higher, the “ALARM” button is illuminated and starts flashing. The “ALARM” flash will stop if the refrigerator temperature falls
to +11°C or lower, the wine compartment temperature falls to +18°C or lower and, there is no freezer temperature warning.
When the freezer temperature rises up to –11°C or higher, the “ALARM” button flashes and sends out alarm beeping.

Cleaning and maintenance
1.Defrosting
The freezer, refrigerator and wine compartment are all automatically defrosted. The melted water collects at the back wall of
the refrigerator and flows into the catch tray at the top of the compressor and evaporates through the heat generated by the
compressor.
2. Cleaning
The appliances should be cleaned regularly to avoid unpleasant odours.
Unplug the appliances.
Clean the applianceswith a soft cloth and lukewarm water or litmusless cleanser. After cleaning wipe with dry cloth and rub
dry.
Notice:
Never wash the appliance exterior with water in order not to affect its insulation performance. Never clean the appliances
with boiled water, abrasive cleaning agents, acid, alkali, gasoline, benzene, acid cleanser, hard brush and so forth.
Never use a mechanical device or by other means to accelerate the defrosting.
3.Cleaning the drainage hole
The humidity in summer is high. With the refrigerator door being frequently opened, there is relatively more water from
defrosting. Vegetable leaves, packing bags and other residues sometimes flow into the drainage hole with the melted water,
which will block up the drainage hole easily. Please clean the drainage hole regularly as a result.
To clean the drainage hole, put the cleaning stick into the drainage hole, turn around and pull repeatedly to clean
thoroughly.
Leave the cleaning stick in the drainage hole to prevent bulky item from jamming the drainage hole.
4. Cleaning the gasket
Pull the gasket upward from a corner and pull the whole of it from around.
Clean the gasket with litmusless cleanser, rub it dry with dry cloth or dry it in shades;
To replace the gasket, embed the four corners into the groove first, then press the whole of it back into the groove from both
ends.
Notice:
Please do not embed the gasket from the middle because this will outstretch it and make it hard to be replaced.
5. The method for replacing illuminating lamps:
Unplug the appliance first. Press the bayonet at the front of the lamp cover
and pull down the lamp cover.
Hold the end of the bulb and pull the old bulb out.
Put the new bulb on (5W fluorescent bulb) and place the cover again.
Notice: Be sure to disconnect power supply before you change bulb.
12
6. Switching the appliances off
It is suggested to keep the appliances in operation even though there is no food in store; otherwise the service life of the
appliances will be shortened.
If the appliances are to be kept idle for a long period of time, please cut off the power supply, clean the appliances following
the above instructions, dry them in the air and place it in a dry and ventilated room.
Please leave a gap between the two cabinets in order to avoid the gasket sticking to the cabinet and mildew.

Detecting & correcting malfunctions
1. False Malfunction
The followings are normal:
Bubbling or splashing noises in the appliances:
This happens when refrigerant flows into thin tubes.
Frost at the back of the refrigerator interior:
This is because the refrigeration pipeline clings to the back of the refrigerator interior. When the compressor starts, the
temperature in this compartment is lower than 0 C. Frost comes into being as a result but automatic defrosting will
happen when the compressor stops running.
The freezer door frame feels warm:
This is to prevent the freezer door from fogging and being frozen.
The side panels and the back panel of the appliances feels warm:
The average temperature of the heat emission condensers on the side and back panels is around 55 C when the appliances are in operation.
The appliances make noise of cracking
There is sharp temperature fluctuation when the appliances are switched on or off, which resulted in expanding and
shrinking of materials to different extents, hence shift of materials between each other.
The compressor heats up:
The compressor temperature could reach as high as 90 C when it runs.
There is foggy coagulation on the exterior of the appliances:
It is because of the high humidity and it would be fine to just wipe the fog off.
The appliances make noise of clatter:
It is normal when the solenoid valves magnetize.
2. Detecting and correcting malfunctions
If the appliances are not in normal operation, please check the following before turning to the service agent:
(You are supposed to pay for the service if your appliances are out of the warranty period.
The combination fridge-freezer stop running.
If the plug is properly connected with the socket.
If the power is cut off or if the fuse has blown.
If the power supply is restored within 5 minutes after a power failure.
Both the freezer and the refrigerator are not in operation
If the electrical connection between the two cabinets is defective.
The compressor keeps in operation without a break
If the temperature in the freezer, wine compartment or refrigerator has been set too low.
If the door(s) has(have) been closed properly.
If there is any heat source or direct sunshine nearby.
If the foods stored inside have been too much which has affected the cold air circulation.
you have put food which is too warm to be stored in the appliances.
The temperature of stored food is not satisfying
If there has been too much food stored.
If the door(s) is(are) properly closed or been opened too frequently.
If the appliances are near any hot source.
If the temperature has been set too high.Food is frozen in the refrigerator
If the refrigerator temperature has been set too low.
If the easy-to-be-frozen food has been placed close to the back of the refrigerator interior.
11
Page 12
Big noise
If the packing chassis has been dismounted.
If the appliances are placed level and stable.
If the back of the appliances has touched the wall.
Notice:
Frequent alarm
If you have pressed any key to switch off the warning.
If the door(s) has(have) been properly closed.
Notice:
If your appliances are still not in normal operation other than the checking and correction following the above instructions,
please contact the authorized Service Center.
