COMMANDS
impedance [600c | 600r* | 900c | 900r]
Configures the AC impedance of the FXS interface. Use the no
form of this command to return to the default value of 600c.
600c Specifies an impedance of 600Ω + 2.16 µF
600r Specifies an impedance of 600Ω
900c Specifies an impedance of 900Ω + 2.16 µF
900r Specifies an impedance of 900Ω
loopback [analog |digital]
Activates a loopback on the FXS Module. Use the no form of this
command to deactivate the loopback.
analog Initiates a loop back toward the T1 network side
of the connection after passing through analog
filters in the voice codec
digital Initiates the same loopback before passing
through analog filters in the voice codec.
rx-gain [-12.0 to 6.0] (configure in 0.1 dB increments)
Defines the receive gain characteristics on the FXS interface.
Receive gain determines the amplification of the received signal
before transmitting out the FXS interface, By default, the rx-gain
is -3.0 dB.
signal [loop-start | ground-start]
Configures the signaling mode for the FXS interface. The default
is loop-start.
loop-start Bridges the tip and ring to indicate an off-hook
(seizing the ling) condition.
test [loop | ring-ground | tone]
Provides manual control of the FXS interfaces for testing. Use the
no form of this command to deactivate the test.
loop Enables a 2-wire “hook switch” on the FXS
interface that controls the DC current flow.
ring-ground Forces the ring conductor to ground potential
and provides battery on tip for detection of tip
ground.
tone Activates the 1 khz test tone.
tx-gain [-12.0 to 6.0] (configure in 0.1 dB increments)
Defines the transmit gain characteristics on the FXS interface.
Transmit gain determines the amplification of the received signal
before transmitting from the FXS interface towards the network.
By default, the tx-gain is -6.0 dB. (Increasing the value will
increase the volume of the signal being transmitted). Use the no
form of this command to return to the default setting.
* Indicates default values
ground-start Applies resistance to the tip conductor of the
circuit to indicate an off-hook condition.
