1 Sicherheitshinweise

Die Sicherheit dieses Geräts entspricht den
anerkannten Regeln der Technik und dem
Gerätesicherheitsgesetz. Dennoch sehen wir
uns als Hersteller veranlaßt, Sie mit den
nachfolgenden Sicherheitshinweisen ver­traut zu machen.

Allgemeine Sicherheit

• Das Gerät darf nur an ein Stromnetz an­geschlossen werden, dessen Spannung
und Frequenz mit der Angabe auf dem
Typschild übereinstimmt!

• Achtung! Diesen Haartrock­ner nicht in der Nähe von
Badewannen, Waschbecken
oder anderen Gefäßen, wel­che Wasser enthalten, benutzen.

• Gefahr besteht auch bei ausgeschalte­tem Haartrockner, deshalb nach Ge­brauch und vor dem Reinigen Netz­stecker ziehen!

• Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus
der Steckdose ziehen!

• Der Einbau einer Fehlerstromschutzein­richtung mit einem Nennauslösestrom
von weniger als 30 mA in der Hausin­stallation bietet zusätzlichen Schutz.
Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Elektroinstalla­teur.

• Bitte prüfen Sie von Zeit zu Zeit die
Netzzuleitung auf Beschädigungen!

• Reparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen
nur von Fachkräften durchgeführt
werden. Durch unsachgemäße Repara­turen können erhebliche Gefahren ent­stehen. Wenden Sie sich im
Reparaturfall an den Kundendienst
oder an Ihren autorisierten Fachhänd­ler.

Sicherheit von Kindern

• Die Hinweise in dieser Gebrauchsanwei­sung sind unbedingt zu beachten und
Kindern entsprechend zu erklären.

• Kinder sollten Haartrockner nicht ohne
Aufsicht benutzen.

Das sollten Sie beim Betrieb des
Haartrockners beachten.

• Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen,
sofort den Netzstecker ziehen.
Keinesfalls ins Wasser greifen! Das Ge­rät anschließend von einem Fachmann
überprüfen lassen!

• Das Gerät darf nicht naß werden bzw.
mit nassen Händen benutzt werden.

• Nicht mit Sprays oder Wasserzerstäu­ber in das Gerät sprühen.

• Sobald das Gerät aus der Hand gelegt
wird, ist es aus Gründen der Sicherheit
immer auszuschalten.

• Das Luftaustrittsgitter wird funktionsbe­dingt während des Betriebes heiß!

• Die Luftein- und Luftaustrittsöffnungen
dürfen nie abgedeckt werden.

• Bei Verschmutzung ist das Lufteinlaßgit­ter zu reinigen. Haare sollten nicht in
den Bereich des Lufteinlaßgitters kom­men.

• Wird beim Betrieb dieses Gerätes der
Luftdurchlaß behindert (z. B. durch Ver­schmutzung), so schaltet der eingebaute
Übertemperaturschutz das Gerät auto­matisch ab und nach Abkühlung (einige
Minuten) wieder ein.

• Die Netzzuleitung darf bei Betrieb des
Gerätes nicht mit der Luftaustrittsöff­nung in Berührung kommen.

• Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet ein­gesetzt oder falsch bedient, kann vom
Hersteller keine Haftung für eventuelle
Schäden übernommen werden.

Entsorgung

2 Verpackungsmaterial

Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind
umweltverträglich und wiederverwert­bar. Die Kunststoffteile sind gekenn­zeichnet, z. B. >PE<, >PS< etc.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackungsmate­rialien entsprechend ihrer Kennzeich­nung bei den kommunalen
Entsorgungsstellen in den dafür vor­gesehenen Sammelbehältern.

Bedienungshinweise

FOEN® PROFESSION 1800

Diese Modelle haben zwei Wippschalter mit
folgenden Schalterstellungen:

Unterer Schalter (Pos. 6):
0 = AUS

1 = mittlerer Luftstrom
2 = starker Luftstrom

Oberer Schalter (Pos. 5):

• = niedrigere Temperatur

• • = mittlere Temperatur

• • • = höhere Temperatur

FOEN® 1600, FOEN® 1420,
FOEN® 1410

Diese Modelle haben einen Wippschalter
mit folgenden Schalterstellungen:

Schalter (Pos. 6):
0 = AUS

1 = mittlerer Luftstrom
2 = starker Luftstrom

Aufsteckdüse (Pos. 1)

Die Aufsteckdüse kann beliebig aufgesetzt
werden. Sie ist rundum drehbar und ermög­licht eine gezielte Luftbündelung zum
Trocknen einzelner Haarpartien.

Aufhängeöse (Pos. 2)

An der integrierten Aufhängeöse kann der
Haartrockner platzsparend und jederzeit
griffbereit untergebracht werden.

COOL-Taste (Pos. 4)
FOEN® TITAN 1800, FOEN® PRO­FESSION 1800, FOEN® 1600

Damit die den Haaren beim Trocknen gege­bene Form besser und länger hält, sollten
Sie das Haartrocknen mit abgekühlter Luft
abschließen.

0 COOL-Taste drücken.

Abnehmbares Lufteinlaßgitter
(Pos. 3)
FOEN® TITAN 1800, FOEN® PRO­FESSION 1800, FOEN® 1600

0 Lufteinlaßgitter zum Reinigen mit

leichter Drehung nach links vom Gerät
abnehmen.

0 Siebeinsatz aus Lufteinlaßgitter her-

ausnehmen und mit Bürste reinigen.

0 Siebeinsatz wieder in Lufteinlaßgitter

einlegen und mit einer Rechtsdrehung
auf dem Gerät anbringen.
Der Siebeinsatz darf auf keinen Fall
naß in das Gerät eingesetzt werden.

3 Eine regelmäßig Reinigung trägt we-

sentlich zu einer höheren Lebensdauer
des Haartrockners bei.

1 Safety notes

This appliance corresponds to accepted
technological standards with regards to
safety and to the German Appliance Safety
Law. As manufacturers, we nevertheless
regard it as our duty to familiarise custo­mers with the following safety considerati­ons.

General safety

• The hair drier may be connected only to
a power socket carrying a voltage and
frequency matching the information on
the model rating plate!

• Caution! Do not use this
hair drier near baths, hand
basins or other water-con­taining vessels!

• There is a residual risk even when the
hair drier is switched off. Remove the
hair drier plug from the power socket.
after use and before cleaning!

• Never try to remove the plug from the
socket by pulling on the lead!

• The installation of a residual current cir­cuit breaker (RCD) with a rated trigger
current of less than 30 mA in the dome­stic power supply provides additional
protection. Seek advice from a qualified
electrician.

• Periodically check the mains lead for
damage!

• Repairs to this appliance may only be
carried out by qualified service engi­neers. Considerable danger may result
from improper repairs. If repairs
become necessary, please contact the
Customer Care Department or your
authorised dealer.

Child safety

• These instructions must be observed and
explained to children.

• Children should not use the hair drier
unsupervised.

Points to observe when operating
the hair drier.

• If the hair drier falls into water, imme­diately remove the plug from the
mains socket. Do not, under any cir­cumstances, reach into the water!
Have the appliance checked by an
electrician!

• The hair drier must not be used wet or
with wet hands.

• Do not direct any spray can or water
mister into the hair drier.

• For safety reasons, switch the drier off
whenever you put it down.

• The air outlet grille becomes hot during
operation. This is normal, and results
from the proper function of the
appliance!

• The air intakes and outlets must never be
covered.

• Clean the air intake grille periodically to
remove any blockages. Do not allow hair
near the air intake.

• If the air flow is blocked while the hair
drier is operating (e.g. by dirt or fluff),
the integral overheat cut-out automati­cally switches the appliance off. Once it
has cooled down (after a few minutes) it
automatically switches back on.

• The power lead must not come into con­tact with the air outlet during operation.

• The manufacturer can accept no liabi­lity for any loss or damage arising from
improper use of the appliance.

Disposal

2 Packaging material

The packaging materials are environ­mentally friendly and can be recycled.
The plastic components are identified
by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc.
Please dispose of the packaging materi­als in the appropriate container at the
community waste disposal facilities.

2 Old appliance

product may not be treated as house­hold waste. Instead it shall be handed
over to the applicable collection point
for the recycling of electrical and elec­tronic equipment. By ensuring this

Operating instructions

FOEN® PROFESSION 1800

These models have two rocker switches with
the following switch positions:

Bottom switch (Pos. 6):
0 = OFF

1 = medium airflow
2 = high airflow

Top switch (Pos. 5):

•= low temperature

• • = medium temperature

• • • = high temperature

FOEN® 1600, FOEN® 1420,
FOEN® 1410

These models have one rocker switch with
the following switch positions:

Switch (Pos. 6):
0 = OFF

1 = medium airflow
2 = high airflow

Push-on nozzle (Pos. 1)

The push-on nozzle can be fitted as requi­red. It can be completely rotated, and is
designed to allow a concentrated flow of
air to dry small areas of the hair.

Hanger (Pos. 2)

The integral hanger allows space-saving
stowage of the hair drier, ready for use.

COOL button (Pos. 4)
FOEN® TITAN 1800, FOEN® PRO­FESSION 1800, FOEN® 1600

To help you keep your hair as you have sty­led it, it is advisable to finish drying your
hair with cool air.

0 Press the COOL button.

Removable air intake grille (Pos. 3)

0 To remove the air intake grille for cle-

aning, gently turn anti-clockwise and
pull.

0 Remove the filter insert from the air

intake grille, and clean with a brush.

0 Replace the filter insert in the air

intake grille, and turn clockwise to
lock in place on the hair drier.
The filter insert must NEVER be repla­ced in a wet condition.

3 Regular cleaning makes a significant

contribution to lengthening the life of
the hair drier.
