• To protect against unauthorised use the appliance is equipped with a switch-on lock.
Safety during use
• Persons (including children) who, due to their physical, sensory or mental capacity or
their inexperience or lack of knowledge are unable to use the appliance safely should
not operate this appliance without the supervision or instruction of a responsible person.
• This appliance should be used only for normal domestic cooking, roasting and baking of
food.
• Be careful if connecting electrical appliances to sockets near to this appliance. Electrical
leads must not be caught under the hot oven door.
WARNING!
WARNING: Risk of burns! The oven interior becomes hot when in use.
• If you use ingredients containing alcohol in the oven, a slightly flammable mixture of
alcohol and air may ensue. In this case, be careful when opening the door. Do not handle
any sources of heat, sparks or naked flames when doing so.
3
How to avoid damage to the appliance
• Do not line the oven with aluminium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on the
oven floor, as the heat that builds up will damage the oven enamel.
• Fruit juices dripping from the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able to
remove. For very moist cakes, use a deep tray.
• Do not put any strain on the oven door when open.
• Never pour water directly into the oven when it is hot. This could cause damage to and
discoloration of the enamel.
• Rough handling, especially around the edges of the front panel, can cause the glass to
break.
• Do not store any flammable materials inside the oven. These could ignite when the oven
is switched on.
• Do not store any moist foods inside the oven. These could damage the oven enamel.
• Do not leave dishes uncovered in the oven after switching off the cooling fan. Moisture
may form inside the oven or on the glass door and also get onto the units.
4
Note: Enamel coating
Changes in the colour of the oven's enamel surface as a result of use do not affect the
oven's suitability for normal and correct use. They therefore do not constitute a defect in
terms of warranty law.

Principle
With Auto Cooking , the oven calculates the cooked time needed.
Unlike conventional cooking, you do not need to set a type of heat or cooking time. Instead,
you simply select the desired food type from the category menu.
" You can use Auto Cooking on one oven level only.
Only use the fat filter when roasting! Otherwise the oven cannot calculate an optimal
cooking time.
To attain optimum results, you should use the recommended cookware and/or accessories.
You can find further information in the section Tips, Charts and Advice.

Calibration Adjusting to suit the environment
For optimal results using "Auto-Kochen" the oven must be adjusted to suit the surroundings.
This process is called Kalibrierung and takes approximately 4 hours.
The oven does not need to be calibrated if you only want to use it for conventional cooking.
Please take note of the following points prior to Kalibrierung
•
The Kalibrierung must take place at a room temperature below 35°C.
•
For Kalibrierung, install the oven into its final location.
• For the Kalibrierung, connect the oven to the mains supply that will always be used.
• The grease filter must be removed before Kalibrierung.
• The supplied shelf runners must be mounted. (see instructions in the chapter "Cleaning
and Care")
• If the oven location, electrical connection or other above mentioned aspect is changed,
the oven must always be recalibrated so that the function "Auto-Kochen" delivers optimal results.
You will find calibration in the "Einstellungen", "Kalibrierung" menu.
After calibration, the appliance is ready for use as soon as it has cooled down.

Manual baking and roasting
In case you wish to prepare meals with manual settings, the following tables and tips provide
useful information. In the tables you will find a selection of dishes with the appropriate
settings.
Baking
Oven function: Cook using Fan Cooking or Top-Bottom heat (conventional cooking)
Oven levels
• Baking with Conventional Cooking is possible on one oven level.
• With Fan Cooking you can use up to three baking trays at the same time:
1 baking tray:
e.g. Oven level 3
25
1 baking tin:
e.g. Oven level 1
2 baking trays:
e.g. oven levels 1 and 3
Tips, charts and information
26
3 baking trays:
Oven levels 1, 3 and 5
Baking tins
• For best Conventional Cooking results, use tins made from dark metal and coated.
• For Fan Cooking you can also use light metal tins.
General instructions
• Insert the tray with the bevel at the front
• With Conventional Cooking or Fan Cooking you can also bake with two cake tins next
to one another on the oven shelf at the same time. This does not significantly increase
the baking time.
If using frozen food, the inserted trays can warp during the cooking process. This is due to
the large temperature difference between the frozen food and the oven temperature. After
the trays have cooled, the deformation disappears.
Notes on the baking charts
• The following charts give the required temperature settings, cooking times and oven
levels for a selection of typical dishes.
• Temperatures and baking times are for guidance only, as these will depend on the consistency of the mixture, the quantity and the type of baking tin.
• We recommend setting the oven to a lower temperature for the first time and only
setting a higher temperature when required, e.g. If the baking is taking too long, choose
a higher temperature setting.
• If you cannot find the settings for a particular recipe of your own, look for a similar one.
• If baking cakes on baking trays or in tins on more than one level, baking time can be
extended by 10-15 minutes.
• Pizzas, fruit flans, etc.) are baked on one level.
•
Cakes and pastries at different heights may brown at an uneven rate at first. You shouldnot change the temperature setting if this occurs . Different rates of browning even
out as baking progresses.
Unless otherwise stated, the values given in the tables assume that cooking is started with
the oven cold.

Low temperature cooking
With Slow Cook the meat becomes beautifully tender and remains particularly succulent.
We recommend this function for tender, lean pieces of meat and fish.
Slow Cook is not suitable for pot roasts or fatty pork roasts.
We recommend 120°C for smaller pieces of meat, e.g. steaks.
We recommend 150°C for larger pieces of meat, e.g. fillet of beef.
When using the heating function Slow Cook always cook dishes uncovered without a
lid.
1. Sea r t he me at to be ro as ted i n a pa n o n eac h s id e f or 1-2 m in s. at ve ry hi gh te mp eratu re .
2. Place meat in a roasting dish or directly on the oven shelf with the tray underneath to
catch the fat.
3. Place it in the oven. Select heating function Slow Cook. If required, use the selector to
select 150°C and cook until ready (see table).
For cleaning, the appliance must be switched off and cooled down.
WARNING!
For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam jet or high-pressure cleaning
equipment!
34
CAUTION!
Do not use any scouring agents, sharp cleaning tools or scourers.
CAUTION!
Do not use any rough, polishing cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the glass that
can scratch the surface, as this can cause the glass to break.
The outside of the appliance
• Wipe down the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and a solution of hot water and
washing-up liquid.
• For metal fronts, use normal commercially available cleaning agents.
• Please do not use any scouring agents or abrasive sponges.
Oven interior
Clean the oven after every use. This is the easiest way to remove dirt which then cannot
burn on.
1. When the oven door is opened, the oven light switches itself on automatically.
2. Wipe out the oven after every use with a solution of washing-up liquid and then dry
it.
Remove stubborn dirt with special oven cleaners.
When using oven sprays, please follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly!
Accessories
Wash up all insertable parts (oven shelf, baking tray, side rails, etc.) after each use and dry
well. For easier cleaning, leave to soak for a while.
Non-stick accessories
Clean accessories with a soft sponge or cloth in hot water and washing-up liquid.
