Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect installation and use causes in­juries and damages. Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future reference.
1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety

2.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Installation

• Always be careful when you move the
appliance because it is heavy. Always wear safety gloves.
• Do not pull the appliance by the handle.
• Keep the minimum distance from the
other appliances and units.
• Make sure that the appliance is installed below and adjacent safe structures.
• The sides of the appliance must stay adjacent to appliances or to units with the same height.
• Do not install the appliance on a plat­form.
• Do not install the appliance adjacent to a door or under a window. This pre­vents hot cookware to fall from the ap­pliance when the door or the window is opened.

• The appliance must be earthed.
• Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate agrees with the pow­er supply. If not, contact an electrician.
• Always use a correctly installed shock­proof socket.
• Do not use multi-plug adapters and ex­tension cables.
• Make sure not to cause damage to the mains plug and to the mains cable. Contact the Service or an electrician to change a damaged mains cable.
• Do not let mains cables to come in touch with the appliance door, specially when the door is hot.
• The shock protection of live and insula­ted parts must be fastened in such a way that it cannot be removed without tools.
• Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only at the end of the installa­tion. Make sure that there is access to the mains plug after the installation.
• If the mains socket is loose, do not connect the mains plug.
• Do not pull the mains cable to discon­nect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug.
• Use only correct isolation devices: line protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw type fuses removed from the holder), earth leakage trips and contactors.
• The electrical installation must have an isolation device which lets you discon­nect the appliance from the mains at all poles. The isolation device must have a contact opening width of minimum 3 mm.

• Set the cooking zone to “off” after use.
• Do not use the appliance as a work surface or as a storage surface.
• If the surface of the appliance is cracked, disconnect immediately the appliance from the power supply. This to prevent an electrical shock.

2.4 Internal light
• The type of light bulb or halogen lamp used for this appliance, is only for household appliances. Do not use it for house lighting.

2.5 Disposal

• Remove the door catch to prevent chil­dren and pets to get closed in the ap­pliance.

4. BEFORE FIRST USE
WARNING!

CAUTION!
To open the oven door, always hold the handle in the centre.
4.1 Initial Cleaning
• Remove all accessories and removable shelf supports (if applicable).
• Clean the appliance before first use.
Refer to the chapter "Care and cleaning".
4.2 Setting the time
You must set the time before you operate the oven.
When you connect the appliance to the electrical supply or after a power cut, the indicator for the Time of Day function flashes. Press the + or - button to set the correct time.
After approximately five seconds, the flashing stops and the display shows the time of day you set.
To change the time, press again and again until the indicator for the Time of Day function flash­es. You must not set the Duration
or End function at the same
time.
4.3 Preheating
Preheat the empty appliance to burn off the remaining grease.

Set the function and the maximum temperature.

Let the appliance operate for one hour.

Set the function and the maximum temperature.

Let the appliance operate for ten mi­nutes.

Set the function and the maximum temperature.

Let the appliance operate for ten mi-
nutes. Accessories can become hotter than usu­ally. The appliance can emit an odour and smoke. This is normal. Make sure that the airflow is sufficient.

Turn the knob to a necessary heat setting. The hob control indicator comes on.

To complete the cooking process, turn the knob to the “0” position.
Use the residual heat to decrease energy consumption. Deactivate the cooking zone approximately 5-10 minutes before the cooking process is completed.
5.2 Using the double zone
CAUTION!
To activate the double zone, turn the knob clockwise. Do not turn it through the stop position.

6. HOB - HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS
6.1 Cookware
• The bottom of the cookware must be as thick and flat as possible.
• Cookware made of enamelled steel and with aluminium or copper bottoms can cause the colour to change on the glass­ceramic surface.
6.2 Energy saving
• If it is possible, always put the lids on the cookware.

Risk of burns from residual heat! Let the appliance cool down.
Clean the appliance after each use. Always use cookware with clean bottom.
Scratches or dark stains on the glass-ceramic cause no effect on how the appliance operates.
To remove the dirt:
1.
Remove immediately: melted
plastic, plastic foil and food with
sugar. If not, the dirt can cause damage to the appliance. Use a special scraper for the glass. Put the scraper on the glass surface at an acute angle and move the blade across the surface.
Remove after the appliance is
sufficiently cool: limescale rings, water rings, fat stains and shiny metallic discolorations. Use a spe­cial cleaning agent for glass-ceram­ic or stainless steel.

Clean the appliance with a moist cloth and some detergent.
3.
At the end, rub the appliance dry with a clean cloth.

8.1 Activating and deactivating the appliance
1.
Turn the knob for the oven functions to an oven function.
2.
Turn the knob for the temperature to a temperature.
The temperature indicator comes on while the temperature in the appliance increases.
8.2 Safety thermostat
To prevent dangerous overheating (due to incorrect use of the appliance or defective components), the oven has a safety ther­mostat, which interrupts the power sup­ply. The oven switches back on again au­tomatically, when the temperature drops.

10.1 Inserting the oven accessories
Put in the slide-in accessories so that the double side edges are at the back of the oven and point down to the bottom. Push the slide-in accessories between the guide-bars of one of the oven levels.
Inserting the oven shelf and deep roasting pan together
Put the oven shelf on the deep roasting pan. Push the deep roasting pan between the guide-bars of one of the oven levels.

10.2 Inserting the baking tray
Put the tray in the centre of the oven cavi­ty, between the front and rear wall. This ensures that the heat can circulate in front of and behind the baking tray. Make sure that the tray is positioned like in the pic­ture, with the angled slope in the rear.
WARNING!
Do not push the baking tray all the way to the rear wall of the oven cavity. This prevents the heat from circulating around the tray. The food may be burnt, especially in the rear part of the tray.

CAUTION!
Use a deep baking tray for very moist cakes. Fruit juices can cause permanent stains on the enamel.
• The appliance has four shelf levels. Count the shelf levels from the bottom of the appliance floor.
• Moisture can condense in the appliance or on the glass doors. This is normal. Always stand back form the appliance when you open the appliance door while cooking. To decrease the con­densation, run the appliance for 10 mi­nutes before cooking.
• Wipe away moisture after every use of the appliance.
• Do not put the objects directly on the appliance floor and do not cover the components with aluminium foil when you cook. This can change the baking results and damage the enamel coat­ing.
11.1 Baking cakes
• Preheat the oven for approximately 10 minutes before baking.
• Do not open the oven door before 3/4 of the set cooking time is up.
• If you use two baking trays at the same time, keep one level empty between them.
11.2 Cooking meat and fish
• Do not cook meat with weight below 1 kg. Cooking too small quantities makes the meat too dry.
• Use a dripping pan for very fatty food to prevent the oven from stains that can be permanent.
• Leave the meat for approximately 15 minutes before carving so that the juice does not seep out.
• To prevent too much smoke in the oven during roasting, add some water into the dripping pan. To prevent the smoke condensation, add water each time af­ter it dries up.
11.3 Cooking times
Cooking times depend on the type of food, its consistency, and volume. Initially, monitor the performance when you cook. Find the best settings (heat set­ting, cooking time, etc.) for your cook­ware, recipes and quantities when you use this appliance.

• Clean the front of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and cleaning agent.
• To clean metal surfaces use a usual cleaning agent
• Clean the oven interior after each use. Thus you can remove dirt more easily and it does not burn on.
• Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven cleaner.
Removing the shelf supports

• Clean all oven accessories (with a soft cloth with warm water and cleaning agent) after each use and let them dry.
• If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them using an aggressive agents, sharp edged objects or dish­washer. It can destroy nonstick coating!
12.1 Shelf supports
You can remove the shelf supports to clean the side walls.
1.
Pull the front of the shelf support away from the side wall.
2.
Pull the rear end of the shelf support away from the side wall and remove it.

12.2 Cleaning the oven door
The oven door has two panels of glass in­stalled one behind the other. To make the cleaning easier remove the oven door.
Removing the oven door and the glass panel
Valid with telescopic runners:
The retaining pins on the tele­scopic shelf runners must point to the front!
WARNING!
The oven door can close if you try to remove the internal panel of glass when the door is still assem­bled.
WARNING!
Make sure that the glass panels are cool, before you clean the glass door. There is risk that the glass breaks.
WARNING!
When the door glass panels are damaged or have scratches, the glass becomes weak and can break. To prevent this you must replace them. For more instruc­tions, contact your local Service Centre.

Open the door fully and hold the two door hinges.
2.
Lift and turn the levers on the two hinges.

Close the oven door to the first open­ing position (halfway). Then pull for­ward and remove it from its seat.
4.
Place the door on a stable surface protected by a soft cloth. Use a screwdriver to remove 2 screws from bottom edge of door.
Do not lose the screws.

Clean the glass panel with water and soap. Dry it carefully.
5.
Use a spatula made of wood or plas­tic or equivalent to open the inner door. Hold the outer door, and push the inner door against the top edge of the door.
6.
Lift the inner door.
7.
Clean inner side of the door.

Only clean the glass panel with water and a soap. Abrasive clean­ing agents, stain removers and sharp objects (e.g. knives or scra­pers) can cause damage to the glass.

12.3 Removing the drawer
The drawer below the oven can be re­moved for cleaning.

Pull the drawer out until it stops.
2.
Slowly lift the drawer.
3.
Pull the drawer out fully.
Installing the drawer
To install the drawer, do the above steps in the opposite sequence.
WARNING!
Do not keep flammable items (such as cleaning materials, plas­tic bags, oven gloves, paper or cleaning sprays) in the drawer. When you use the oven, the draw­er can become hot. There is a risk of fire.
When the cleaning procedure is comple­ted, insert the oven door. To do so, do the steps in opposite way.
12.4 Oven lamp
WARNING!
Be careful when you change the oven lamp. There is a risk of elec­trical shock.
Before you change the oven lamp:
• Deactivate the oven.
• Remove the fuses in the fuse box or deactivate the circuit breaker.
Put a cloth on the bottom of the oven to prevent damage to the oven light and glass cover.
Replacing the oven lamp
1.
You can find the lamp glass cover at the back of the cavity.
Turn the lamp glass cover counter­clockwise to remove it.
2.
Clean the glass cover.
3.
Replace the oven lamp with an appli­cable 300 °C heat-resistant oven lamp.
Use the same oven lamp type.
4.
Install the glass cover.
