8.
Remove the laundry.
Note!
The different type of cottons (towelling,
sheets, shirts, and so on) or any laundry
items rolling up during the spinning
phase may result in partial dryness.
In the exceptional case that at the end of
the cycle the laundry remains slightly
wet, we suggest that you unfold the rolled up items, redistribute them evenly in
the drum and select an additional drying
cycle of 20-30 minutes.
10.2 NON-STOP programme:
Washing and Timed drying
The recommended load size is 3 kg for
cotton and 2 kg for synthetic.
It is also possible to dry up to 4
kg of cotton items (see the «Drying Programme » table).
CAUTION!
Do not use a dosing device/ball
when carrying out a washing
and drying programme.
1.
Load the laundry.
2.
Add detergent and fabric softener.
3.
Switch the machine on: turn the selector dial to the required washing
programme/fabric.
4.
Press the relevant buttons to set the
required options.
If possible, do not set a spin
speed lower than that proposed
by the appliance to avoid too
long a drying time therefore saving energy. In any case the lowest values you can select are 900
r.p.m. for cottons and synthetics
and 700 r.p.m. for delicate fabrics. The reduction of the spin

speed is only possible after selecting drying.
5.
Press the button 6 to set the drying
time. When selecting a «non-stop
programme» the pilot lights A and B
illuminate.
The DRYING TIME value appears on
the display for some seconds, then
the entire duration of the washing
and drying cycle appears.
If you set a washing programme
and only 10 minutes of drying cycle by pressing the button 6, the
total duration of the cycles displayed includes also the unrolling and the cooling phase.
6.
Press the button 8 to start the programme. After the programme has
started, the time remaining is updated every minute.
7.
At the end of the programme, follow
the indications given in the previous
chapter. Then, turn the selector to
the O position to switch the machine
off.
8.
Remove the laundry.
10.3 Fluff in the garments
During the WASHING AND/OR DRYING
PHASE, certain types of fabric, as
sponge-cloth, wool, sweatshirt, could release fluff.
The released fluff could stick to the fabrics during the next cycle.
This drawback increases with technical
fabrics.
To prevent the lint in your clothes, it is
recommended:
• To do not wash dark fabrics after you
washed and dried light colored fabrics
(new sponge, wool, sweatshirt especially) and vice versa.
• To air-dry this type of fabrics when
they are washed the first time.
• To clean the filter.
• Perform one or more rinse cycles to
wash the drum between the washing
and drying of fabrics with different colors.
• After the drying phase, thoroughly
clean the empty drum, the gasket and
the door with a wet rag.

11. HINTS AND TIPS
11.1 The laundry load
• Divide the laundry in: white, coloured,
synthetics, delicates and wool.
• Obey the washing instructions that are
on the laundry care labels.
• Do not wash together white and coloured items.
• Some coloured items can discolour
with the first wash. We recommend
that you wash them separately for the
first times.
• Button up pillowcases, close zippers,
hooks and poppers. Tie up belts.
• Empty the pockets and unfold the
items.
• Turn inside out multilayered fabrics,
wool and items with painted illustrations.
• Remove hard stains.
• Wash with a special detergent heavy
soil stains.
• Be careful with the curtains. Remove
the hooks or put the curtains in a
washing bag or pillowcase.
• Do not wash in the appliance :
– Laundry without hems or with cuts
– Underwired bras.
– Use a washing bag to wash small
items.
• A very small load can cause balance
problems with the spin phase. If this
occurs, adjust manually the items in
the tub and start the spin phase again.
11.2 Stubborn stains
For some stains, water and detergent is
not sufficient.
We recommend that you remove these
stains before you put the items in the
appliance.
Special stain removers are available. Use
the special stain remover that is applicable to the type of stain and fabric.
11.3 Detergents and additives
• Only use detergents and additives
specially made for washing machines.
• Do not mix different types of detergents.
• To help the environment, do not use
more than the correct quantity of detergent.
• Obey the instructions that you find on
the on packaging of these products.
• Use the correct products for the type
and colour of the fabric, the programme temperature and the level of
soil.
• If you use liquid detergents, do not set
the prewash phase.
• If your appliance has not the detergent dispenser with the flap device,
add the liquid detergents with a dosing ball.
11.4 Water hardness
If the water hardness in your area is high
or moderate, we recommend that you
use a water softener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a
water softener.
To know the water hardness in your area,
contact your local water authority.
Obey the instructions that you find on
the packaging of the products.
Equivalent scales measure the water
hardness:
• German degrees (°dH).
• French degrees (°TH).
• mmol/l (millimol for each litre - international unit for the hardness of water).
• Do a check if the connection of the
drain hose is correct. Refer to installation chapter for more information.
• For the maximum laundry load of the
drying programmes, refer to the drying programmes table.
Do no not set a drying programme for
this laundry:
– Very delicate items.
– Synthetic curtains.
– Woollen and silk items.
– Pieces of clothing with metal inserts.
– Nylon stockings.
– Quilts.
–Bed covers.
– Duvets.
–Anoraks.
– Sleeping bags
– Fabrics with residue of hair sprays, nail
solvents or similar.
– Garments with foam-rubber or materi-
als similar to foam-rubber.
= The drying cycle is at reduced
temperature
•
= The item can not be tumble
dried.
11.7 Drying cycle duration
The drying time can change depending
on:
• speed of the last spin
• dryness level
• type of laundry
• weight of the load size
GENERAL TIPS
Refer to the «Drying programmes» table
to find the average drying times.
The experience will help you to dry the
laundry in a more correct way. Take note
of the duration drying time of the cycles
done before.
To avoid the static charge at the end of
the drying cycle:
• Use fabric conditioner in the washing
cycle.
• Use special fabric conditioner for tumble dryers.
When the drying programme is completed remove the laundry in a short time.
11.8 Additional drying
11.6 Garment labels
When you dry ther laundry, obey the indications on the labels of the manufacturers:
•
= The item can be tumble dried
•
= The drying cycle is at high tem-
perature
If, at the end of the drying programme,
the laundry is still damp, set a short drying cycle again.
WARNING!
To avoid creases of fabrics or
shrinks of the clothing do not
over dry the laundry.
