Carry out installation and
connection, carefully

If the appliance is
transported in the horizontal
position, the oil contained in
the compressor may flow into
the refrigerant circuit.
Therefore, leave it in the
upright position for at least
2 hours before starting it, in
order to allow the oil to flow
back into the compressor.
Do not bend the pipes
excessively during appliance

damaged, replace it with a
new one to be requested

Installation
Attenzione
The correct functioning of the
cooler depends on a perfect
installation. Good air flow in
the cabinet is fundamental.
All data about power supply
and water connection must
comply with the technical
specifications chart.
Installation phases:
1. Positioning of the water cooler
in the undersink compartment;
2. Water connection;
3. Dispensing tap installaton
4. Filter cartridge and Co2 bottle
installation;
5. Power connection.
Package content
Unpack the appliance and check for
any damages occurred during
transportation. Move it carefully
avoiding falls or collisions that may
damage the refrigeration circuit.

Place the cooler far from
heat sources in a
compartment with
sufficient air flow
- This appliance needs free space
in the back.
- Leave at least 5 cm clearance on
the sides. We advice you to leave
more space around the filter
door for filter replacement

H2O pressure must be
between 2.0 and 3.5 bar.
In case of higher pressure,
a pressure reducer must
be installed by a plumber

Check the presence of the following
in the undersink compartment:
an intercepting tap for cold and hot
water line.
The lack of the above mentioned
items makes the connection
impossible. Please have your system
checked by a plumber installer.
Take the installation kit for water
supply and carry out the connection
as explained:
1. Replace hot water and cold
water flexible pipes with the
supplied kit (Fig. 4).
2. Connect the inlet pipe (H2O IN)
to the cold water union “T”;
3. Connect the dispensing tap to
the COLD H2O OUT pipe coming
out of the appliance;
4. Connect the dispensing tap to
the SODA OUT pipe coming out
of the appliance.

The dispensing tap must be installed on
the edge of the sink or on the kitchen
top using the fixing ring or the predrilled base plate fixed with screws
(Fig. 6).

Installation of filter cartridge and Co2 Bottle

Open the filter cartridge access door as
shown in Fig.8, undoing the 2 fixing
screws and pulling the panel towards
the left, to remove the hooks from the
fixed structure
Remove the cap and connect the filter
cartridge to the head rotating it
counter-clockwise (Fig. 9).
In case of water leaks, dry the whole
area with a cloth.
Disposable bottle
Co2 bottle is on the left side of the
appliance. Remove the green cap and
screw the pressure reducer onto the
bottle. Make sure the Co2 bottle is
properly screwed (Fig. 10).
Open the valve on the reducer until
reaching a pressure of approx. 3 bar.
Pressure can be adjusted up to a max.
of approx. 4 bar to obtain a higher
carbonation level. To reach a good
carbonation level, it is necessary for
CO2 pressure to be =.5 bar higher than
water pressure.

Before plugging in the
appliance, make sure the
system voltage and
frequency match those on
the identification plate and
in the technical
specifications table.

Only connect the appliance to a 230
V AC socket using the supplied plug.
The electrical system must comply
with all safety regulations in force.

- Press the start button on the
front of the cooler;
- Set the thermostat on MAX cold
(Fig. 12);
- Rotate the tap left knob
clockwise to dispense flat (noncarbonated) water and keep it
open for about 3 minutes to clear
the filter;
- 4Springs is now ready to use.

In case of sudden lack of
water from the mains or low
water pressure while the
carbonating pump is working,
after 4 minutes the pump
protection device is activated
(see alarms)
Warning
If sparkling water tap is left
open to let water flow (i.e.
to fill a carafe), the water
flow can become irregular.
To prevent that from
happening and to avoid
emptying the Co2 bottle,
close the tap for about 20
secs then open again.

Before any cleaning or
maintenance operation,
switch off and unplug the
appliance.
CO2 bottle replacement (for food)
When dispensed carbonated water becomes flat, it is time to replace the CO2
bottle as described below :
1. Access the undersink compartment.
2. Locate the bottle on the front of
the appliance. (Fig.15)

3. Remove the bottle from the
compartment.
4. Holding the pressure reducer with
the left hand, rotate the bottle
clockwise (Fig. 16) to separate it
from the pressure reducer.
5. Screw down the new bottle onto
the reducer rotating it counterclockwise.
6. Place the new bottle in the original
position on the front of the
appliance.

Filter cartridge replacement
When the warning lights indicating filter cartridge depletion come on,
replace the cartridge following the instructions below:
1. Access the undersink compartment;
2. Switch off the cooler (fig.12) and
remove it from the compartment to
access the filter;
3. Open the filter cartridge access door.
(Fig. 17)

4. Start the cold water dispensing from
the tap to eliminate pressure.
5. Rotate the filter cartridge
approximately a ¼ turn clockwise to
free it from the head. (Fig. 18)
6. Insert a new filter cartridge (Fig. 18a)
or a cleaning and disinfecting
cartridge to start a cleaning and
disinfecting procedure (Fig. 18b).
7. Rotate the new cartridge approx. A ¼
turn counter-clockwise to tighten it
to the head.
8. Make sure there are no leaks and dry
the bottom of the compartment.
9. Close the filter compartment door
10. Switch the appliance back on
11. Clear the circuit for at least 3
minutes opening the flat cold water
knob of the dispensing tap.

Cleaning and disinfecting procedure
Warning
Do not dispense carbonated
water during the cleaning
and disinfecting procedure.
Carry out the cleaning and
disinfecting procedure
every time you change the
filter.
This procedure starts when you replace the old filter cartridge with the
cleaning and disinfecting cartridge full of Neutral Detergent.
1. Dispense cold water only, turning the
tap left knob for approx. 15 seconds
2. Leave the appliance inoperative for
10 minutes
3. Pull the sanification cartridge out and
put a new filter in
4. Dispense cold water for 10 minutes
turning the left knob of the tap

The dispensed litres must be reset after replacing the cartridge.

Prolonged disuse
In general, it is not necessary to set the appliance on a safety mode. It is
sufficient to close the water dispensing tap and switch off the appliance (Fig.
1).
The water intercepting tap must be closed only when you leave the house for
a long period of time, like for example for a few-week holiday.
When you come back dispense at least 5lt water before starting to use the
appliance again.
