Safety precautions for models: GH L2-4.5, GH L3-4.5/L30-4.5, GH
GL 4-4.5/GL40-4.5

These safety precautions are an integral part
of User manual for the Electrolux built-in
ranges GH L2-4.5, GH L3-4.5 and GH
GL4-4.5.
For your safety and correct operation of the
appliance, read this manual carefully before
installation and use. Always keep these in­structions with the appliance even if you
move or sell it. Users must fully know the op­eration and safety features of the appliance.
The manufacturer is not responsible for dam­ages caused by incorrect installation and
use.

ONLY use this appliance:

• As oven for cooking, frying, slow cooking
and grilling.

• Fixed installed, indoors.

NEVER use this appliance:

• For heating purposes or other purposes
than described above.

• In case or suspicion of defect/damage.

Children and vulnerable people safety

• This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given super­vision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance.

• Keep all packaging well away from chil­dren. There is risk of suffocation.

• Keep children away from the appliance.
There is risk of injury or other permanent
disability.

During use

• This appliance is intended for domestic
cooking only. It is not designed for com­mercial or industrial purposes.

• Ensure a good ventilation around the ap­pliance. A poor air supply could cause lack
of oxygen.

• When in use the appliance will produce
heat and moisture in the room in which it
has been installed. Ensure there is a con­tinuous air supply, keeping air vents in
good condition or installing a cooker hood
with a venting hose.

• When using the appliance for a long period
of time, the ventilation should be improved,
by opening a window or increasing the ex­tractor speed.

• Ensure the control knobs are in the OFF
position when not in use or before remov­ing hot cooking utensils.

• Close main gas tap behind lower flap on
longer absence.

• Do not cover rear air outlet (only for model
GHL2-4.5).

• During use the appliance becomes hot.
Care should be taken to avoid touching
heating elements inside the oven. There is
a danger of burns!

• Touch hot cooking utensils only with an
oven cloths or thermo gloves

• Always stand back from the oven when
opening the oven door, to allow any build
up of steam or heat to release.

• When using other electrical appliances,
ensure the cable does not come into con­tact with the hot surfaces of the appliance.

• Unstable or misshapen pans should not be
used on the hob burners as unstable pans
can cause an accident by tipping or spill­age.

•

To facilitate ignition, light the burners
before placing pans on the grid . After

having lit the burners check that the flame
is regular.

• Always lower the flame or turn it off before
removing the pan.

• Never leave the appliance unattended
when cooking with oil and fats. Do not
overheat a fat/oil - it can inflame: Risk of
fire! Put fire out with extinguishing cloth or
foam extinguisher.

• This appliance should be kept clean at all
times. A build-up of fats or foodstuffs could
result in a fire.

• Never use plastic dishes in the oven or on
the hob burners. Never line any part of the
oven with aluminium foil.

• Use only heat resistant baking/cooking
utensils, follow manufacturer's advices.

• Perishable food, plastic items and areosols
may be affected by heat and should not be
stored above the appliance.

• Never use steam or high pressure steam
cleaners to clean the appliance.

• Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or
sharp metal scraper to clean the oven door
glass since they can scratch the surface,
which may result in shattering of the glass.

• Do not mechanically weight open oven
door, do not stand or sit on it.

• There is a risk of injury in the area of the
ovens door hinges.

In case of smell of gas:

1. Do not light fire, do not smoke.

Do not activate any electrical switches,
devices, etc.
Do not use any telephone in the same
house.

2. Close main gas tap and all burner regu-

lators, no other manipulations!

3. Open doors and windows, air the room.
Call gas supplying emergency service
from outside the house (possibly Electro­lux service center).
Do not alarm occupants by telephone or
door bell.

Assembly/Installation:

• Distance cooking hollow to lateral tall up-

board min. 200 mm, to wall behind device
min. 50 mm and above device min. 650
mm.

Electric supply:

• The electric contact-voltage proof must be
ensured by installation.

• Screws of the saucepan carrier holder
must be firmly tightened, because they
serve as protective earth connection.

• Mains cable may not cling to back wall of
device or other hot spots.

• Used wall socket (230 V, 50 Hz, min. 10 A)
must be installed by a qualified person and
conforming to standards. The wall socket
has to be accessible.

• Do not lay mains cable of other devices
over gas burner or squeeze between oven
door.

Recommendation: Let have device connec­ted via residual current operated device 30
mA.

Gas connection:

• Let have connection and commissioning,
as well as change over to another type of
gas have made according to regional reg­ulations by gas supplying company or li­censed installer.

• Only a qualified person is allowed to work
on gas leading screw fittings.

• Change over to liquefied petroleum gas:
Affix adhesive label corresponding to noz­zle set at type plate.

• Change back to natural gas: Reseal full
burning nozzle, small burning adjusting
nozzle and initial air screw.

Defect:

• Close all regulators on the device. Close
main gas tap. For all kind of repairs charge
Electrolux customer service or other ex­perts.

• To avoid dangers, let have defective mains
cable replaced only by customer service.

• Do not open housing (except oven door
and lower flap).

• Do not use the appliance if warning lamp
operates. It shows breakdown of the oven
cooling system. Turn off the appliance im­mediately! Call service.

Service/Maintenance:

• Close all regulators on the device. Close
main gas tap. For all kind of repairs charge
Electrolux customer service or other ex­perts.

• Before replacing the oven lamp disconnect
device from mains, unplug mains plug or
interrupt mains fuse.

• Do not clean device with steam or high­pressure device. Do not use combustible
cleaning agents.

• Do not insert objects into the device
through the ventilating slots.

Spare parts:

• Use only genuine spare part and accesso­ries.

• Si sospecha que puede tener defectos o
daños.

Seguridad de niños y personas
vulnerables

• Este aparato puede ser utilizado por niños
de más de ocho años de edad y personas
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o
mentales estén disminuidas o que carez­can de la experiencia y conocimientos su­ficientes para manejarlo, siempre que

cuenten con supervisión o instrucciones
referentes al uso del aparato de manera
segura y si comprenden los riesgos que
existen. Los niños no deben jugar con el
aparato.

• Mantenga los materiales de embalaje ale­jados de los niños. Existe riesgo de asfixia.

• Mantenga a los niños alejados del aparato.
Existe el riesgo de que sufran heridas o in-

capacidad física permanente.

Durante el uso

• Este aparato se ha diseñado exclusiva­mente para cocción doméstica. No está
preparada para fines comerciales o indus­triales.

• Cerciórese de que existe buena ventila­ción en torno al aparato. Una ventilación
insuficiente puede provocar falta de oxí­geno.

• Durante su funcionamiento, el aparato ge­nerará calor y humedad en la habitación
donde se haya instalado. Asegúrese de
que existe ventilación continua, para lo
que debe mantener los respiraderos en
buen estado o instalar una campana ex­tractora con un tubo de salida de aire.

• Si utiliza el aparato durante un tiempo pro­longado debe mejorar la ventilación; abra
una ventana o aumente la velocidad del
extractor.

• Compruebe que los mandos se encuen­tran en posición de apagado cuando no
utilice el aparato o antes de retirar utensi­lios de cocción calientes.

• Antes de una ausencia prolongada, cierre
la llave de gas situada detrás de la protec­ción inferior.

• No recubra la salida de aire posterior (sólo
en el caso del modelo GHL2-4.5).

• El aparato se calienta durante el uso. Pres­te mucha atención para no tocar las resis­tencias del interior del horno. Existe riesgo
de quemaduras.

• Para tocar utensilios de cocción calientes,
utilice siempre paños de cocina o guantes
térmicos.

• Aléjese del horno cuando abra la puerta,
para permitir que se disipe el vapor o el
calor acumulado.

• Si utiliza otros aparatos eléctricos, cerció­rese de que el cable no entra en contacto
con las superficies calientes del aparato.

• No deben utilizarse cacerolas poco esta­bles o deformadas sobre los quemadores
de la encimera, ya que pueden provocar
vertidos o salpicaduras y causar daños.

• Para obtener la llama con facilidad,

encienda los quemadores antes de
colocar los recipientes sobre la placa .

Después de encender los quemadores,
compruebe que la llama es uniforme.

• Baje el fuego o apáguelo antes de retirar
los recipientes.

• Nunca deje el aparato sin supervisión
cuando cocine con grasas o aceite. No
caliente en exceso grasas ni aceites; pue­den arder: ¡Peligro de incendio! Apague el
fuego con un paño que lo sofoque o con
un extintor de espuma.

• Este aparato se debe mantener siempre
limpio. La acumulación de grasa u otros
restos de alimentos podría provocar un in­cendio.

• Nunca emplee platos de plástico en el hor­no ni sobre los quemadores de la encime­ra. No cubra ninguna parte del horno con
papel de aluminio.

• Utilice sólo utensilios para horno o cocción
resistentes al calor, siguiendo las instruc­ciones del fabricante.

• Los alimentos perecederos, los objetos de
plástico y los aerosoles pueden verse
afectados por el calor y no se deben al­macenar sobre el aparato.

• No utilice vapor ni sistemas de vapor a alta
presión para limpiar el aparato.

• No utilice limpiadores abrasivos ásperos ni
rascadores de metal afilado para limpiar el
cristal de la puerta del horno, ya que po­drían arañar la superficie y tal vez provocar
la consiguiente ruptura.

• No fuerce la puerta del horno, no se siente
ni se ponga de pie sobre ella.

• Existe el riesgo de sufrir lesiones en la par­te de las bisagras del horno.

Si se percibe olor a gas:

1. No encienda fuegos ni fume.

No accione interruptores ni dispositivos
eléctricos.
No utilice el teléfono dentro de la vivienda.

2. Cierre la llave del gas y los reguladores de

los quemadores, no lleve a cabo mani­pulación alguna.

3. Abra puertas y ventanas y airee la habi­tación. Llame al servicio de emergencia
de la compañía de gas desde el exterior
de la vivienda (si es posible, llame a un
centro de servicio técnico de Electrolux).
No alarme a los ocupantes por teléfono
ni llamando a la puerta.
