GUIDE DE L’UTILISATEUR

La gamme d’enceintes acoustiques Kubik perpétue l’engagement de longue date d’Advance

Acoustic envers la reproduction fidèle du son.

DÉBALLAGE DES ENCEINTES

Si vous pensez que vos enceintes acoustiques aient été endommagées pendant le transport,
contactez immédiatement votre revendeur. Conservez le carton et les accessoires d’emballage.

PLACEMENT DES ENCEINTES ACOUSTIQUES

Votre caisson de graves SUB-200 a été conçu pour reproduires les basses fréquences inferieu-

res à 120Hz. L’oreille humaine n’est pas cabable de localiser le son en provenance de ces très
basses fréquences, c’est pourquoi le placement de votre subwoofer n’est pas critique.

Néanmoins, vous devez tenir compte des points suivants:

-a- Pour obtenir une amplification maximum dans votre pièce d’écoute, placer votre SUB-200
dans un des angles de la pièces à environ 10cm des murs. Si vous considérez qu’il y a trop de
basses (fréquences graves) déplacer ce caisson de l’angle de la pièce.

-b- En expérimentant la meilleure place pour votre caisson, vous obtiendrez une reproduction

sonore de qualité. Dans tous les cas, une bonne règle est de placer votre caisson près des
enceintes principales (ou satellites).

-c- Ne pas obstruer et recouvrir l’amplificateur de votre caisson de graves.

INSTALLATION ET CABLAGE DU SYSTÈME

L’installation de votre caisson peut se faire de deux façons:

-1- A partir de la sortie PRE-OUT ou SUB de votre amplificateur ou amplituner: connecter un

cable RCA entre la sortie Pre-out ou sub out de votre amplificateur ou amplituner sur l’entrée

Input de votre caisson de grave SUB-200. (Fig.1)

-2- A partir des sorties enceintes de votre amplificateur ou amplituner: connecter à l’aide de
cables d’enceintes les sorties haut-parleurs de votre amplificateur ou amplituner sur l’entrée

INPUT de votre caisson de graves comme indiqué sur le shéma (FIG.2).

Assurez vous que le canal droit de votre amplificateur est bien branché sur le canal droit de votre

subwoofer.

Répétez la même opération avec le canal gauche.

Enfin, connecter les enceintes principales avant sur les sorties OUTPUT de votre caisson de gra­ves SUB-200.

Assurez vous que le canal droit de votre subwoofer est bien branché sur l’enceinte principale

droite de votre système.

Répétez la même opération avec le canal gauche.

AUTO ON/OFF

Permet au subwoofer l’allumage et l’extension du subwoofer quand il est sur la position AUTO

REGLAGE DE VOLUME

Le niveau sonore de votre caisson de grave peut être ajusté par le bouton de volume. Utiliser ce
bouton avec prudence du niveau minimum au niveau maximum en le réglant à votre convenance.

REGLAGE DE LA PHASE

La phase est ajustable, 0 ou 180°. Essayer en fonction du son que vous préférez.

CROSSOVER / FILTRAGE

Vous avez la possibilité de réduire le niveau de grave en jouant sur la fréquence de coupure de
40 à 120Hz. Ajuster cette fréquence en fonction de votre goût.

ENTRETIEN DES ENCEINTES ACOUSTIQUES

-1- Les coffrets de vos enceintes Kubik peuvent être nettoyés avec un produit de nettoyage
ménager non abrasif.

-2- Nettoyez délicatement la grille à l’aide d’un aspirateur.

REMARQUE : N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants ni de produits à polir pour nettoyer les coffrets

ou la grille.

QUI EST PROTÉGÉ PAR CETTE GARANTIE

Le bénéfice de la garantie n’est valable que dans le pays d’origine de l’achat.

La garantie, protège le propriétaire original, et tous les propriétaires suivants pendant une durée de 5 ans à partir de la date

d’achat du premier propriétaire et à condition, que les enceintes acoustiques de la série Élysée ait été acheté chez un reven­deur agréé Advance Acoustic. Une copie dûment datée de la facture originale

doit être présentée lors de toute demande de service pendant la durée de la garantie.

QU’EST-CE QUI EST PROTÉGÉ PAR LA GARANTIE

Sauf mentions telles que stipulées ci-après, la garantie Advance Acoustic protége contre tout défaut de fabrication.

Safety Instructions :

1. Read Instructions
Please read and follow all the instructions in this manual before enjoying your loudspeakers.

2. Water and Moisture
The loudspeakers should not be used near water , in a wet basement or near a swimmingpool.
Under no circumstance should plants or fish bowls be placed on the products.

3. Heat
The loudspeakers should not be placed near any heat source such as radiators, open fires, sto­ves, direct sunlight and any other appliance that produces heat.
The Elysée loudspeakers are designed for use within the home environment. Exposure to extre­me temperatures and humidity when placed on patios or open conditions could adversely affect
the wooden cabinets.

4. Cleaning

Great care and attention has gone into the materials chosen to produce the Kubik range of louds­peakers. It is our intention that they should provide a lifetime of musical pleasure. A gentle wipe
with a dry, clean cloth is allthat is required to remove any dust.
You can clean with a soft and wet cloth.
Clean carrefully the grille with a vacuum cleaner. Avoid touching the drive units whilst cleaning,
as any damage will impair their performance.

INTRODUCTION

The Kubik range of loudspeaker perpetuates the long time commitment of AA to the faithful repro­duction of sound.
Carefully unpack the ADVANCE Kubik SUB 200 and check for any damages. If possible, keep
the carton box in case future transportation is needed.
You should immediately contact your dealer if the active subwoofer is damaged.

PLACEMENT

Your active subwoofer is destgned to re-produce music information In the frequency range below
120Hz The human ear is not able to localize sound for thèse low frequencies, this Is why the pla­cement of the subwoofer is not critical.However you can use the nature of the acoustic laws in the
following ways:

a To get the most amplification of the room itself, place the active subwoofer close to a corner at
a distance of about 10 cm from the walls. If you get to much bass please move the subwoofer out
from the corner.

b. By experimenting with the placement of the subwoofer you can optimize the sound quality. One
good rule is to place the subwoofer near the satellite speakers.

c Never cover the built-in amplifier.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of electnc shock, do not open or remove cover or back. Do not expose this
appliance to
rain or moisture. In case of malfunction consult qualified service personel

INSTALLATION

There are two ways to install Your new subwoofer ; below we w(H describe how:

1. Front amplifier with pre out to subwoofer

Connect the signal cable RCA from the amplifier pre out to INPUT of your active subwoofer.
Hereby the sound signal runs from amplifier subwoofer pre out to your active subwoofer. ( Fig 1)

2. From amplifier speaker out to subwoofer:

Connect the speaker cords from the amplifier speaker terminations to INPUT In on Your active
subwoo-fer. Make sure that the right channel on the amplifier is connected to the right channel on
the subwoofer.
Repeat the same check for the left channels.
Next,connect the front speakers from OUTPUT on Your active subwoofer.
Make sure that the right channel on the subwoofer is connected to the right speaker.
Repeat the same check for the left channel (See Fig 2)

AUTO ON/OFF

Select AUTO to enable the auto mode of the subwoofer. The subwoofer will switch ON when
signal arrive and switch OFF after several minutes when there is no more audio signal.

Volume

The sound level of the active subwoofer can be adjusted. Use the volume control carefully, re­member that programme material may contain very high energy.

Phase

The phase is adjustable to 0 or 180 degrees Try both settings for preferred sound.

Crossover

It is possible to reduce the bass -adjustment from 40-120 Hz. Try différent settings for preferred

sound.
