INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

This kit is designed for a T98 transmission. The kit includes a new T18 input shaft tht must be installed into the T98
transmission and we have included a special needle bearing to fit to the T98 main output shaft. The T98 transmission
also used two sizes of shifter synchronizer rings. If the transmission you have has a synchronizer ring that is too large,
you will then be required to purchase P/N T87-D14 from your Border Auto Parts 619-461-0171.

1. Install new shaft with needle bearings.

2. Install pilot bushing into the engine crank shaft.

3. Bolt the bearing retainer to the adapter plate using the 4 bolts supplied.

4. Install the new oil seal with the open side towards the transmission and make sure that it locates directly over the
transmission into the adapter. New bolts have been provided to go through both the transmission and adapter plate
and thread into the new bellhousing.

5. Place the adapter plate to the bellhousing, apply RTV silicone on the adapter plate and then index the transmission
into the adapter. New bolts have been provided to go through both the transmission and adapter plate and thread
into the new bellhousing.

6. The following Ford parts will be necessary:
