5Operating Instructions
Safety instructions6
How to avoid damage to the appliance
• Do not line the oven with aluminium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on
the oven floor, as the heat that builds up will damage the oven enamel.
• Fruit juices dripping from the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able
to remove. For very moist cakes, use a deep tray.
• Do not put any strain on the oven door when open.
• Never pour water directly into the oven when it is hot. This could cause damage to
the enamel and discolouration.
• Rough handling, especially around the edges of the front panel, can cause the glass
to break.
• Do not store any flammable materials inside the oven. These could ignite when the
oven is switched on.
• Do not store any moist foods inside the oven. This could damage the oven enamel.
• After switching off the cooling fan, do not keep uncovered dishes in the oven. Mois-
ture may condense in the oven interior or on the glass doors and may get into the
units.
3Note on enamel coating
Changes in the colour of the oven’s enamel coating as a result of use do not affect the
appliance’s suitability for normal and correct use. They therefore do not constitute a
defect in the sense of the warranty law.

Non-stick accessories
To ensure that this accessory remains stable and permanently easy to clean, you
should follow these instructions:
• Do not put accessories into the oven without any food.
• Do not place accessories on hot cooking surfaces, as the non-stick properties
can be damaged by overheating.
Pizza stone
Now you can cook pizzas just like those from the pizzeria in your oven at home.
The secret is the pizza stone. It is first heated up in the oven so that it can give
off the stored heat during the baking process. The porous surface can absorb
moisture which results in a particularly crusty pizza.
1Do not grease the surface of the pizza stone.
To get the right result, follow these steps carefully:
1. Prepare the pizza dough (e.g. as in our recipe suggestions, but you can also use
ready-made dough or pizza base mixtures).
2. Place the pizza stone on the oven shelf, insert them both into the 4th/5th oven
position from the top.
3. Pre-heat the oven until the temperature pilot light goes out. At the same time
set:
Oven functionsPrea-heatingBaking
CONVENTIONAL275°C approx. 30 min.275°C approx.12 min.
FAN BAKING250°C approx. 30 min.250°C approx.10 min.
4. Prepare the ingredients for the topping.
5. After the dough has risen, roll out the dough with a rolling pin into the desired
shape (no bigger than the size of the wooden board) and create an edge.
6. Flour the wooden board or cover it with baking paper (don’t let the baking paper go into the oven with the pizza).
7. Lay the rolled out dough on the board.
8. Quickly top the pizza on the board with the prepared ingredients.
3Don’t leave the finished pizza lying on the wooden board for long, as oth-
erwise the dough can become soggy and can’t be slid off the board!
9. Now slide the pizza onto the pre-heated pizza stone:
– support the board on the pizza stone
– pull the board back sharply
10. Close the oven door, bake for approx. 8-15 minutes.
When the pizza is ready, use the wooden board again to take the pizza off the
stone.
If you would like to bake several pizzas one after another, re-heat the pizza
stone each time until the temperature pilot light goes out (approx. 5-10 minutes).
Tips:
• If you like pizza with lots of topping, select a lower temperature and a slightly
longer time (e.g. 200°C and about 15 minutes).
• For pizza that doesn’t have so much topping, you can set a high temperature
and a short time (e.g. 250°C and about 8 minutes).

Pre-heating with the RAPID HEAT UP function
After an oven function has been selected, with the additional function RAPID
HEAT UP the pre-heating time can be shortened.
Pre-heating the empty oven is unnecessary for most baking and roasting sessions, because the temperature set is generally reached in a short time (see Tables and Tips).
We recommend pre-heating the empty oven using the RAPID HEAT UP function
for biscuits that quickly spread into one another, bread rolls and Swiss rolls.
1Important: Do not put the food to be cooked into the oven, until RAPID HEAT
UP is completed and the oven is operating using the desired function.

Cleaning and care
1
Warning: First switch off the appliance and let it cool down before carrying out
any cleaning.
Warning: For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam blasters or
high-pressure cleaners.
Attention: Do not use any corrosive cleaning fluids, sharp objects or stain
removers.
Do not clean the glass oven door with abrasive fluids or metal scrapers, which
could scratch the surface. The glass could crack and shatter.
Outside of the appliance
• Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and a solution of hot water
and washing up liquid.
• For metal fronts, use normal commercially available cleaning agents.
• Please do not use scouring agents and abrasive sponges.
Oven interior
1Warning: make sure the oven is switched off and has cooled down before
cleaning.
3Clean the appliance after each use. In this way, dirt is easier to clean off and is
not allowed to burn on. Residues that are not removed may cause changes to
the surface colour when PYROLUXE MENU is used.
1. The oven light switches on automatically when the oven door is opened.
2. After every use, wipe the oven with a solution of water and washing-up liquid
and allow to dry.
3In the event of stubborn dirt, clean using PYROLUXE MENU.
1Important! If you use an oven spray, please follow the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions exactly.
Accessories
Wash all slide-in units (shelf unit, baking tray, shelf support rails etc.) after each
use and dry well. Soak briefly to make them easier to clean.
49Cleaning and care
Non-stick accessories
Clean accessories with a soft sponge or cloth in hot water and washing-up liquid.
3Bright spots in the coating do not mean that the surface is damaged.
1Important: Do not use any aggressive or scouring cleaning agents, spray
oven cleaners, steel soap pads or hard objects such as knives or sharpedged scrapers. These destroy the coating.
1Important: Do not clean these accessories in the dishwasher. The non-stick
properties would be lost as a result.

3Advice on cookers with metal fronts:
Because of the cooler surface at the front of the cooker, opening the oven
door during (or just after) baking or roasting may cause the glass to
steam up.

supply.
The oven has an easily accessible terminal block which is marked as
follows:
Letter L-Live terminal

It is necessary that you install a double pole switch between the oven and the
electricity supply (mains), with a minimum gap of 3mm
between the switch contacts and of a type suitable for the required load in compliance with the current regulations.
The switch must not break the yellow and green earth cable at any point.
Important
After installation and connecting, the cable must be placed so that it cannot at
any point reach a temperature of more than 50°C above the ambient temperature.
