This section provides step-by-step procedures in installing the camera on a straight wall using an
outdoor housing with heater and fan and heavy duty bracket.
Before installation, prepare the following tools and accessories which are not included in the
camera package, thus must be purchased separately:
Wall Mount Bracket with Housing SMAX-0001 for 110V or SMAX-0002 for 220V
Outdoor Power Cable (length depends on installation requirement)
Exterior-Grade Ethernet Cable (length depends on installation requirement)
Step 1: Prepare the Camera
1. Remove the lens cover from the camera.

Step 4: Waterproof and Insert the Cable
1. As needed, detach one or more clamping nuts of the cable gland. The cable gland is where
the cable, like Ethernet and power, will pass through. Usually, one cable gland is used for
Ethernet and another one is used for the power cable.
2. Using a finger, push from one side to remove the sealing insert from the cable gland body.
3. Using a pointed object, such as a screwdriver, push through the thin rubber layer of the
sealing insert to create a hole.

4. Insert the clamping nut through the exterior-grade Ethernet cable.
5. From the side of the thin rubber layer, squeeze the Ethernet connector through the hole of the
layer until the sealing insert completely passes through the Ethernet cable.
NOTE: Do the same procedures to insert other cables, like power cable, etc.
