HF antenna V101
Purpose and general information
The V101 antenna is stationary with minimum dimensions for roof mounting and
requires an area of about 300 sq.m. It is intended to operate together with
transceivers within the frequency range from 1.5 to 30 MHz and no special
orientation is required when it is being installed.
It can be used for transmitting and receiving signals at short and medium
distances. The antenna is particularly efficient at correspondent’s remoteness
less than 1500 km.
Antenna set
The antenna consists of the following main components:
• Antenna legs /1/ - 2 pc/s. Made of steel ropes, steel hardware, aluminum
tubings and fixtures
connecting ropes and tubings. Each antenna leg is 12 m long.
• Antenna mast /3/ - 1 pc and guying wires. The antenna mast is 10 m long; the
separate sections
are mounted telescopically one over another. The length in fully lowered
position for transportation
is 2.5 m.
