Thank you for purchasing the Mini Tri Ball II by American DJ®. Every Mini Tri Ball II has been thoroughly tested and has been shipped in perfect operating condition. Carefully check the shipping carton for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If the carton appears to be damaged, carefully inspect your unit for any damage and be sure all equipment necessary to operate the system has arrived intact. Caution! There are no user serviceable parts inside this unit. Do not
attempt any repairs yourself, doing so will void your manufactures warranty. In the unlikely event your unit may require service please contact American DJ.
PLEASE recycle the shipping carton whenever possible.
Safety Issues: This unit may blow a fuse if the maximum allotted load of 2 amps is reached. If the fuse needs replacement, always replace the fuse with same exact type that was remove, unless oth­erwise instructed by an authorized American DJ® service technician. Use of a different type fuse from that which is recommended may cause fire or electric shock and will void the manufactures warranty.

Mini Tri Ball II General Instructions
To optimize the performance of this product, please read these operating instructions carefully to familiarize yourself with the basic operations of this unit. These instructions contain important safety information regarding the use and maintenance of this unit. Please keep this manual with the unit, for future reference.
Mini Tri Ball II Safety Precautions
• Be sure that the local power outlet match that of the required volt-
age for your unit.
• Do not attempt to remove or break off the ground prong from the
electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the risk of electrical
shock and re in case of an internal short.
• Do not remove the unit cover under any conditions. There are no
user serviceable parts inside.
• Never plug this unit in to a dimmer pack
• Always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper
ventilation. Allow about 6” (15cm) between this device and a wall.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock or re, do not expose this unit
rain or moisture.
• This unit is intended for indoor use only, use of this product out-
doors voids all warranties.
• During long periods of non use, disconnect the unit’s main power.
• Always mount this unit in safe and stable matter.
• Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed
so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the fixture.
• Cleaning -The fixture should be cleaned only as recommended by
the manufacturer.
• The fixture should be serviced by qualified service personnel
when: A. The power cord or the plug has been damaged. B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance. C. The appliance has been exposed to rain or water. D. The fixture does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
Mini Tri Ball II Operation
Power Supply: Before plugging your unit in, be sure the source
voltage in your area matches the required voltage for your American DJ® Mini Tri Ball.™ The American DJ® Mini Tri Ball
II
is available in a
120v and 230v version. Because line voltage may vary from venue to
venue, be sure to plug your xture into a wall outlet with a matching
power supply before attempting to operate.
General Operation:
Simplicity! Just plug this fixture in, and watch it go. This fixture is designed to operate as a stand alone unit, there is no need of a con­troller. It has been tested at the factory there is no assembly neces­sary. The Mini Tri Ball II is ready to be plugged in, out of the box. There is no power switch, after plugging the unit the unit will light up and begin to slowly rotate in a single direction. If there is no rotation and light output check the fuse. If the fuse is good, please contact our toll free customer support number for further instructions. Please

support.
Operating Modes:
Switch in the "I" position: Mode 1 - In this mode the dome will spin continuously, regardless of the presence of sound. The colors and strobe effect will react to sound.
Switch in the “0” static position: Mode 2 - In this mode the dome will remain static, and the colors and strobe effect will react to sound.
Switch in the “II” sound active position: Mode 3 - In this mode the dome, colors, and strobe effect will react to sound. Please note that tapping on the unit, or high pitched sounds may not trigger the unit, the unit is designed to react to low frequencies (bass). Also note that the music sensitivity is preset at the factory and may not be changed or adjusted. The unit will stop after 10 seconds if no sound is present.
Mini Tri Ball II Fuse Replacement
First unplug the power. The fuse holder is located next to the power cord. Using a flat-head screw driver unscrew the fuse holder. Remove the bad fuse and replace with a new one.
