt u dat bespoedigen, dan kunt u het rubber warm maken met een föhn.

• Geen schurende schoonmaakmiddelen gebruiken.

1. Koel– en diepvriesartikelen er uit halen. Diepvriesartikelen in meerdere lagen kranten verpakken. Alles afgedekt op een koele plaats leggen.

2. Vriesvak voor het schoonmaken ontdooien (zie hoofdstuk “Ontdooien”).

3. Apparaat uitzetten en de stekker uit het stopcontact halen of de zeke-ring uitschakelen c.q. er uitdraaien.

4. Apparaat en interieur met een doek en lauwwarm water schoonmaken. Eventueel een beetje normaal afwasmiddel gebruiken.

5. Daarna met schoon water afnemen en droogmaken. Stof op de condensor verhoogt het energieverbruik. Daarom eenmaal per

jaar de condensor aan de achterkant van het apparaat met een zachte borstel of met de stofzuiger voorzichtig schoonmaken.

6. Het dooiwater-afvoergat aan de achterwand van de koelruimte controleren. Een verstopt dooiwater-afvoergat met behulp van het groene stopje dat met het toestel is meegeleverd schoonmaken.

7. Als alles droog is, de levens-middelen er weer in doen en het apparaat weer in bedrijf nemen.

Elektrische aansluiting

Voor de elektrische aansluiting is een volgens de voorschriften geïnstalleerde beschermcontactdoos vereist.

De contactdoos moet zodanig worden geïnstalleerd, dat de steker altijd uit de contactdoos kan worden getrokken.

De elektrische zekering dient minstens 10 Ampère te zijn. Indien het stopcontact bij een ingebouwd apparaat niet meer toegan-kelijk

is, dient een maatregel in de elektrische installatie er voor te zorgen dat het apparaat van de stroom kan worden afgesloten (bijv. zekering, beveiligingsschakelaar, aardlekschakelaar of dergelijke met een contactopeningsbreedte van minimaal 3 mm).

• Voor ingebruikneming op het merk– en type–aanduidingsplaatje van het apparaat controleren of de netspanning en stroomsoort over-eenkomen met de waarden van het lichtnet op de plaats waar het apparaat komt te staan.

Bijv.: AC 220 ... 240 V 50 Hz of

220 ... 240 V~ 50 Hz (d.w.z. 220 tot 240 Volt wisselstroom, 50 Hertz) Het typeplaatje bevindt zich links aan de binnenkant van het apparaat.

Voor ingebruikname

• Het interieur van het apparaat en alle accessoires schoonmaken voor het

eerste gebruik (zie Hoofdstuk “Reiniging en Onderhoud”).

In gebruik nemen en temperatuurregeling

• U steekt de steker van de koelkast in een contactdoos met randaarde. Als

u de koelkastdeur opent, wordt de binnenverlichting ingeschakeld. De draaiknop voor de temperatuukeuze bevindt zich rechts in de koelruimte.

Stand „0“ betekent: uit. Stand „1“ betekent: hoogste binnentemperatuur, warmste instelling. Stand „6“ betekent: laagste binnentemperatuur, koudste instelling.

Bij het instellen van de juiste stand dient u er rekening mee te houden dat de temperatuur in het apparaat afhankelijk is van:

- de kamertemperatuur;

- de frequentie waarmee de deuren geopend worden;

Apparaat uitzetten

Als het apparaat gedurende langere tijd niet gebruikt wordt:

1. Levensmiddelen uit koelruimte en vriesvak nemen.

2. Apparaat uitzetten, daartoe de temperatuurregelaar op stand “0” draaien.

3. Stekker uit het stopcontact halen of zekering uitschakelen, er resp. uithalen.

4. Diepvriesruimte ontdooien en grondig reinigen (zie hoofdstuk “Reini-ging en onderhoud”).

5. Deuren daarna open laten om geurvorming te voorkomen.

Belangrijk

Gebruik voor het verwijderen van de rijp nooit metalen voorwerpen; u zou uw koelkast kunnen beschadigen.

Geen voorwerpen of methodes gebruiken om het ontdooiproces te versnellen die niet door de fabrikant zijn aangegeven.

Temperatuurstijging van diepvriesproducten kan hun houdbaarheids-duur verkorten.

Reiniging en onderhoud

Om hygiënische redenen dient het apparaat aan de binnenkant met toebehoren geregeld gereinigd te worden.

Waarschuwing!

• Het apparaat mag tijden het schoonmaken niet op het electrikiteits-net

aangesloten zijn. Gevaar voor schokken! Zet voor het schoonmaken het apparaat uit en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact of schakel c.q. draai de zekering er uit.

• Het apparaat nooit met stoomreinigingsapparaten schoonmaken. Er kan

vocht in de elektrische onderdelen komen. Gevaar voor schokken! Hete damp kan kunstoffen onderdelen beschadigen.

• Het apparaat dient droog te zijn voordat het weer in gebruik genomen

wordt.

Let op!

• Etherische oliën en organische oplosmiddelen kunnen kunststof onderde-

len aantasten, bijv. – Sap van citroen– of sinaasappelschillen; –boterzuur;

Interieur

Legvlakken

Naargelang het model is het apparaat voorzien van glas legvlakken.

Het legvlak van glas boven de groente- en fruitbakken moet altijd op die plaats blijven liggen, opdat groente en fruit langer vers blijven.

De overige legvlakken zijn in hoogte verstelbaar:

Daartoe de legvlak zover naar voren trekken tot hij naar boven of onderen bewogen kan worden en eruit gehaald kan worden.

Om de legvlakken op een andere hoogte te zetten in omgekeerde volgorde te werk gaan.

Plaatsen van grote verpakkingen: De voorste helft van de tweedelige legvlak eruit halen en op een andere

hoogte erin schuiven. Hierdoor wordt ruimte gewonnen om op de daaronder gelegen legvlak grote verpakkingen te plaatsen.

Variabele binnendeur

Naargelang de behoefte kunnen de deurvakbodems er naar boven uitgenomen worden en op andere plaatsen gezet worden.

- de plaats van het apparaat. De temperaturen in koelruimte en vriesvak kunnen niet gescheiden geregeld

worden. Als verse levensmiddelen snel moeten worden ingevroren, kunt u stand „6“

kiezen. Let u erop, dat de temperatuur in de koelruimte niet beneden 0°C komt en zet de temperatuurregelaar tijdig op stand „3“ of „4“ terug.

Belangrijk!

Hoge omgevingstemperatuur (bijv. op hete zomerdagen) en koude instelling van de temperatuurregelaar (stand “5” tot “6”) kunnen er voor zorgen dat de compressor continu werkt.

Zet in dat geval de temperatuurregelaar op een warmere stand (stand “3” tot “4”). Bij deze instelling wordt de compressor geregeld en begint het ontdooien weer automatisch.

Ontdooiing van het toestel

Het ontdooien van de koelruimte

Het ontdooien van de koelkast heeft automatisch plaats elke keer dat de compressor stopt. Het dooiwater wordt via een afvoerkanaaltje opgevangen in een bakje dat zich aan de achterkant van het apparaat boven de compressor bevindt. Hier verdampt het water.

Wij raden u aan het gaatje in het afvoerkanaal regelmatig schoon te maken, teneinde te

voorkomen dat het dooiwater de levensmiddelen nat maakt. Gebruik voor het doorprikken het staafje dat zich in het gaatje bevindt.

Het ontdooien van de vriesruimte

In het vriesvak dient u echter de rijp te verwijderen, wanneer deze een laag van circa 4 mm vormt. Gebruik hiervoor het plastic spatel.Voor het uitvoeren van deze handeling hoeft u het aparaat niet uit te schakelen of het vriesvak leeg te maken.Wanneer zich een dikke laag ijs gevormd heeft, dient u het gehele apparaat te ontdooien.

Ga als volgt te werk:

1. draai de thermostaaaknop op “0” of trek de steker uit het stopcontact;

2. omwikkel de levensmiddelen met meerdere kranten en bewaar ze op een koele plaats;

3. laat de deur openstaan en plaats een teiltje op het hoogste rek van het koelkastvak onder het afvoergaatje, open het deksetje van de afvoer.

4. droog na het ontdooien het vriesvak zorgvuldig en sluit het gaatje weer af met het dekseltje;

5. draai de thermostaatknop in de gewenste stand of steek de steker weer in het stopcontact. Na twee of drie uur kunt u de diepvriesprodukten weer terugplaatsen.

Invriezenen en diepgevroren opslaan

In uw koelapparaat kunt u diepvriesproducten bewaren en verse levensmiddelen zelf invriezen.

Attentie!

• Voor het invriezen van levensmiddelen dient de temperatuur in de vrie-

sruimte –18 °C of lager te zijn.

• Let op het op het typeplaatje aangegeven vriesvermogen. Het vries-ver-

mogen is de maximale hoeveelheid verse waren die binnen 24 uur ingevroren kunnen worden. Als er gedurende meerdere dagen achter elkaar ingevroren wordt, neem dan slechts 2/3 tot 3/4 van de hoeveelheid aangegeven op het typeplaatje. De kwaliteit is beter, als de levensmiddelen snel tot in de kern bevriezen.

• Warme levensmiddelen voor het invriezen laten afkoelen. De warmte leidt

tot verhoogde ijsvorming en verhoogt het energieverbruik.

• Bij het bewaren van kantenklare diepvriesproducten dient u zich beslist

aan de door de fabrikant opgegeven bewaartijd te houden.

• Eenmaal ontdooide levensmiddelen zonder verdere verwerking (bereiden

Koelen van levensmiddelen

Voor een optimaal gebruik van de koelruimte adviseren wij u de volgende eenvoudige regels in acht te nemen:

• Plaats geen warme of dampende spijzen of dranken in de koelruimte;

• dek vooral sterk geurend voedsel af of verpak het;

• plaats de levensmiddelen zo, dat de lucht vrij eromheen kan circuleren. Enkele belangrijke tips: Vlees (alle soorten): wordt in plastic zakjes op de glazen plaat boven de

groentelade geplaatst.

Bewaar vlees niet langer dan één of twee dagen. Gekookt voedsel, koude schotels enz.: kunnen, goed afgedekt, op elk roo-

ster geplaatst worden.

Fruit en groente: worden schoongemaakt in de groentelade(n) gelegd. Boter en kaas: worden, om blootstelling aan de lucht te voorkomen, in spe-

ciale koeldozen bewaard of in plastic- of aluminiumfolie verpakt.

Flessen melk: worden, goed gesloten, in het flessenrek geplaatst. Bewaar niet-luchtdicht verpakte bananen, aardappelen, uien of knoflook

niet in de koelkast.

• Flessen en blikken mogen niet in de vriesruimte. Ze kunnen springen als de inhoud bevriest – bij koolzuurhoudende inhoud zelfs exploderen! Leg noit limonades, sappen, bier, wijn, champagne etc. in de vriesruimte. Uitzondering: sterke drank met een zeer hoog alcoholpercentage kan in de vriesruimte gelegd worden.

• Alle levensmiddelen voor het invriezen luchtdicht verpakken, zodat ze niet uitdrogen, de smaak niet verloren gaat en de smaak niet op andere diepvriesproducten overgebracht wordt.

Voorzichtig! Diepvriesartikelen niet met natte handen aanraken. De handen kunnen daaraan vast vriezen.

1. De in te vriezen levensmiddelen in de vriesruimter van het apparaat plaatsen. Niet-bevroren artikelen mogen niet in aanraking komen met reeds bevroren waren omdat anders de bevroren artikelen kunnen ontdooien.

voorkomen en wordt stroom bespaard.

Het maken van ijsblokjes

1. IJsbakje voor 3/4 met koud water vullen, in de vriesruimte plaatsen en laten bevriezen.

2. Om de ijsblokjes los te maken het ijsbakje omdraaien of kort onder stromend water houden.

Attentie! Een eventueel vastgevroren ijsbakje in geen geval met spitse of scherpe voorwerpen losmaken.

Diepvrieskalender

• De symbolen geven de diverse soorten diep-vriesproducten aan.

• De getallen geven voor iedere soort diepvriesproduct de opslagtijd in maanden aan. Of de hoogste of de laagste waarde van de aangegeven opslagtijd geldt, hangt af van de kwaliteit van de levensmiddelen en de behandeling voorafgaand aan het invriezen. Voor levensmiddelen met een hoog vetgehalte geldt altijd de laagste waarde.
