Efficiency
ADP gas-fired unit heaters deliver between 83% and 82%
thermal efficiency. This excellent efficiency sets a new
standard when using gas-fired unit heaters.
Reliability
ADP heater designs have proven superior for o ver a
decade a nd during hundreds of thousands of hours
in the toughest winter cl im ates of N orth America and
under extreme conditions in laboratory life cycle
testing. A DP unit heaters have been designed t o
provide a l on g, trouble free s er vice life.
Quality
Every heater undergoes continuo us q uality checks at
all sta ges of manufacturing. After assembly, each
heater is tes t f ired and function ally tested to provide
fi nal assuranc e that it is performi ng in accordance
with ADP’s rigo ro us quality stan da rds.
Approvals
All ADP heaters are built in the USA in an ISO
9001:2008 facil it y. The rating plate of each heater
carries the mark si gnifying that t he heater is design
certified b y CSA. In addition, th e heater series is
listed by t he C alifornia Energy Co mmission (CEC).
Warranty
ADP unit heaters feature a standard 2-year limited
warranty. For UHRS, and UHCM Series, the warranty
provides extended coverage on aluminized heat
exchangers for 10 years. For UHCM Series, the warranty
provides extended coverage on stainless steel heat
exchangers for 15 years.
Power Exhaust
All heaters have a sealed fl ue collector and a po wer
exhaust s ystem which e nable conventional vertical
venting or horizontal ven ting. Power exhau st , wh en
used with ho ri zontal ven ti ng, lowers operating co st
because it red uces stack los ses. It also allows the
option of not penetrati ng the roof, or multiple floors.
The versatile powe r e xhaust (on some models)
reduces installation cost f ur ther by allowi ng the
exhaust to be directed upward, left or ri ght, just by
rotating the ex haust assembly.
In Shot Burners
These lightweight aluminized steel burners are
maintenance-free and never require adjustment. The
burner venturi mixes air and gas in the correct proportion
for efficient combustion. The entire burner assembly is
removable as one piece for ease of service.
Patented Tubular Heat Exchangers
Constructed of aluminized st eel for superior
resistance to corro sion and oxidati on ; for additional
protection, some models h ave an o ptional stainle ss
steel he at exchanger. The pat en ted curvin g design
provides for co mplete exposure of the heati ng
surface to the supply air st re am. Rounded su rf aces
minimize air resistance and permit air t o surround all
heat tran sf er surfaces for excell ent heat transf er.
Tubular des ign means lighter wei ght and significa ntly
longer service life du e to lo we r thermal -induced
stresses. .
Direct Spark Ignition
In combination with the 24 -volt main gas valve wit h
100% shutoff for safety, the di rect spark ignition
control p ro vides positive, re liable and safe main
burner ignition. This eli minates the need fo r a pilot
light, improving system e ff ic iency and reliability. A
separate f la me sensor p rovides pr oof of ma in burner
ignition. If loss of main burner flame should occu r,
the control wil l reinitiate ign ition three times bef or e
locking o ut, thus re ducing nuis ance servic e calls.
The unit will reinitiate ignition after the one h our
lockout. The prepurge o peration safety removes al l
gas and flue products from the system prior to
ignition.
Cabinet
Constructed heavy gauge p ainted steel, each
cabinet h as a two-poin t suspension s ystem fo r easy
installatio n (larger and two-fan models have four point suspensions). The wiring junction box i s
conveniently l oc ated o n the s id e of the cabinet
(UHCM only) for easy access and ad equa te
protection.

• 3/8 x 16 rivet nuts are located on the top of cabinet for suspending unit using threaded rod.
• Power exhaust system with a sealed flue collector allows conventional vertical or horizontal venting to 35 ft (depends
on unit size).
• Direct drive propeller fans are dynamically balanced for quiet, smooth operation.
Commercial Unit Heaters
[1] 2-1/8 x 4 in. (54 x 102 mm) diameter adaptor is furnished with unit for flue connection.
[2] 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 in. (57 x 70 mm) rectangular to 5 in. (127 mm) round adaptor is furnished with unit for flue connection.
[3] 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 in. (57 x 70 mm) rectangular to 6 in. (152 mm) round adaptor is furnished with unit for flue connection.
All models are 115 volts, 60 Hz, 1 phase.
Note: UHCM unit heaters are not approved for residential applications.
