Please comply with these instructions. If you do not, any damage resulting is not covered by the warranty.
Correct use
This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruc­tion by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
This appliance should be used only for the normal domestic grilling and frying
of food.
The appliance must not be used as a work surface or as a storage surface.
Additions or modifications to the appliance are not permitted.
Do not place or store flammable liquids, highly inflammable materials or fusi-
ble objects (e.g. plastic film, plastic, aluminium) on or near the appliance.
Children’s safety
Small children must be kept away from the appliance.
Only let bigger children work on the appliance under supervision.
General safety
The appliance may only be installed and connected by trained, registered service engineers.
Built-in appliances may only be used after they have built in to suitable built­in units and work surfaces that meet standards.
In the event of faults with the appliance or damage to the glass ceramic (cracks, scratches or splits), the appliance must be switched off and discon­nected from the electrical supply, to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.
Repairs to the appliance must only be carried out by trained registered service engineers.

Safety during use
Remove stickers and film from the glass ceramic.
There is the risk of burns from the appliance if used carelessly.
Cables from electrical appliances must not touch the hot surface of the appli-
ance.
Overheated fats and oils can ignite very quickly. Warning! Fire hazard!
Smother fire using a cover, never use water to put out.
In the case of fire, set all switches to zero and switch off any extractor.
Switch off the appliance after each use.
Safety when cleaning
For cleaning, the appliance must be switched off and cooled down.
For safety reasons, the cleaning of the appliance with steam jet or high-pres-
sure cleaning equipment is not permitted.
How to avoid damage to the appliance
The glass ceramic can be damaged by objects falling onto it.

The appliance is operated using Touch Control sensor fields. Functions are con­trolled by touching sensor fields and confirmed by displays and acoustic signals. Touch the sensor fields from above, without covering other sensor fields.

1 Warning! Risk of burns from residual heat. After being switched off, the appli-
ance needs some time to cool down. Look at the residual heat indicator .
3 When the grill is operated, the deep fat fryer heats up. The residual heat of
the deep fat fryer is displayed.

Using grilling
1 The grill may only be used with the grill insert inserted.
1. Insert grill insert with lava stones in the grill. The lava stones absorb fat that comes out of the food when grilling.
2. Take hold of grill shelf firmly with both hands and tilt it backwards until it is in the fixture (A).
3. Lower grill shelf and insert the plug in the socket (B).
3 With very fatty foods the lava stones can
be replaced with water. A sufficient amount of water is important.

Socket has live parts and must be protected from moisture. Only fill up with water when deep fat fryer plug is inserted in the socket.

Using deep fat fryer
1. Remove grill shelf and grill insert.
2. Close drain tap and replace safety catch.
3 The deep fat fryer’s oil cavity must be filled
with oil between the marks MIN (1.5 litres) and MAX (3 litres).
3. Insert deep fat fryer plug in the socket.
4. Fill deep fat fryer oil cavity with oil.
3 Frying fat can also be used instead of oil.

3 If a grill setting/temperature is selected, the indicator flashes until the grill set-
ting/temperature is reached. When the grill setting/temperature selected is reached, an acoustic signal sounds.
3 If the deep fat fryer plug or grill shelf is not inserted properly, the appliance does
not heat up.
3 A temperature from 170°C to 180°C is suitable for deep fat frying.

Deep frying
1. Fill fryer basket with food to be fried outside of the deep fat fryer and shake. Ice and small pieces of food to be fried can fall through the fryer basket into the hot oil.
2. Wait until oil has reached the selected temperature. Temperature indicator no longer flashes and acoustic signal sounds.
3. Fry food until it has taken on the appropriate colour.
4. After deep frying lift the fryer basket out of the oil.
5. Carefully shake fryer basket to remove excess oil.
6. Hang fryer basket on the hanger to allow further draining.
3 When dealing with larger quantities of food to be fried, take the fryer basket out
of the oil after 1-2 minutes and heat the oil up again. When the oil is heated up again, continue deep frying.
3 If using frying fat, cut this into pieces and melt at 120°C.
Using the child safety device
The child safety device prevents unintentional use of the appliance.

Automatic switch off
If one or more sensor fields are covered for longer than approx. 10 seconds,
e.g. by a pan cloth lying on it, a signal sounds and the appliance switches off automatically.
If the appliance is not switched off after 90minutes or the grill setting or tem-
perature is not altered, the appliance automatically switches itself off. is displayed.

Information on acrylamides
According to the latest scientific knowledge, intensive browning of food, espe­cially in products containing starch, can constitute a health risk due to acryla­mides. Therefore we recommend cooking at the lowest possible temperatures and not browning foods too much.
Frying frozen food
Deep frozen foods for frying absorb a lot of oil and cook more slowly.
3 Defrost frozen food to room temperature before drying. 3 Observe the amount and temperature given in the following table or on the
packet.

Example: steak and chips
1. Fill deep fat fryer with oil and set temperature.
2. Fry chips until they are almost ready.
3. Switch deep fat fryer off.
4. Insert grill insert and grill shelf, set grill setting.
5. Grill steaks and keep warm on a plate.
6. Switch grill off.
7. Set temperature for the deep fat fryer.
8. Finish frying chips.

Take care! During cleaning the appliance must be switched off. Let the appli­ance cool down until all parts can safely be touched.
1 Important: Sharp objects and abrasive cleaning materials will damage the ap-
pliance. Clean with water and washing up liquid.

Clean appliance with deep fat fryer plug inserted.
1. Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and a little washing up liquid.
2. Rub the appliance dry using a clean cloth.
Removable Frontline strip
The aluminium Frontline strip fastens on by means of magnets. It is easy to re­move by hand and can be cleaned with detergent. Please do not use any scour­ing agents or sponges that scratch. Do not clean the strip in the dishwasher.

Clean grill shelf and grill insert after each use. The heating element can be removed for the cleaning of the grill shelf.
1 Important: The heating element's plug must not be immersed in water.

2. Undo screws on the bottom on the grill shelf

4. Remove heating element. Cleaning grill shelf and grill insert
Remove residues using a brush. Soak off stubborn residues in hot washing up water.
3 If grey discolorations appear, occasionally oil the grill shelf
Inserting heating element
1. Insert centring pin on the heating element in the grill shelf and reposition plate.
2. Replace screws and tighten.
3 The grill temperature sensor is located in front of the socket. The sensor’s con-
tact surface to the grill shelf is always to be kept clean.
Lava stones
As soon as a lot of fat has collected on the lava stones, the lava stones must be cleaned. Clean lava stones in a basket that is dishwasher-safe or in hot washing up water.

When oil is old, drain off oil and clean deep fat fryer oil cavity.
1 Important: Risk of burns from hot oil.
Only drain off cooled oil.
Draining oil
1. Place sufficiently large container under drain tap.
2. Remove safety catch in front of drain tap.
3. Open drain tap and let oil run out.
4. Close drain tap and replace safety catch.
5. Take out drain filter and clean in hot washing up water.
6. Fill deep fat fryer with hot water and clean with washing up liquid.
7. Place sufficiently large container under drain tap.
8. Remove safety catch on drain tap.
9. Open drain tap and let water run into container.
10. Rinse out deep fat fryer oil cavity with cold water and dry with a cloth.
11. Close drain tap and replace safety catch.
12. Place drain filter with the curve upwards over the drain.

The packaging materials are environmentally friendly and can be recycled. The plastic components are identified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dis­pose of the packaging materials in the appropriate container at the community waste disposal facilities.

Safety instructions
Warning! This must be read! The laws, ordinances, directives and standards in force in the country of use are to be followed (safety regulations, proper recycling in accordance with the regu­lations, etc.) Installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The minimum distances to other appliances and units are to be observed. Anti-shock protection must be provided by the installation, for example drawers may only be installed with a protective floor directly underneath the appliance. The cut surfaces of the worktop are to be protected against moisture using a suitable sealant. The sealant seals the appliance to the work top with no gap.
1 The minimum gap between the underside of the worktop and a shelf installed
under the appliance must be 235 mm plus room for a container able to hold 4 li­tres.

The electrical mains terminal is live.
Make electrical mains terminal free of voltage.
Follow connection schematic.
Observe electrical safety rules.
Ensure anti-shock protection by installing correctly.
The appliance must be connected to the electrical supply by a qualified elec-
trician.

Loose and inappropriate plug and socket connections can make the terminal
overheat.
Have the clamping connections correctly installed by a qualified electrician.
Use strain relief clamp on cable.
In the event of single-phase or two-phase connection, the appropriate mains
cable of type H05BB-F Tmax 90°C(or higher) must be used.
If this appliance’s mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a special ca-
ble (type H05BB-F Tmax 90°C; or higher). The latter is available from the Cus­tomer Care Department.

A device must be provided in the electrical installation which allows the appli­ance to be disconnected from the mains at all poles with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm. Suitable isolation devices include line protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw type fus­es are to be removed from the holder), earth leakage trips and contactors.

1. Work out the size of the cut-out section and saw it out.
2. Remove Frontline strip from the appliances by hand (magnetic fastening).
3. Lay the appliances one at a time on something soft (for example a blanket) with
the underside facing upwards.
4. Screw / clip fixing plates / retaining grips into the appropriate holes in the pro­tective boxes.

5. Place first appliance in the cut-out. Lay connecting cross bar in the cut-out and push up halfway against the appliance.
6. Put silicon on the appliance corners that will touch one another. Put silicon on the end of the cross bar.
7. Loosely screw in fixing plates / retaining grips from below on the worktop and on the connecting cross bar.

8. Place Frontline strips on the appliances. Check that the Frontline strips are in line with one another.
9. Tighten the fixing plate / retaining grip screws.
10. Inject a line of silicon into the gap between the appliances.
11. Dampen silicon line with a little soapy water.
12. Press rubber block hard against the glass ceramic and draw it slowly along the
gap.
13. Leave silicon until the next day to harden.
14. Carefully remove projecting silicon with a shaving blade.
15. Clean glass ceramic thoroughly.
16. Replace Frontline strips.
