LinkSwitch
With your new LinkSwitch, you can activate battery-operated assistive devices such as tape recorders, radios or adapted toys. Any commercially available switch with a 1/8-inch jack can be plugged into the LinkSwitch, including Adaptivation’ s T action Pads and Pal Pads.
Directions:
1. Make sure a new 9-volt battery is installed in your LinkSwitch.
2. Plug a T action Pad or any adaptive switch with a 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) plug into the input jack.
3. Plug the corresponding output cord into your battery-operated device.
5. Turn the Mode knob to the desired setting, and touch the input switch to activate the battery-operated toy .
Y our LinkSwitch was designed to last several months on one 9-volt battery , however, you should still turn it OFF when you are not using it. If left in with the output activated (the toy is ON), the batteries may die prematurely .
The LinkSwitch has two channels of operation (#1 and #2), and channels can be programmed independently .
Any time the Delay knob is moved to the OFF position, or you change the mode of operation, the LinkSwitch will turn the toy OFF until reactivated by using the input switch. In order to use the LinkSwitch, the Delay knob must NOT be in the OFF position. Your LinkSwitch will activate battery-operated devices in the following ways:
1. Direct Mode: Hold your hand on the input switch and the battery-operated device is activated. Release your hand and the device turns OFF .
2. Latched Mode: Touch the input switch once, and the battery-operated device turns ON. T ouch it again, and it turns OFF .
3. Time Mode: T ouch the input switch, and the battery-operated device turns ON for a period of time (1 second to 60 minutes). The timer will “time-out” even if the input switch is continually held.
4. Alarm Mode: T ouch the input switch and the battery-operated device will activate after a preset amount of time has passed (1 second to 60 minutes). The battery-operated device can be turned OFF by touching the input switch again. Another press of the input switch will activate the Alarm Mode again.
