INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

This adapter kit is provided for use with the Toyota Land Cruiser 4 speed transmissions that are going to be used with
the early model 3 speed transfer cases. The output shaft is identical to the Toyota Land Cruiser shaft except the splines
on the end of the shaft are 1-3/8"-10. The original 4 speed shaft has 16 splines and is not interchangeable with the earlier
model transfer cases.

With the shaft installed into the transmission, you must then install the new bushing over the shaft. This bushing will
provide the proper location for assuring gear alignment. The two transfer case gears will then slip directly onto the new
output shaft. The original rear output bearing from the 3 speed transfer case will then be installed along with the washer
and nut on the end of the shaft. Maximum torque should be 75 ft/lbs.

This transmission adapter is not compatible with the original Toyota P.T.O. gear boxes or the Fairy overdrive
transmissions.
