1 Introduction to AR-ES5890
AR-ES5890 is a system product mainly for ticket control, navigation, advertising, and fleet management’s applications. AR-ES5890 can satisfy user requirements in any application environment. AR-ES5890 has diverse physical interfaces in the front panel, such as VGA port, audio output,10/100 LAN connectors, 5 USB Ports, DVI-D port, power switch, external switch jack and PCI slot. The system provides the capacity for extending I/O device by adding 2 SO-DIMM DDR3, CF card depending on user needs.

2 Procedures of Assembly/Disassembly
2.1 Installing the DDR3 SO-DIMM
1. Loose two thumb screws of chassis top cover counterclockwise to open the cover.
Counterclockwise
2. Align the notch key on DDR module with the rib on the slot.

3. Firmly press modules into the socket.

2.2 Installing the CPU & FAN module
1. Confirm arrow of the knob of CPU socket turn toward the unlock sign before putting on CPU.
2. Aim the triangle mark of CPU at socket of left lower corner and then put the CPU on socket.

3. Lock CPU by turning the socket knob clockwise with screw driver
4. Take off the paper from fan module.

5. Then put fan module upon the CPU.
6. Fasten four screws of fan module with screw driver.

7. Plug in the fan connector to main board.

2.3 Installing the PCI-E 16X interface card
1. Unfasten two screws with screw driver.
2. Take out the bracket and unfasten the screw

3. Take off the original L type bracket. Assemble the new interface card and fasten the
screw.
4. Slide interface card into the PCI-E 16X slot.

5. Confirm the interface card is locked by hook of PCI-E 16X slot.
6. Fasten two screws to fix the bracket & interface card.

2.4 Installing the 2.5” Hard Disk Driver (HDD)
1. Put the HDD on the bracket of top cover.
2. Fasten four screws with screw driver.

3. Connect the SATA cable & power cable to the HDD.
4. Connect the SATA & power cable to the main board.

5. Finally, close the top cover and fasten clockwise the two thumb screw.

2.5 Installing & take out the CF card
1. Unfasten the screw and open the CF bracket.
2. Insert the CF card into the CF socket.

3. Push “push pin” then CF card will be released.
4. Pull the CF card straight out as shown below.
5. Close the CF bracket and fasten it with screw.
