SAFETY SUMMARY
The following recommendations are made for the safe installation and use of the PreciseR meter:
Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
DO NOT install this equipment without rst reading and understanding this instruction sheet. If you are unable to understand these instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel if applicable before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
DO NOT smoke while using oxygen.
DO NOT use oxygen in the presence of ames, sparks, or glowing object.
Oxygen rapidly accelerates combustion.
Use of this product with any oxygen concentrator other than the models listed in this documentation is NOT recommended. Such unauthorized usage may result in inaccurate oxygen delivery and may be hazardous to the patient.
The PreciseR applicable to Oxygen Concentrator Models IRC301, IRC301O2, IRC3LX, IRC501, IRC501O2, IRC5LX , IRC5LXO2 and IRC6LXO2.
The owmeters are designed for an input pressure of 5 psi (34.5 kPa) ONLY.
Invacare recommends that Crush-Proof oxygen tubing (supplied by Invacare) be used exclusively with this product and NOT exceed 25 ft. (7.6 meters) in total length from either the Humidier Bottle Adapter to the patient OR the Pediatric er Bottle is NOT used.
DO NOT disassemble. Only authorized or factory-trained personnel should perform disassembly procedures.

HANDLING PROCEDURES
Shipping and Transportation Instructions
The shipping container for the Pediatric Flowmeter has been designed to assure maximum protection for the flowmeter.
If the flowmeter is to be reshipped, it should be packed in the same carton. Extra cartons are available from Invacare.
Unpacking
1. Check for any obvious damage to the carton or its contents. If damage is evident, notify your Carrier/ Dealer for further instruction.
2. Remove all the loose packing from the carton.
1
3. Carefully remove all the components from the carton.
NOTE: Unless the flowmeter is to be used immediately, retain container and packing materials for use in storing until use is required.
Inspection
1. Examine exterior of the flowmeter for nicks, dents, scratches or other damages. Inspect all components.
Storage
1. Store the repackaged flowmeter in a dry area.
2. DO NOT place other objects on top of the repackaged device.
If Humidifier Bottle is Prescribed
WARNING
DO NOT OVERFILL Humidifier Bottle.
1. Fill the humidifier with water to the level shown on the bottle.
2. Place the humidifier in the humidifier compartment on the concentrator.
3. Attach the humidifier bottle adapter to the humidifier bottle.
4. Attach the 25 ft. (Max.) CP tubing to the humidifier bottle output connector.
WARNING
SET-UP WITH MODELS IRC301, IRC301O2, IRC3LX, IRC501, IRC501O2, IRC5LX, IRC5LXO2 AND IRC6LXO2 (FIGURES 1 and 2)
NOTE: Invacare recommends that Crush-Proof oxygen tubing be used for ALL connections.
WARNING
Connect cannula to child ONLY after ALL tubing connections have been made. Possible water feedback through the tubing could occur if this sequence is NOT followed.
1. Place your flowmeter on table top.
TM
2. Turn PreciseR fully open position.
3. Press concentrator power switch to the ON position. The power light located on the control panel will illuminate GREEN (LX Models ONLY ). The alarm will "beep" three (3) times indicating that the system is functioning properly.
When adjusting the Pediatric Flowmeter, the flowmeter on the oxygen concentrator MUST be set at 2 L/min. Failure to comply with this procedure will cause incorrect flow rates to the patient.
4. Set the OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR to 2 L/m.
5. Allow concentrator to run a minimum of 20 min. to ensure proper concentration level. Flow indicators (ALL 5LXO2 and 6LXO2) require proper operating time to adequately read flow level.

WARNING
Connect cannula to child ONLY after ALL tubing connections have been made. Possible water feedback through the tubing could occur if this sequence is NOT followed.
5. Attach connector provided to the OPPOSITE END of the 25 ft. (Max.) CP tubing and then connect it to the nasal cannula.
6. Connect one (1) of the 7 ft. Crush-Proof tubing from oxygen output fitting of the Concentrator to the oxygen input fitting on the Pediatric Flowmeter.
7. Connect the other 7 ft. Crush-Proof tubing from the Pediatric Flowmeter output fitting to the humidifier bottle adapter.
CAUTION
DO NOT coil Crush-Proof tubing on COLD floor or condensation will form inside the tubing.
8. Coil excess 25 ft. (Max.) CP Crush-Proof tubing on table surface.
9. Proceed to
Using the Pediatric Flowmeter with
