NOTE: This kit was updated to a spud shaft design on 10/01/14.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This adapter kit can be used for the Bronco II V8 engine conversion installations that are replacing either the A4LD automatic
transmission. The overall length of the new AOD transmission case plus the length of the new adapter housing will be
the same overall length as the original A4LD. If you are attempting to use this transmission for replacement of the original
5 speed, it may be necessary to modify the drive lines and transfer case location. The AOD adapter kit is only available
in the one length and if your existing transmission assembly is not 29-1/2", plan on transfer case relocation.

Every attempt has been made to duplicate the original AOD tailhousing. Before final assembly into the vehicle, you must
verify that the shift linkage clearance in the tailhousing is sufficient. A test on the linkage lever will make sure that the proper
clearances have been achieved. The new main shaft must be installed into the AOD transmission.

The transfer case adapter has been furnished with a transfer case linkage mounting holes and crossmember support holes
identical in location to the original A4LD adapter. Slight modifications may be necessary.
