This casting is a replacement for the stock SM465 to NP208 adapter. This casting is 8-1/2" long and utilizes the short
style crossmember foot.
This casting can be used for a NP205 transfer case, but requires some modifications. Clearance for the shift rail on the
NP205 and a pivot for the linkage must be fabricated.
NP205 that had a long transfer case input gear used a longer adapter housing approximately 10" long. These applications
we can add a 1.625" spacer P/N 51-6910. This spacer has the clearance notch for the NP205 shift rail. The added length
makes the adapter housing close to the same overall length.
