Operation of the ADS Hykron

Connectors
Plug the handheld sensor into the lower right socket of the amplier. The left-side socket is used to connect the headphones.

Press-to-listen
When pressed, this button amplies sounds from the sensor to the headphones. When the button is released the amplier is turned o.
Volume
This rotary control is turned to increase or decrease the volume of sound from the sensor.
Operation
1. Plug the sensor into the amplier.
2. Plug the headphones into the amplier.
3. Attach the extension rods or the magnet to the sensor unit. Position the rod onto the pipe or ground.
4. Press and hold the press-to-listen button.
5. Listen to the sound in the headphones.
6. Release the press-to-listen button.
7. Move the sensor to the next listening location and repeat the listening process.
After use, remove the rods and magnet from the sensor and disconnect the sensor from the amplier. Disconnect the headphones. Clean the equipment as required and return all the components to the carrying case.
Battery
The amplier is powered by a non-rechargeable alkaline 9V cell. This can be easily replaced by removing the cover at the top of the back of the amplier. A new battery will give approximately 60 hours continuous use.
