INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
This kit is designed to use a T19 to a Dana 300 transfer case. To assemble this adapter, you will have to install a new
transmission output shaft into the transmission case and a new input gear into the transfer case.
1. Starting at the Dana 300 transfer case, remove the 6 socket head bolts from the aluminum index hub on the front
side the transfer case.
2. Using the two slots on the side of this retainer, you will need to pry the retainer out of the transfer case. This retainer
assembly does pilot into the rear output shaft of this transfer case. If the retainer assembly seams tight to remove,
try spinning the rear output shaft.
3. Once the retainer is removed you will need a pair of snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring that retains the drive
gear to the input shaft. Remove the snap ring and the drive gear from the input shaft. The aluminum retainer should
now have the bearing, input shaft, seal, and a snap ring holding the bearing into the retainer. This snap ring must
also be removed to allow the bearing and input shaft to be pressed out of the index housing.
4. The seal will also be required to be pressed out of the index retainer. The retainer should now be empty.
5. Install the new bearing onto the new input shaft. Install both components into the stock retainer and install the stock
snap ring.
6. Install the input drive gear onto the input shaft and retain it with the stock
snap ring. Make sure the gear is installed so that the cogged side of the
gear is facing away from the bearing.
7. Install the new seal provided in the kit - the open side towards the
transmission.
8. Apply Loctite 515 or equivalent sealant to the retainer surface and install
into the Dana 300 transfer case. Make sure the pocket bearing is installed
in the Dana 300 output shaft

SPECIAL NOTE: The components packaged in this kit have been assembled and machined for specific type of conversions. Modifications to any of the components will
void any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changes that will be required to complete your conversion, we strongly recommend
that you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the assembly of Advance Adapter components. We recommend that a
service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are normally available at automotive
dealerships and parts stores.

9. Bolt retainer to the transfer case using the stock bolts. Torque to 10 ft./lbs.
10. Install the adapter to the T19 and install the transmission output shaft using a T19 shop manual.
11. The transfer case should be test-fitted to the adapter to check for shaft engagement. Make sure the transfer case
fits flush up to the adapter surface. If not, check for burrs on the shafts and/or output shaft cut off length. Never
pull the transfer case to the adapter using the bolts to draw these components together.
12. Install a silicone sealant on both sides of the gasket and install the transfer case to the adapter. Note: The gasket
will only fit onto the transfer case in one rotation.

WARNER T19 4 SPEED 1966 & UP:
The T18 & T19 transmission can be identified by a case length of 11-7/8" and a case casting number of T18 or 13-01,
and T19 or 13-09. The shift cover has a casting number of 13-01 or 13-09. The P.T.O. opening is on the right hand side
towards the front of the case and the shift cover is mounted to the top of the case with six bolts. The new shaft furnished
with this kit must be carefully compared to the original shaft removed from your transmission. T18 and T19 transmissions
required for this kit are from Ford 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. The front bolt pattern on these Ford transmissions will have
an 8-1/2" x 6-1/4" bellhousing pattern with a bellhousing pilot diameter of 4.848".
Before you begin to assemble your transmission, you must make sure that you have received the correct main shaft. The
spline on the end of the shaft must have 27 teeth. We manufacture several different T19 main shafts, so it's possible that
you could receive the wrong shaft in error.
The assembled length of the transmission and adapter will vary depending on which installation you are doing. On certain
Jeep applications, we have set the length up to be an exact replacement of the original T4 & T5 transmissions.
When this transmission is going to be used with an AMC 6 cylinder or V8 engine, you must use Jeep bellhousing No.
8133951 and AA pilot bushing No. 716156. The clutch disc should be changed to an 10-1/2" Centerforce No. 384180.
When assembling the gears onto the new main shaft, make sure that all gears have the proper end clearance required for
oiling. Make sure that all transmission assembly work is done by a competent mechanic. All surfaces must use gaskets
to prevent oil leakage. Warner gear has used two different shaft designs for the spacer between second and third gear.
Some transmissions will use a snap ring and thrust washer, while others will use a built in shoulder. Both shafts are
interchangeable.

JEEP DANA 300 T/C (27 SPLINES)
When bolting the adapter to the main transmission case, you must use four studs. A slight modification may be necessary
to obtain the proper clearance around the lower bearing cover of the stock transmission.
This installation uses a one piece main shaft. Make sure that the output shaft does not bottom out. We have found on
occasion that a transmission output shaft may be slightly longer than we have allowed for; and when coupling into the
Dana 300 sleeve, we find a small amount of interference. The adapter housing must be assembled to the back of the
transmission without interference. (NOTE: The new output shaft supplied in this kit will need to shortened
approximately 7/16" or cut flush with transfer case adapter to prevent shaft from bottoming out in transfer case
sleeve.) DO NOT FORCE THE NEW TAILHOUSING ONTO THE TRANSMISSION. If assistance is needed, please
feel free to call the number listed above.
With the adapter and transmission assembled, you are now ready to bolt the transfer case into position. There are no
gaskets required between the transfer case and transmission since the new seal prevents any oil from entering this area.
We have included a new gasket for added protection. The new seal provided with the adapter kit must be installed with
the open side towards the transmission.
The skid plate will need to be slightly modified to fit under the new transmission. Two new holes may be necessary for
use with the new adapter and a slight notch may be required on the front leading edge of the skid plate for clearance around
the front driveshaft.
