Energy savings tips:
• The room temperature affects the appliance's consumption of electric current.
Therefore, avoid placing it near sources of heat or in direct rays of sunlight. If possible, choose a place that has a room temperature below the climate class indicated.
• Make sure there is sufficient ventilation.Do not cover the ventilation slits.
• Do not cover the ventilation slits.
• Do not set a temperature lower than necessary.
Control screen
• Let hot food products cool to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator.
• Put liquids inside covered containers only.
• Avoid keeping the refrigerator open unless it is necessary.
• Clean the condensate regularly (see Defrosting and Cleaning).
• Too thick a layer of frost causes needless consumption of electric current. Small deposits of frost can be removed from time to time with a plastic scraper.

The function turns on by pressing the SUPERCOOL
button (I). The yellow indicator (H) lights up.
It is possible to stop this function at any time by pres-
sing the SUPERCOOL button once again. The yellow indicator turns off.
If the SUPERCOOL function does not stop manually, it
is automatically cut off electronically after about 6 hours.
The SUPERCOOL function is deactivated if the electric current is cut off!
Refrigerator compartment equipment Inner door
The shelves of the inner door can be removed to be moved or cleaned.
Shelves
Temperature
There are different temperature zones in the refrigerator compartment. The warmest zone is at the top, and the coldest zone is above the cover of the vegetable bins. The internal temperature is influenced by the following factors:
Room temperature
How often the door is opened
Amount of food products stored
Appliance setting
Switching off the appliance
To switch off the appliance, keep the EIN/AUS (ON/OFF) button pressed until the temperature indicator turns off.
The selected temperature setting is stored, even if the electric current is cut off.
The distance between shelves can be altered as one likes. To remove the shelves, lift from the bottom and pull forward until they move upwards or downwards and can be pulled out. Put the shelves back in the desired position.
Bottle holder
The bottle holder clipped onto a shelf is used for storing bottles and cans. To remove the bottle holder, lift the glass shelf below and gently remove it. Then remove the bottle holder and put the glass shelf back in.

Use
Air humidity regulator
There is an adjustable ventilation grid in front of the support surface found above the fruit and vegetable bins.
The opening of the ventilation slits can be continuously adjusted.
Right regulator: ventilation slits open.
Left regulator: ventilation slits closed.
When the ventilation slits are open, less air humidity forms in the fruit and vegetable bins because more air circulates.
Using the freezer compartment
Important!
Do not open the refrigerator if the electric current is cut off! Foods do not spoil if the appliance is full and the cutoff lasts a short time (see further information under “Preservation time in case of failure” in the catalogue or advertising material). If the power cutoff continues, eat the thawed foods within a short time. Preservation time drops when the temperature of the frozen foods increases.
Starting the appliance
See “Starting the refrigerator compartment”
Temperature adjustment
To set the temperature, use the relevant buttons for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. See “Using the refrigerator compartment” The right temperature for frozen foods and those to be frozen is -18°C.
SUPERFROST function
When the ventilation slits are closed, the natural content of humidity of the food products in the fruit and vegetable bins is kept longer.
Storing foods
Make sure that cold air can circulate when storing foods. The products to be cooled must never be direct contact with the rear wall inside the refrigerator compartment. They can freeze and partially remain stuck to the wall when removed, thus preventing the dew from flowing regularly. Place foods such as cheese, cold cuts, fruit, vegetables, previously cooked foods and prepared salads inside containers and cover them. In this way their natural freshness and aroma will be maintained. Foods must be stored according to the various temperature zones.
Butter, cheese
- in the inner door inside the butter dish and cheese holder.
Eggs
- in the inner door
Fruit, vegetables, lettuce
- in the vegetable bins
Cold cuts, meat
- in the bottom zone (first shelf or covering above the vegetable bin)
Dairy products, preserves, jars
- in the top zone or in the inner door
Bottles / tubes
- in the inner door
The SUPERFROST function speeds up the freezing of fresh food products while at the same time protecting those already inside the compartment from undesirable heating.
- The function turns on by pressing the SUPERFROST button (G). The yellow indicator (F) lights up.
- It is possible to manually stop this function at any time by pressing the SUPERFROST button once again. The yellow indicator turns off.
- If the SUPERFROST function does not stop manually, it is automatically cut off electronically after about 24 hours. The yellow indicator turns off.
The SUPERFROST function is deactivated if the electric current is cut off!

Temperature of the freezer compartment
The internal temperature is influenced by the following factors:
- Room temperature
- How often the door is opened
- Amount of food products stored
- Appliance setting Caution: Check the state of the frozen foods if the freezer compartment heats up.
Freezing foods
To freeze foods, turn on the SUPERFROST function 24 hours before freezing. Just 4-6 hours are needed for a lower quantity.
Freezer compartment equipment
Making ice cubes
The appliance lets you make ice cubes as well. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 and place it in the freezer compartment.
Put the tray under running water in order to easily remove the ice cubes.
Maintenance
Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation.
This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its
cooling unit maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorised technicians.
Defrosting
Refrigerator compartment
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment is automatic.
The defrost water drains out through a trough into a container at the back of the appliance, above the motor compressor, where it evaporates.
It is important to periodically clean the defrost water
drain hole.
18
Page 8
Freezer compartment
Cleaning
Remove the frost with a plastic scraper,
Whenever the thickness of the frost exceeds 5 mm
complete defrosting should be carried out.
Prooceed as follows:
Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers
of newspaper and put it in a cool place.
Pull out the plug from the wall socket or turn the
ther-mostat knob to the «O» setting.
Leave the door open, place a basin on the top shelf of
the refrigerator compartment, under the drain hole, remove the plug as shown in the figure.
Never use metal objects for cleaning your
appliance as it may get damaged. NEVER use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as these will damage the surface and leave a strong odour.
Clean the inside with warm water and bicarbonate of soda. Rinse and dry thoroughly..
When the appliance is not in use
Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply. Empty all foods and clean the appliance, leaving the doors ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.
Changing the light bulb
Should the interior light fail to work, first switch off
the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply.
When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thor-
oughly and refit the plug.
Turn the thermostat knob back to the required set-
ting or replace the plug in the power socket.
Reload the previously removed food into the com-
partment.
Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the evaporator as you could damage it.
Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process
other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Press on the rear hook and at the same time slide the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Replace the lamp with one of the same power (the maximum power is shown on the light
diffuser).

Something not Working
Problems may be due to causes which can easily be solved before calling the Technical Service. Please follow these instructions:
Symptom
Door does not close
It is too warm inside the refrigerator
It is too cold inside the refrigerator.
The compressor works continuously.
There is water inside/outside the refrigerator.
Water comes out on the floor.
Noises
Solution
Weight surpasses the storage limit of the door shelf so spread weight more evenly or take some products out.The appliance is not properly installed. Please look in the “Building-in” section.
Set a lower temperature. Distribute the food products to allow cold air to circulate around them. Make sure that the door is completely closed and that the insulating strip is complete and clean. The temperature where the cabinet is placed is above normal room temperature.
Set a warmer temperature.
Turn the thermostat knob to a lower number. The temperature where the cabinet is placed is above normal
room temperature. Check that the ventilation is sufficient and that the ventilation openings are unobstructed. The cause could be the introduction of large quantities of food and/or frequent opening/closing of the door.
Sometimes is normal. During automatic defrosting frost thaws on the cooling plate.
Place the drain hose at the back of the cabinet above the drain bowl.
Sometimes this is normal. Temperature control may cause clicking sounds when the system is connected or disconnected. The injected cooling gas may produce a gurgling sound while passing through the tubes. The motor may cause a humming noise and/or slight bumping. The insulation material used has a tendency to slighly increase noise levels, how ever it allows for much better insulation and a lower energy consumption.
Customer service and spare parts
If you cannot find the remedy for a malfunction in these operating instructions, please contact your dealer or our customer service department and consult the Guarantee card. Selective ordering of replacement parts can save unnecessary travel and costs. For this reason always provide the following appliance information:
• Model Name
• Erzeugnis-Nummer (PNC)
• Serial Number (S-No.)
This information can be found on the rating plate inside the cabenit on the left hand wall. W e recommend that you enter this information here, so that it is handy if needed.
Technical specifications
The technical data is indicated in the rating plate on the left side inside the appliance.
If there is a power failure when food is in the freezer, do not open the door of the freezer com-
partment. The frozen food will not be affected if the power cut is of short duration (up to 12 hours) and the freezer compartment is full, otherwise, it is recommended that the food should be used within a short time (a temperature increase of the frozen food shortens its safe storage period).

Installation
Take utmost care when handling your
appliance so as not to cause any damages to the cooling unit with consequent possible fluid leakages.
During normal operation, the condenser and compressor at the back of the appliance heat up con- siderably. Always ensure that there is adequate ventilation as a failure to do this will result in component failure and possible food loss. See installation instructions.
Important: if the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manifacturer or its service agent.
Positioning
• Unpack the cabinet and check that it is in good condition and free of any transport damage.
• Place the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Avoid prolonged exposure of the appliance to direct sunlight.
• For safety reasons, minimum ventilation must be as shown in Fig.
The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each climate classification:
Climate classificati for an ambient temperature
SN + 10 to +32°C
N + 16 to +32°C
ST + 18 to +38°C
T + 18 to +43°C
When the ambient temperature is not included within the range indicated for the class of this appliance, the storage temperature in the appliance cannot be guaranteed; therefore it is advisable to use the food stored as soon as possible.
Electrical connection
Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the serial number plate correspond to your domestic power supply.
Attention: keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
It is necessary that the niche is provided with a conduct of ventilation having the following dimensions:
Depth 50 mm Width 540 mm
Voltage can vary by ±6% of the rated voltage.
For operation with different voltages, a suitably sized autotransformer must be used.
Important
The appliance must be earthed.
The power supply cable plug is provided with a contact for this purpose. If the domestic power supply socket is not earthed. connect the appliance to a separate earth in compliance with current regulations, consulting a specialist technician.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility if the above safety precautions are not observed.
The climate classification can be found on the rating plate, which is located inside the cabinet on the left hand wall.

DECLARATION OF TERMS OF WARRANTY (B)
Our appliances are manufactured with utmost care. Despite this fact, it is always possible that a defect is present. Our customer service will handle it upon request, during or after the period of warranty. The lifetime of the appliance will therefore not be affected. These terms of warranty are based on European Union Directive 99/44/EC and provisions of the Italian Civil Code. The legal rights of the consumer pursuant to this legislation cannot be altered by this declaration of terms of warranty. This declaration does not interfere with the seller's obligations of warranty towards the end consumer. The appliance is warranted within the framework and in observance of the following conditions 1 Based on provisions indicated in paragraphs 2 to 15, we shall repair any defect that appears within a 24-month period starting on the date the appliance is delivered to the end consumer at no additional cost. These terms do not apply in the case the appliance is used for professional or similar purposes. 2 The performance covered by the warranty implies that the appliance be put back into its original conditions prior to the defect's appearance. The defective components are replaced or repaired. The components replaced free of charge become our property.
3 The defect must be reported immediately in order to prevent more serious damage. 4 Application of the warranty is subject to the consumer producing the proof of purchase bearing the date of pur-
chase and/or the date of delivery. 5 The warranty is inapplicable if damages to delicate pieces such as glass (pyroceram), synthetic materials and rubber result from improper use. 6 The warranty is inapplicable for mild anomalies that do not undermine the value and overall sturdiness of the appliance. 7 The obligation of warranty becomes ineffective if the defects are caused by:
- a chemical or electrochemical reaction caused by water,
- generally anomalous environmental conditions,
- improper use,
- any contact with aggressive products. 8 The warranty is inapplicable to defects due to transport beyond our liability. Moreover, the warranty does not cover those defects caused by improper installation or assembly, lack of maintenance or failure to follow the assembly and user's instructions. 9 The warranty does not cover defects deriving from repairs or service calls made by unqualified or incompetent people, or caused by adding non-original accessories or spare parts. 10 Easy to transport appliances must be delivered or sent to customer service. Service calls can be considered only if the appliances are very large or installed in built-in units. 11 If the appliances are installed in built-in units, sub-built-in, secured or hung in such a ways that their removal and repositioning require more than half an hour, the relative labour costs will be charged. Associated damages caused by the removal and repositioning operations are at the user's expense. 12 If repeated repair of the same defect during the period of warranty is not final o if the repair costs are deemed excessive, it may be decided to replace the defective appliance with another of the same value, in agreement with the owner. In this case we reserve the right to ask the user to share in the financial costs, based on the period of use that has elapsed. 13 The repair covered by the warranty does not entail an extension of the normal period of warranty or the renewal of the period of warranty.
14 We grant a twelve-month warranty on repairs which is restricted to the same defect. 15 The case in which a liability is legally enforced excepted, this declaration of terms of warranty does not inclu-
de any indemnity or damages outside the appliance that the customer may wish to avail himself of. In the case of legally recognised liability, reimbursement shall not exceed the purchase value of the appliance.
These terms of warranty are valid only for appliances purchased and used in Belgium. As regards exported appliances, the user must first of all make sure they meet the technical conditions (e.g. voltage, frequency, installation instructions, type of gas, etc.) of the country in question and that they withstand the local weather and environmental conditions. In the case of appliances purchased abroad, the user must first of all make sure they meet the ratings required in Belgium. Vital or desirable adaptations are not covered by the warranty, and are not always feasible. Customer Service remains at your disposal, even after the period of warranty has expired.
