These mounts are designed exclusively for the Generation III Vortec
blocks with the square bolt pattern on the motor mounts (4 bolts).
Both the car and truck blocks are exactly the same with respect to the
bolt patterns. These mounts are designed to be used in conjunction
with a stock triangular 3 bolt pattern mount. These plates will allow
the new Vortec to be installed into the same location as the earlier
Chevy you’re replacing. The back of the block will line up to your
transmission and the triangular mount will not need to be modified.

These mounts can also use with our Chevy universal weld-in kits for
certain manifold clearance issues.

Passenger’s side mount (713088R): This mount does

interfere with the A/C pump. V ehicles using A/C will

need to modify the mount for a proper fit.

Note: Modifications may be necessary

to these mounts when used with air
conditioning.

Driver’s side mount (713088L):

NOTE: These mounts require front crossmember modifications on the 4WD K5 Chevy Blazer and Early Chevy Trucks.
The Vortec oil pan hits the leading edge of this stock crossmember preventing it from mounting it level in the frame rails.
A Camaro LS1 oil pan is 1” shallower and will aid in this clearance.

recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are normally
available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.
