BOUTON STANDBY/ON

Appuyez sur ce bouton pour mettre en marche votre appareil (éclairage blanc de votre

bouton après sa temporisation). La mise en marche de votre appareil ne peut se faire que
si le bouton Marche/Arrêt général situé sur la face arrière est en position ON. En mode

STANDBY, l’alimentation principale est coupée à l’exception du micro-contrôleur servant à
activer l’état de veille de l’appareil. Le bouton est allumé en rouge.

STANDBY/ON POWER BUTTON

Press this button to turn ON your appliance, power is supplied to your unit and it beco­mes operational, the STANDBY indicator white lights after few seconds. (The main power
switch is located on the back panel and must be ON in order to use STANDBY function).

When set to STANDBY the main power is cut-off and the unit is no longer fully operational

except for the micro controller. The standby indicator red lights during standby

En mode source INPUT, il indiquera la source sélectionné, en mode BALANCE, les
niveaux gauche et droite, en mode BYPASS son activation ou sa desactivation, en mode

DIMMER le niveau d’éclairage, en mode INFO la version du logiciel utilisé.

IMPORTANT: quand le mode BYPASS est sur OFF, deux menus supplémentaires appa-

raissent afin de controler le niveau des graves et des aigus. Si le mode ON est slectionné

et que vous appuyez sur une des touches Treble ou Bass de la télécommande, un mes­sage d’erreur “KEY ERR“ vous indiquera que cette fonction est inaccessible. Le mode

BYPASS ON indique que les réglages aigus et graves sont désactivés et que le signal est
traité sans transiter par ces réglages.

LEFT DISPLAY

This display will indicate several informations depending of chosen menu. In INPUT sour­ce mode, it will display the input source selected, in BALANCE mode, the right and left
level, in BYPASS mode if this mode is OFF or ON, in DIMMER, the light level of the front
panel, in INFO mode, the software version of the preamplifier.

IMPORTANT: When the BYPASS mode is OFF, two additionnal menus appears to control

treble and bass levels. If BYPASS ON is selected and if you push treble or bass buttons

on the remote, the display will indicate “KEY ERR“ to advise you that in this mode you
can’t control treble and bass levels. In this mode the signal uses a direct path.

BOUTON MULTIFONCTIONS

Ce bouton possède trois fonctions: il vous permet de régler le volume sonore de votre
préamplificateur, de sélectionner les différents menus et options de votre préamplifica­teurs (Sources, balance, bypass (On ou Off), Treble (seulement si le bypass est Off) ,

bass (seulement si le bypass est Off), intensité lumineuse de l’affichage et version du

logiciel) et de valider vos choix en appuyant au centre de ce bouton.

MULTIFUNCTIONS BUTTON

This button has three functions: you can adjust the level of the sound, you can select the
different menus and options of your preamplifier (Inputs, Balance, Bypass (On or Off),
Treble (only if bypass is Off), Bass (only if bypass is Off), Dimmer and Info (software ver­sion).

PRISE CASQUE 6,35MM

La sortie casque de votre préamplificateur permet d’alimenter un casque stéréophonique
conventionnel (non fourni) disposant d’une prise de type jack 6,35mm stéréophonique. Le
niveau de sortie de cette prise ne permet pas l’utilisation d’un casque électrostatique.

HEADPHONES

The headphone terminal provides a stereo audio signal sufficient for driving all conven­tional stereo headphones except electrostatic headphones which generally require signal
from a high level ouputs.

Comment utiliser le bouton multifonctions

Après avoir brancher électriquement votre préamplificateur, mettre l’interrupteur

principal ON/OFF situé sur la face arrière sur la position ON. Le bouton de standby situé

sur la façade avant de votre préamplificateur s’allume en rouge. Appuyer sur ce bouton
pour mettre en marche l’appareil, le standby s’allume alors en blanc, l’afficheur de gau-

che affiche ADVANCE tandis que celui de droite indique le niveau sonore dernièrement

utilisé puis l’afficheur de gauche vous indique la source active.
Vous pouvez augmenter ou diminuer le son en tournant ce volume vers la droi-

te ou vers la gauche.

A présent, vous souhaitez accéder aux menus de votre préamplificateur.

Appuyer au centre du bouton et le premier menu INPUT apparaitra. Tourner alors ce
bouton pour choisir une autre source puis valider en appuyant sur ce même bouton. La

source sélectionné sera précédée d’un signe >.

ATTENTION

LA VALIDATION DE LA SOURCE NÉCESSITE QUELQUES SECONDES.

Si vous souhaitez éliminer ce temps de validation, vous pouvez sélectionner les sources
directement à partir de la télécommande.
L’accés aux autres menus et la validation de vos choix se fait façon identique

How to use the multifunctions button

Plug your preamplifier on the outlet, then switch ON the general power supply swich
located on the rear panel. The voltage indicator will light on and the stand by button loca­ted on the front panel will light on in red. Push the standby button (front panel) and the
light will become white, the left display indicate ADVANCE and the right display the level
of the volume, then after a short time, the left display indicates the last selected source
when the preamplifier was shut Off. The right display indicate the volume of the last use.

You can increase or decrease the sound level with this button.

At that time, you can select the different menus of your preamplifier. Push one
time the center of the button and the left display indicates INPUT. Turn the button and
you can choose a different source, push again the center of the button to confirm your

choice. A > before the source indicate that your choice has been confirmed.

SOURCE CONFIRMATION NEED FEW SECONDS.

WARNING

You can eliminate this confirmation time by using the remote control

Selections and confirmations of others menus and options work identically.

Vous devez connecter vos sources sur les entrées stéréophoniques correspondantes.
Toutes ces entrées sont normalisées, elles conviennent à toutes sources standards
comme des tuners, des lecteurs CD, des lecteurs MP3, des lecteurs DVD, etc...
Remarque : Ces entrées conviennent uniquement à des signaux audio analogiques. Elles
ne doivent pas être raccordées à la sortie numérique d’un lecteur de CD ou d’un autre
appareil à sortie numérique.

INPUTS

You can connect your stereo sources on those inputs. These inputs are suitable for any

line level source equipment such as tuners, CD players, DVD, MP3 players, etc.

Note: These inputs are for analogue audio signals only. They should not be connected to
the digital output of a CD player or any other digital device.

ENTRÉE PHONO ET CONNECTEUR DE MASSE

Vous devez connecter votre platine disque sur les prises RCA gauche (L) et droite (R).
Les platines disque incluent en général un petit fil de masse qu’il faut relier à la vis de

masse PHONO GROUND. Dévisser le connecteur de masse, insérer le fil de masse dans
la tige du connecteur puis revisser afin que le fil de masse soit maintenu.

PHONO INPUT AND GROUND TERMINAL

You can connect your turntable on the RCA connectors left (L) and right (R). Turntables
normally includes a single wire earth lead. Use the phono ground connector to connect
this lead. Unscrew the terminal to expose the hole which will accept the lead. After inser­tion, tighten the terminal to secure the lead.

PRE-OUT 1 / PRE-OUT 2

PRE-OUT 1 et PRE-OUT 2: Votre préamplificateur possède deux sorties stéréophoniques
pré-out. Le niveau du signal varie en tournant le bouton de volume de votre préamplifica-

teur. Connectez les entrées L (gauche) et R (droite) de votre amplificateur de puissance
aux sorties PRE-OUT 1 ou PRE-OUT 2 L et R de votre préamplificateur. Vous pouvez
aussi utiliser ces sorties avec un processeur ou égaliseur. L’intégralité de la bande pas­sante est transmise à l’amplificateur de puissance.

PRE-OUT 1 / PRE-OUT 2

PRE-OUT 1 and PRE-OUT : Your preamplifier have two pre-out ouputs, PRE-OUT 1 and
PRE-OUT 2. The output level of those pre-out can be adjusted by the volume button of
your preamplifier. Connect L and R input from your power amplifier to one of those pre­out. You can chose PRE-OUT 1 or PRE-OUT 2. You also have the possibility to use on

those connectors signal processors such as equalizers.

Si votre amplificateur de puissance est équipé d’entrées symétriques, vous pouvez relier

ses prises symétriques (gauche et droite) aux sorties symétriques de votre préamplifica­teur.

BALANCED PRE-OUT (BAL. R et BAL. L)

If your power amplifier has balanced inputs, you have the possibility to connect it on the

balanced outputs of your preamplifier MPP-506.

INDICATEUR DE TENSION

Votre préamplicateur est équipé d’un sélecteur automatique de la tension secteur. Le
voyant bleu indiquera la tension d’alimentation détectée (115 ou 230V).

VOLTAGE INDICATOR

An automatic voltage detector is used on your preamplifier. One of those two leds will indi­cate the voltage that has been detected when your preamplifier is plugged in the outlet.

The leds will indicate 115V or 230V.

PRISE D’ALIMENTATION /INTERRUPTEUR GÉNÉRAL

Pour alimenter votre appareil, commuter l’interrupteur général sur ON et vérifier la tension
d’alimentation. Si votre tension est de 115V vous devez changer les fusibles avec ceux

fournis.

POWER CORD /MASTER ON/OFF SWITCH

VOLTAGE SELECTOR AND FUSE HOLDER

Before plugging in the amplifier, its master power switch must be in the OFF position.
Also, you need to be sure about the voltage of your country. In case that you need to

use your appliance in 115V, you need to change the position of the voltage switch and to

replace the voltage fuses by those included in your product.

ENTRÉE SYMÉTRIQUE CD

Si vous disposez d’un lecteur CD possédant une sortie symétrique (ou autre source), vous
pouvez raccorder cette sortie stéréo à l’entrée symétrique stéréo BAL.R et BAL.L de votre
préamplificateur MPP-505

BALANCED CD INPUT

If your cd player has a stereo balanced output, you can connect it on the stereo balanced

cd input of your preamplifier MPP-505. Also, you can use this balanced input with others

sources like tuner, DVD, etc... having a similar output.

ENTRÉE AES/EBU

La norme AES/EBU définit la méthode de transfert pour l’audio numérique profession­nelle. Cette norme a vu le jour dans les années 80 (AES3-1985, AES3-1992). Elle est
survenue suite à la collaboration entre l’Audio Engineering Society (AES) et de l’European
Boadcasting Union (EBU) permettant un échantillonnage de 32, 44,1 et 48 kHz en 16
bits de quantification qui a évolué par la suite jusque 96 et 192 kHz en 20 et 24bits. Les
signaux à la norme AES/EBU sont transmis par câbles XLR - dont
l’impédance fait 110 ohms - qui permettent le transport du signal symétrique sur des gran­des longueurs. Cette norme est aussi appelé AES3. Si votre source est équipé de cette
sortie, alors connectez la sur cette entrée.

AES/EBU INPUT

The digital audio standard frequently called AES/EBU, officially known as AES3, is
