1. Introduction to ACS-N5430FL/8PO(12PO)
Welcome to the ACS-N5430/8PO(12PO) industry Console Server, in which a
Single Board Computer with high performance Intel Core2Duo or Mobile
processor designed-in. The system is designed for extreme environment with of
operating range from 0 to 50 .℃℃
For this product feature, ACS-N5430/8PO(12PO) can make a lot of outdoor
applications available, such as Traffic Control, Vehicle Computer, Remote
Workstation, Outdoor Data Acquisition, Aviation or Military industries.
Besides the original 4 ports RS-232 onboard, the ACS-N5430FL/8PO(12PO)
contains an internal PCI-104 interface UART card and provides you extra 8(12)
ports individually switch-able RS-232/422/485 ports. It can fulfill most of the UART
device connection requirements.
The ACS-N5430/8PO(12PO) is loaded with special on-board features that
rival full-size systems. It has two fully integrated 10/100/1000BASE-TX network
interfaces with high performance networking functions. Supports Compact
Flash™ Type II interface. Plus optional supports for AC97 sound with CD-input.
The ACS-N5430FL/8PO(12PO) also includes one 200-pin SO-DIMM DDR
sockets for up to 2GB memory. With VGA, DVI and S-Video, the high resolution
and quality display connection can fulfill the customer's visual enjoyment.
The fan-less design makes the customers no longer to worry about the
reliability of the system reduced by the operation of the fan. With fully calculated
and tested thermal-pipes design, the ACS-5430FL/8PO(12PO) will give you the
experience of "install and leave" which you've never had.

2. Procedure of Assembly/Disassembly
2-1 Installing the 2.5” Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
The following are procedure for install 2.5”HDD device:
1. Remove bottom door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.
2. Insert the rubbers into the HDD bracket for each edge.

3. Lock HDD and Bracket together via screws (4pcs).
4. Plug the HDD cable into the 44-pin header connectors in mainboard.

5. Remove right side door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.
6. Route the HDD cable through the mainboard.
7. Lock right side door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.

8. Plug HDD cable into the HDD module.
9. Lock HDD bracket back to case by four screws.
9. Lock the door screws in system bottom case.

2-2 Installing the 2.5”SATA Hard Disk Drive (HDD) (Option)
The following are procedure for install 2.5”HDD device:
1. Remove bottom door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.
2. Insert the rubbers into the HDD bracket for each edge.

4. Plug the HDD cable into the power and signal header connectors in mainboard.

5. Remove right side door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.
6. Route the HDD cable through the main board.
7. Lock right side door screws (2pcs) in system bottom case.
8. Plug HDD cable into the HDD module.
9. Lock HDD bracket back to case by four screws.
10. Lock the door screws in system bottom case.

2-3 Installing CF card
The following are procedure for install CF card:
1. Remove screws (2pcs) in CF card bracket.
2. Install CF card to the bracket.
3. Insert the CF card to CF card expansion slot.
4. Lock the door screws.

2-4 Installing SO-DIMM
The following are procedure for install SO-DIMM:
1. Remove HDD out from the system.
2. Install the SO-DIMM into the SO-DIMM socket.
3. Re-Install HDD device.
4. Lock the bottom case door screws.
