should be worn as close to the center of your body as possible (Just to the left or right of your belt buckle). Walk on hard
level surfaces such as a road, track or walking path. Take even strides when walking or running and avoid sudden or sharp turns.
III. CALCULATING YOUR STRIDE
The Two default stride settings for WALK and RUN modes in the PulseMate are, respective,
2 feet (~0.6 meter) and 3 feet (~0.9 meter). These are averages taken from adult males. In order to achieve accurate mileage results from your PulseMate, it is important that both lengths of your walking and running strides are correctly entered into the unit. This can be done in two ways, which are having the PulseMate automatically calculate the stride or manually inputting the stride lengths. For either case, first plan a route for your exercise and measure out a distance of exactly 30 feet (10m) for the calculations.
